let me try, i had pics of the step by step process but here is where i am right now.. mostly dont just waiting for my dad to finish the seat cover.. its says 50k max and i try to upload the pic and says too big... i hate computers..

thats not the same as building your own... i will always build my own so i can have the pleasure of knowing i made that not, ohh i bought it from this guy... imo a 421 is always a good setup.

i bought my shee in feb and i am almost done spent about 4k on the bike and who knows how much on the 4mm cub override powdercoating lock up carbs elkas marvins the list goes on and on... money was not an issue at the time but now i am starting to feel it a little but i am still in college and just bought a house and a diesel cummins its just money spend it not worth sitting in the bank... i am hopefull going to button it up this weekend and take it out to pismo for the first time see what happens but my question is do we ever really finish? i think i am going to be constantly working on it... -
so where would you guys recommend i start? let me list what i have 421 cub timing is @ 8 40mm hv lectrons converted to alky set up by packard shearer sm oof +8 swing arm 12 paddle ultra lites lock up override cut by K&t anything else you guys need to know i will tell you but i am curious to know if you guys think i am doing anything wrong? i am not sure on the compresion i should check that. when i spoke with packard he stated that i would not really gain anything from porting the cubs and to try them out first because i am new to the whole drag setup. he said i should be just over 100 hp and he said at most will be 110hp

i would like to know what kinda dyno you were on also because that sounds a bit off... i know a&s does good work but that sounds a bit off...

the only thing i am wondering is carbs you can jet, but everything else is pretty much stuff you buy? unless i am missing something/ thanks for helping me out fouledout.. i have my 421 with shear pipes and 40 m hv lectorns want to get the most out of it,...

yeah thats a 4mill and i am pretty sure dajogejr has his setup dialed in... there is no way with just cubs he is putting out 80 hp i am lucky if i am putting out 100 and thats a with all the bells and whistles. the only way to really tell is race a 80hp shee or to get it dynoed. my guess at most 70 hp considering the info you have provided.

i have a cub with a 4mm, timing is at 8 with shear drag pipes and 40mm hv lectrons converted to alky lock up clutch and override tranny, everyone said if i put it on a dyno i should see somewhere around 100 so how could he be putting out 80? with just cubs? from everything i was told i would guess your closer to 65-70. but i am just going off what people have told me.

do you guys know if pulling the clutch everytime i shift would hurt the bike? because i am not used to the bike and i am not going to be at full throttle and just want to pull in the clutch to be sure i dont ruin the shift forks?

OK so i fired the bike up its a 421 cub that i converted to alky, and i am getting liquid out of the pipes.. every time i rev the engine up it blows out some oily liquid,, i am pretty sure that its not coolant because when i was running the alky it came out the color of the pre mix and when i purged the line to store it it came out black from the gas any ideas?

OK so my drag 421 is done and i am going to take it out and start it for the first time... i am just curious with the override i know you cannot let the engine slow you down but is it ok to put around with an override? as in moving forward but not at full throttle? thanks in advamce..

ok so i have a plus 8 swingarm and i bought a chain roller and cannot figure out how to mount it... i am thinking before i got the bike powder coated i cut a tab off that was used for mounting the chain roller.. so now my 2 questions 1) how many inches on the swinger can you go before you need to absolutely run a chain roller. 2) is there any other way to mount one if i need to run it? Thanks in advance for anyone who helps.

sorry for not posting what i have done.. 421 cub, 40mm lectrons on alky, shearer out of frame small bore, tires are 12 paddle 22" cannot really think of anything else. let me know what you guys think i should be running? i think a 13 42 should be ok?> 18 -34 seems to tall..

i am thinking a 13 in the front and a 42 in the rear that sound about right?

if your builing a drag bike why not lectrons? 40mm?

have the frame back and it looks sweet for some reason i cannot post pics on here.... it is almost done i have been working on it for 2 days straight.. onlything left is to drop the motor in and i am waiting for my elkas to be built...

ok its the gear set the only gets 1 shift fork i am just curious where the shift fork rides on the gear set. it looks like there are 2 places it could posibly sit, i bought it used and its a non dubeable so no instructions or springs....

ok so i bought an override, and i just want to make sure that i am putting the shift forks in the right spot on the non sprocket gear set. there are 2 notches and it looks like it can go and looking at it from the top does it go on the left or right slot on a override?
