i have a few questions not to steal the thread... waht is a leak down test and a squish clearence test.?? i have heard both of these terms and have no clue what they mean?>

i called K&t and he said the difference between the duneable is spring on the shiftforks? he said just as long as i am not beating up the tranny i should be ok, (not using the motor to slow me down.. ) he said i should be ok with an override,. non dunable especially if it is just a drag bike..and he informed me that shift forks become matanice with overrides as in every 12-15 hrs.

Hey guys i was wondering if anyone knows how to tell if a shift fork is bad besides the obvious... bent scratch because mine look new. also does anyone know where i can get some new ones for a good price my local yamah dealer wants 80 bucks for all 3

hey just wanted to let you know i found one on ebay that was cut by K&T for 400 guy said its about 1 yr old could not pass it up now i can sell mine and and have about 270 ish into an override. thanks for all the help though dajogejr.

i would go with gravity just drill out your gas cap, run 3/8 fuel line and oversized bowls and you should be fine...

i am going to be running 40 mm set up by packard. are you going to be running a pump or gravity feed?

i have never even seen a ranger at the drag strip,, and i plan on trailering the bike out there... if they come out to the drag strip i will juust let thebike sit...

ok well i am in the process of tearing it back apart to get the override. i cannot seem to split the cases from the bottom i have never done it this way before . any ideas on that i am doing wrong? i need a new seal kit also now since i split the cases again lol those are new seals...

damn it you guys lol ok i will freakin get it done the only thing i am scared of is, i was told that i absolutly cannot let off in any gear of the override. i kinda wanted to see what the bike is going to be like first and get use to it without messing it up and accidentially letting off in a gear and ruining something... that is my biggest concern. i mean what if i am racing with the override in and i have to let off really quick and i forget to pull in the clutch right away what happens to my motor then? what do i get a 1-4, 2-5?

not to go againt what your saying but i am pretty sure if that was really a concern packard would have mentioned it he advised me that i will be gaining about 1-1.5 bike lengths from a override but i should be just fine with what i have...

i have taken 5 different banshee engines apart they are not hard by any means, and plus i will prob go through the motor next winter again so if i am not happy with it then i can do the override. i do have another question someone mentioned that a +8 will not be enough? any thought or experiences?

ok so i did the lock up i am going to wait on the overide tires i already bought them they are the 12 paddle extreem ultra lites axle is a gun drilled jj&a i am building a drag bike but this is more of a weekend play drag bike as in i am not out to set any records, shit with my fat ass on it i am lucky i will beat stock 450's lol

well i went wider on the front just because at pismo the drag strip can be kinda shitty and that is where i am going to be 95% of the time, and the carbs thats what denis from packard ent recomended so i am not going to argue with him... ohh yeah it has a lockout and as far as the override i was told i wil not gain anything from it...

I have a set of 10 paddle extreems on good condition i can send pics upon req but it wont let upload them they are in good condition the blades have some wear but no chunks or rips taken out of them bought these new for 345$ the 7 paddle haulers are in excellent condition no chuncks or rips bought these new for 320$... they have seen sitting for about 1 yr in my garage and its time for them to go.... pm me with offers my bad they are both on 10 " wheels...
