  1. Would they need a filler rod? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  2. I need some input from the guys who weld for a living and or the chassis builder guys. I have a Laegers Racing chassis made of 4130 Chromoly steel. I have developed a crack at my upper rear motor mount on the right side. (kicker side) My question is: can I weld this successfully with my MIG welder? If so what wire and gas? I have decent MIG welding skills. I do not own a TIG machine. If needed I can take it to someone who has a tig machine. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  3. Got it! Thanks Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  4. Mine is from Lane at Driveline. Tricked, do you have a link or web address for this? I can't find anything other than forums on this.
  5. Copy. Thanks! Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  6. Cool. So is the Drive line different from the Gitgot unit? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  7. OK, Green hooked me up with some great info on the Mattoon products. Tricked, help me out some more with your thoughts on the sling shot idea. The Gitgot website doesn't seem to offer a lot of info. I have a stock cover that has been modified by Duncan with a quick access cover. Will the sling shot lock up fit under my cover? Who sells the sling shot version? I like the idea of the reinforced cover and the looks too... Trying to weigh all the options. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  8. Try Rexburg Motorsports. They have a dyno. Or, like Builder said, post your mods and let the crew on here help you out. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  9. I checked out the Mattoon a little bit ago. Looks like they only offer one model that is borderline severe duty? Am I finding that right? Looked like a 10 plate setup over all package/system. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  10. The goal is to maintain strong clutch pressure while reducing clutch lever effort. I am certain would smoke my clutch going back to all stock springs. Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  11. Its about a 70 HP +/- motor. Nothing too crazy Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  12. So can I expect to be able to slip and feather the clutch like usual for traction control and technical riding? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  13. Excellent feed back guys! Thanks!! Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  14. Is lever pull stiffer at high rpm? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  15. OK, finally some good feedback! Keep it coming! Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  16. I have never ridden a stock frame bike with a LT setup. My last one was on stock a-arms and stock swinger with Ohlins front shocks and a PEP rework on the rear. I was breaking and cracking everything at the time it seemed like. About that time is when the Laeger's chassis was introduced. Once I found out about it and realized that is cured so many of the factory frames design flaws I set my sights on the Laeger setup.
  17. I agree with this. If you have truly found a way to afford one of these at your age, then I don't see why you can't make this happen sooner then later.
  18. It is this very reason that people start tearing you down Thack. You need to research some of your plans and ideas just a little further at times. Too often you come across as knowing it all and then you seem to refuse to listen to what others are trying to tell you. At least this time you remained calm were open minded enough to take in the suggestion. Too old is a bad excuse. My dad has been paralyzed for 47 of his 70 years and lets almost nothing stop him from doing what he wants. My grandpa, starting weight lifting with my dad after he was rehabilitated, he lifted every morning at 6:00 am until he was 88, died at 93.
  19. You realize that both of the brackets I mentioned bolt onto the yfzr frame to correct the factory flawed design right? Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk
  20. Have you taken into consideration the "Cecco Bracket" from Houser or the "YFZ450R Castor Bracket" from Walsh in your build idea? Does your frame that you have drawn move the front suspension forward from oem banshee position?
