  1. ive heard a lot of good things about that jeff dude.. i might see if he has any free stickers he wants to send me..

I was in a jam....I ordered pipes on Wensday.. he had them at my door on friday morning just in time to install them for a trip to glamis on saturday. Every one else was talking about weeks!!!

He didn't charge me extra for the fast shipping and kicked in some free stickers to boot.

    The guy is good!!!

  2. I ran her hard the other day with absolutely no problems with overheating at all. For a good 2 hours actually.

But i ran the oil/gas mix a little to rich for my liking so i decided I would run out the gas at home.

Left her in idle and would open up the throttle every now and then to speed up the process. Left her running in idle for about 20 mins.

    .

Next thing you know I got coolant shooting out of the overflow like crazy.

Has anyone ever had this problem with engine ice or does this sound like more of a problem with the bansh?

  3. Did they check your frame for a vin? Is it a mail in ticket or do you have to appear

Man... that's horseshit. I've gotten into with those fuckers before. I got peppersprayed and the whole nine yards. Spent new years eve in calexico county jail. :banghead:

That is why i find myself out at superstition more and more. 2 fuckin rangers for that whole area. you won't see a ranger all weekend...it's fuckin nice!!

glamis rangers...what a bunch of punks!

  4. I would ball park it and get it close to someone that has your mods and elev. Then do the fine tunning and chop.

    Here is a good thread:

    http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=99361

Looked thru all of it, but no one really runs pj's. or really has a similar set up.

I have a drag port, cool head with 20 cc domes,v force 3's, +4 timing, and some cpi inframes.

The carbs are 34mm pj's with 172 mains and cel needles on the 4rth clip. Screws turned 1.5 out.

Oh yeah....I do all of my riding out in superstition, glamis or gordon's well...I think that is sea level or 1 to 2 hundred feet above.

The reason why I ask is the throttle is crisp as fuck and scary responsive...which has me thinking I'm on the lean side and next thing you know....... KABOOM!!!!!!!

    Sound lean to you? ANYBODY?????

  5. Is it possible to get a decent reading on a rich/lean mixture just by putting in new plugs and letting the bike idle for a minute...maybe open up the throttle a few times in neutral...pull the plugs and check?

The reason why I ask is because the closest place for me to get wide open on the throttle is at least an hour away.

I would rather go out running rich and lean down from there then go out and open up that bitch running lean.

  6. I got my +4 plate in and everything seems fine....but dam i just don't wanted to check in with you guys before I tear the desert a new asshole this weekend.

The bike starts first kick and idles just like it did before install. I have not put her in gear and got WOT yet though. I left the stator cover off and started her and everything seems fine as far as spin and gap but is there anything that I should be looking for that give me a sign that I will fuck her up once shes running hard?

  7. I ran bill's pipes for a year. I would say they are a mid to top pipe.

That is what I sold chrome bill's for $240 but with free shipping. So i wouldn't say you are getting a killer deal.

I am not trying to talk you in or out of anything, just giving you the experience I had with them.

They are alot pricier but I think you would be a lot happier with paul turner's

I run cpi's now and would never go back to bill's.

  8. The gap between the raised notch and the node was alot bigger(stock) before I pulled the flywheel.

Got it off put in the new plate (+4 timing) Got it all back together.

But now the gap is way smaller. I can't even fit a business card in between. It is about as small as it can possibly get without rubbing.

Is this ok? or does it need to be adjusted?

If it needs to be adjusted...HOW DO I ADJUST IT??????

  9. Anywhere in the u.s. would be $15 for shipping and I'll let the rack go for $35.

I paid $75 plus shipping for it about 3 months ago from e-bay.

It's just not the look I'm going for.

If you noticed in the pic the mounts on the rack are for the older style banshee light where the holes on the mount are closer in.

I drilled a couple of holes on the bottom of the rack to fit the newer style light on it. This is actually BETTER!

because when you have a cooler or gas tank in the rack...it is hard to see the light. It is completely visible from where I have it mounted.. Fuck it ...I'll even throw in the brake light for 5 more bucks...it's from an 06 banshee....you just have to splice in your stock clips.

the back has some scratches from rubbing up against the draw bridge of a trailer. I'll post a pic. but you can't even see it.

  10. the way you kind of sit like leaning down and forward on it. after a while it gets uncomfortable. with the banshee, you sit more upgright, which is way more comfortable, and you can still lean down on the front, when hauling ass. to me, the way you sit on the shee is much more similar to the craptor 700 than the 450.

your right...my brother has a 2006 450 and I ride it sometimes...The fucking thing rides rough...beats you up.

I'll take the way a banshee rides over a 450 anyday!!!
