Yeah last time i was at coos bay at horse falls campground there were a few guys with bikes reving up their engine and popping their clutch like they were trying to launch and was spinning their tires on pavement. some people much have alot of money because we all know they go through paddles, and paddles tires aren't cheap. another thing that i noticed that makes me cringe is when people start their bike in the morning and just start to rev the shit out of it for like 5 minutes non stop :ohmy:
  3. I run 50:1 because that is what mike at cascade told me to run. he is the one who built my motor and said that is what he runs in all his bikes at cascade. so far so good running it that way and i am on my second year on that top end.
  4. I run Castor 927 at 50:1. I don't know if this is true or not but i herd klotz will make cranks rust over a period of time. like i said i don't know if that is true. Has anyone else herd this????

How was your crank was everything tight with no play? it looks like your piston was hitting your dome. make sure you do a leak down test to make sure you have no air leaks and save your self from going through another top end. Just some ideas there for ya.... I wouldn't run a octane booster. I run a 50/50 mix of 94/110. I don't know if running a octane booster with hurt anything though? Anyone???

  7. From what i herd you can't ride all night at sand lake any more there is a curfew there too. Florence, Winchester and Coos bay are all worth the drive. at florence you can ride all day long and not see the same areas if you wanted. Giving up riding all night is a little sacrifice to give up. i don't mind because i am usually hammered and passed out so i can wake up early and start riding the next morning.

  12. it all really depends on what type of riding you do. if you do all around sand riding then go with a 20x10x10. if you are going to do drag racing go with a 22x10x8. i personally think with a stock swinger and a pretty much stock motor with pipes 22x10x8 is to much tire. i used to run a 20x10x10 9 paddle with a stock swinger on my bike before i did a complete rebuild and i loved it. it was really fun to ride but was probably a lil wheelie happy. a 20x10x10 8 paddle will probably work really good for you. if you plan on extending the swingarm any time soon or doing some motor work then go with a 9 or 10 paddle. just my 2 cents. hope that helps. good luck.
  13. i would check the wiring that goes from the kill and head light switch. there will be a connection under the plastic around the radiator. make sure that connection is clean and pluged together tight. and if that dosn't fix it. i would open up the plastic kill switch. its two phillips screws on the bottom and make sure all the wires are connected and havn't broke off. my kill switch stops working every once in a while to, and so i open the kill switch up and one of the wires comes undone and all i have to do is reattatch it. i do this by saudering it. i know i mispelled that word (saudering). thats my 2 cents. hope this helps. good luck!

  17. I got stock carbs. and dual k&n pods with red outer wears for them. i don't need them and want to get rid of them.
  18. I had my motor done at cascade and it rips. they were really nice. they even fixed some small things for free with out me even knowing like rebuilding my kick started so it didn't do the famous rattle.

  20. good ideas i am really looking to launch in second and i love the bite of my 10 paddles. i actually think i am running a 13x44 combo on sprockets. i was thinking of dropping either to a 12 tooth on the front or adding a tooth to the rear. i am a heavier guy i weigh 220. i don't drag race alot either its just every once in a while. i do tree shots more than anything else. i am running a 22 inch rear paddle also. i wanna avoid first as much as possible. i hate hitting neutral when i am trying to shift. any more ideas. the more the better.... thanks
