That sounds good. My bike is blue, so blue or blue would work. I'll pm you when I get home from work. Is the front one the kind that replaces the round one on the swing arm??

I'm down for a ride. I just finished my first Banshee build and am stoked to take it for my first Dune trip. We didn't have anything close to dunes where I'm from in Tennesse. Let me know????

I am just finishing my full rebuild and need to put the front hard brake lines back on. They have all those bends in them and was hoping that someone had a picture of how those go through the frame and pipes. Clymers has nothing. Thanks Guys

New rebuild- Need help getting to run
lambchop replied to lambchop's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Wouldn't I want to run it richer through the break-in phase though. 40:1 quit a bit richer isn't it? -
New rebuild- Need help getting to run
lambchop replied to lambchop's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
It's just a Toomey foam stock replacement. Figured it out though. Besides switching the slides. I held the Pilot jets up to the light. Could not see through them. Cleaned them out with a wire. Put it back together and this quad is ripping!!!!!. Gotta go easy on her for a bit though through the break-in. -
New rebuild- Need help getting to run
lambchop replied to lambchop's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Slides are right, bowls are right. Your right, I probably should go to 40:1 for break in. Once I get'r running I probably will mix to that. I'm thinking that I did something wrong when I set the float heights. I noticed a routine of when the bike sits for a while It will run for a couple seconds. The second I try to give it more than 1/8 throttle. It shuts off. Acts like it suffocates or something when I try to blip it. -
New rebuild- Need help getting to run
lambchop replied to lambchop's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
What sense would this make? I found that I did have the slides switched, but now that I corrected them I can't get it to start at all???? I was expecting it to run great and was excited. Now I'm really frustrated????? -
Finally put the motor back in the frame. It will start, but will not idle or stay running.Anyway, Here's what I have: 99' Banshee, new Mild Play porting,Tommey T5 pipes ans silencers, New 66.5 WSM pistons (know last bore size), new head rechamering and milled to 18cc, All new bottom and top end gaskets/seals, New TORS eliminator kit, Stock timing, stock airbox with lid on, Has a boost bottle but have ordered stock tube, stock carbs 300 main and 25 pilot, I moved the needle on clip leaner, Brand new plugs. 32:1 Yamalube premium pump gas with Klotz Nitro (planning on running 50:50 race/pump gas as sson as I find some). Choke tube is on and I have ordered a few sizes bigger on the Pilot jets in case I needed them. It will start fairly easy, but will not idle on it's own. Up to 1/4 throttle runs fairly good then starts lugging. Past 3/4 throttle cleans out and sounds great. The right side pipe gets real warm but the left stays cold. The left silencer seams to have alot of oily stuff coming out of it. I pull that plug and it doesn't even look wet. One thing I did notice and am replacing. The intake does have some "Boost Bottle" cracks. I gooped them up real good with silicon to seal while I am waiting for the replacements to arrive. Slides have been synced. Air screws at 1.5 out. Help Guys????? I really want to ride

Thanks all. Got'em on

I can't figure this damn thing out.
lambchop replied to lokisbuddy's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Have you pulled the fuel line from your petcock yet and checked to see how fast the fuel is coming out? If it's not pouring out your carbs are using the fuel faster than it can flow from your tank. Make sure your breather hose isn't clogged as well. It's usually something simple like that. I've had alot of bikes and never had to mess with the needles and bowls unless it sits for a long time with bad gas or your rebuilding the carbs -
See Prior Post. I accidentally replied to the wrong one

Hopefully soon I'll be riding everywhere I can. i got the Banshee about 2 months ago and as soon as I got it I took it down to the frame. I Moved here from TN about 6 months ago. Before I moved here I had a Bike I used to ride alot of Motocross and Woods riding. Whole different ballgame out here though. I have about 4 good hours of work to get the Banshee completed. I lost an A-arm bushing and had to order a new one. I can't wait to do my first Glamis trip. One of my riding buddies back East used to live in CA and talked about it all the time. Anyway that's the scoupe. Any local spots you know of would be appreciated as I have not rode any of them yet. Do you need a registrationsticker or spark arrestors to ride at any of these places> Thanks

Had a problem similar to this myself. Believe it or not traced it down to a stopped up petcok. Try bypassing the petcock that's how I traced it. The flow from the tank seemed very slow to me, almost to a drip when it was wide open. Cleaned it out real good and voila!!! -
Cool... Preesh for the help Although, there is alot to be said for just hanging out with someone else as obsessed as I am with Banshees and riding.

Well, I'm trying to button up the last few things on my first Banshee rebuild. Are there any Experienced Banshee Gurus in the East valley that had any extra time to critique my work. I'll buy the beer. Would like some hose/wire routing tips and help getting jetting right and such. Thanks
-
I have two of them bent opposite of each other. It would make sense that they support the radiator as It's one of the few things I don't have put back on yet
-
Awesome thanks!!

Sorry, I need to start checking my picture sizes before I try to attach
