Weird how it happened to me. My bansh was pretty much bone stock except for some pipes for 2 years after I bought it. (paid 5,500 for a 06 off the floor).
Rolled it one weekend out in the dunes and bent the subframe. FIXED IT!! and ever since then I have been spending money on it like fucking crazy!!
I've dumped like $3,000 in the last 6 months....fuckin insane!!
If you ever want to spend some cash on your bike and can't kwite part with the dough.
Take it out to the dunes and roll it....worked for me! ::

went ahead and got a pancake bearing from cascade....should have went someplace else...I ended up spending like 300 bucks on a bunch of other stuff while I was there. That is one kick ass website they got going on over there
Anyhow...When installing the pancake bearing is there anything I should know?
or is it pretty cut and dry just unscrew the stock and install the new?
Thanx for any replies!!

For a stripped oil plug thread would you guys recommend a heli-coil or a retap. I looked everywhere and can't find the right tap.. i can get the bolt to sit a 1/8 of a turn past hand tight but it's freakin me out.. I don't want to ride the bansh till its tight

is oil being spit from the exhaust caused by too much oil being added to in the bike?

Man..... ....... I must be completely behind.......when did 80 wt gear oil become such a bad thing to run???

they are 34mm. they are 6inches long. sure I'll throw in the outerwears, but like i said the outerwears are kinda beat up and one has a small hole in it from touching the stinger when it was hot.
got paypal? don't worry about the shipping cost. I'll fork for that.

well for the stock motor I would at the most run 28's just run the stock carbs with T.O.R.S removed and jet them I have a set out in the shop that are suppostobe jetted for sea level with tors removed that are up for sale they have the ide screws and cable make an offer if you want it? and for my-dixie what kind of port job is on the cylinders what pipes are you running it will help out a bit
It's a drag port without the boost ports and some bill's pipes (they can be compared to paul turner mid ranges)..... I think where I am picking up drag is in the jetting of the 34's. That and the fact that I am not running 110 octane with 20cc domes. With 20cc domes is it mandatory to run 110 octane?
Advancing the timing +4 wouldn't hurt either

I have some 34mm pj's with a cylinder intake port, a cool head with 20 cc domes and some v-force 3 reeds.
Dam..... I'm having some trouble getting them dialed in just right.
Can anyone offer some suggestions for jetting them for sea level at 90 degree+ weather.
Any replies will be much appreciated...thank you!!!

well it depends on how you ported. (did you take any off the top or bottom of the openings into the sleves?) or did you have it ported by the shop. also, what is your elevation and temp. i'm not sure on those carbs, but you can searck the jetting and exhaust forum to get a pretty good idea of a good starting point. also, what kind of ridding do you do?
p.s. i have seen recent topics on the pipes,, and carbs you have.
thanks bro...I'll be sure to do a little more research in the forum. I'm out here in so. cal so when I have the time and money I'll hit glamis or gordon's...but I'm digging superstition more and more these days.
I'll basically ride anything I can set my wheels on! thanks again!

All these "special" clutch plate are nothing more than FZR 1000, R6, or Raptor fibers and new steels depending on where u get them from. They buy them at cost or wholesale and conveniently put you a package together rather than having to go order them individually.
Can any of you guys post links on where to get a great clutch set up...for decent $

how's it going fellas? Maybe someone here can help me out.
I have an 06 bansh, on the advice of a buddy, I went ahead and ported the cylinder intakes, got a cool head with 20cc domes,34mm keihin carbs with v-force 3 reeds. I am running bill's pipes.
does this set up raise any red flags to anyone as far as power gains/losses?
I am also having trouble getting the idle running tits. I'm guessing it is in the jetting.
Any one have any suggestions on what jets i should be running on a set up like this?
oops...just noticed that this is the wrong topic...sorry guys...maybe a mod can move it to the right topic
