  1. It is almost pointless to do a stroker kit w/o porting your cylinders...... when the pistons are travling further up & down u need to open the ports & let the motor breath more to unleash the power... more fuel & air ='s more HP and u also need to port match the upper case to the ported cylinders Just my thoughts
  2. It worked....... I pulled the carb off checked the needle position (CEL 2nd from bottom) and took the float bowl off blew everything out and reinstalled and no more gas puken outta that carb. musta been some crap stuck in there..... Thanx
  3. OK, well I just did my 2nd heat cycle, im going to pull the carb & check the float and for gunk.....
  4. So I just finished rebuilding my motor and added lots of goodies.... 1 of which is brand new 35mm Keihin Carbs. I was very happy when is started the Shee started on the 3 kick  but as i was doing its first heat cycle I noticed that when i let off the throttle it would spit gas outta 1 of the vent tubes. (didnt think to much of it at the moment until I came back to the bike 10 mins later and there was a puddle of gas under the bike) Any ideas of why this is happenin?........
  5. I believe they are 22's w/8 paddles
  6. So I just got the final pieces of my motor back, and it ocured to me that with all the added HP I should probally regear it...... but to what is the million dollar question?...... Sooo let me tell you what I did or what it has now 4 Mill long rod stroker kit Dune porting W/case matching for the stroker kit (done by RedLine Racing) 35mm Keihin carbs V-Force 3 Reeds Cool Head Timing plate +6 110vp Fuel Modded shift star Vito's HD clutch T-5's +6 swingarm stock suspension...... right I know, but that shit is expensive It has stock gearing (sprockets) now. It well only be in the sand on the OR coast line and Cali, and be used for riding the beach, playing in the dunes and draging @ night  Any help would be great
  7. The rings need to seat.... it should get better after you run it. Id put an hr on the motor and recheck it, if it dosen't get any better then MAYBE u have a problem
  8. Thats a pretty awesome set up. As well as very informative. Although notice they put no price on that page, its gotta be serious money for that set up

  11. So im reading my service manuals "coolant replacement" and it says to use "High Quality Ethylene Glycol Anti-Freeze Containing Anti-Corrosion for Aluminum Engine Inhibitors" So other than going to my local RAPEaha Dealer what do you use

  15. oh yeah I forgot about the reeds...... V force Reeds
  16. you'll know when you see my tail light....... LOL JK Yep the 4 Mill Kit W/HD bearing, Dune Poring, timing plate, 35mm Carbs and cool head not sure on the domes yet but ill keep u posted
  17. I wasent planning on sending him the lower case but I guess it wouldn't be a bad idea to send it to him as well.......... as the plot thickens
  18. So I tore the motor apart this weekend and am about to send it out to Red Line Racing to have cylinders ported and case mached. I brought them to work with me this morning ( I manage an Auto repair shop) when one of my mechanics looked at the lower case and was like "dude their gonna have to machine that out and put over sized bearings in there" I told him the bearings that go in there arn't like a crankshaft bearing in a car. The markings that u can see arn't rough feeling, if u run your fingernail over it, u can barely feel it. I just would like someone with a little more experance with these types of engines to say hey dont worry about that or yes I need to buy new cases........ I thank any and all of you for your help
  19. So im in the possess of rebuilding the engine I am installing a 4 mill stroker kit, going with an aggressive dune porting, cool head and have Toomy's T-5 pipes. I well almost always be in the sand on the OR coast line (the occasional rip around the streets of the neighborhood) I seen allot of guys running the 34 or 35mm PWK's (and are these the same thing as Kehhin, or are there just different series as in dunning or dragging type of carbs) I appreciate any and all advise you might have to offer, as this is some what new to me
  20. I want something that I can ride during the day but for sure in the evening I...... O how do I say it "I wanna go fast" P.S. very nice ride
  21. So I live in Seattle area and usually ride the OR coast line. Once in a while Eastern Washington (Moses Lake, WA) but nothing over 1000ft. I have herd that I do need to port the motor..... how mild to wild should I go ?
  22. So I have a 2002 Banshee that sucked in a bit of sand..... So I figured what a perfect time to tear the whole thing apart and rebuild it from the ground up. I have finished the frame and now its a complete rolling chassis. Now to the fun part, the motor. Now obviously I want to be the fastest guy out there and relibal at the same time. What im thinking is the Hot Rods 4 mill stroker kit, 35mm carbs (don't know what brand would be the best idea) Cool head (wondering what sized domes to run), I have a set of Toomy 5's , kinda want to run the CPI in frames but they r kinda spendy. Id rather put the $$$$ in the motor. Any advise is much appreciated.
