I went to check the compression, but my gauge wouldn't fit right so that was out. But I checked everything else the guys had listed...the bike starts first or second kick with no choke and runs really good...so I traded, hopefully I'm ok. :ermm:

Just purchased a Banshee and it runs great, but I noticed after I put it in the garage today that there was some gas dripping from one of the carbs...its coming from the line on the bottom that dumps out right in front of the swing arm...any ideas? Thanks.

Well I traded the 2002 Banshee today! Now I have to get the twist throttle off and figure out how to get the bike to idle. Thanks for the help.

I just purchased a 2002 Banshee today :biggrin: ! I have a couple of questions: -What is done when you remove the TORS (I'm pretty sure mine is already removed, but I want to make sure its right)? -I want to remove the twist throttle and install a thumb throttle...what parts do I need? Thanks.

Where is the pilot at? I was told this may be my problem causing my Banshee not to idle. Also, will the choke stay out on its own or will it go back into the carb when you release it? Thanks.

Im looking at a 2002 Banshee that runs great. But I noticed when looking at it there were two plugs in front of the engine/under the gas tank that weren't connected to anything. The guy selling the quad said they bypassed/removed whatever that piece was. Any ideas what it was? Thanks.

I have a 2004 Kawasaki KFX400 with a set of new Maxxis Razrs on it...Saturday Im trading for a 2002 Banshee...will the wheels on the KFX bolt on the Banshee or are they a different bolt pattern? Thanks.

The bike starts on the 1st or 2nd kick and seems to run really good. No smoke from the pipes. How are these quads for woods or trails? How long does a rebuild typicaly last? Thanks for the help.

How maintenance oreianted are Banshees?...I keep on hearing stuff about rebuilds. I have riden Banshees, but never owned one. Thanks for any help.

I currently ride a 2004 Kawasaki KFX400...I have a guy wanting to trade me a 2002 Yamaha Banshee with the following mods: 1) complete Toomey T5 System 2) Vito's Reed spacers 3) Vito's performance reeds 4) Brand new R&K racing sprocket and gold chain 5) Aluminum wheels with brand new tires on rear, good shape on front 6) Protaper racing series handle bars 7) ITC twist throttle 8) Pro Armor skid plate for motor 9) All the bearings in the entire quad are new 10) Moose Racing boost bottle 11) Aftermarket California Graphic Kit with seat to match 12) Head has been shaved 10 thousand 13) The motor has been bored 10 thousands with a weisco piston 14) 1 year old Vitos performance clutch 15) Nerf bars 16) Carbs have a stage two jet kit in them 17) Aftermarket radiator 18) Stainless steel radiator guard I went to look at the quad today...it was a little dirty, but ran great. Can you guy give me any tips to determine if this Banshee is worth while. It ran strong and didn't pop or crackle, but it wouldn't idle unless you twisted the throttle a little (1/8 of a turn). Please give me any common problems to look for. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
