Did you check if both plugs are indeed sparking?

I've got the 200 from Ricky Stator, even though my lights are stock it made a huge difference. JUST DON'T USE A RICKY STATOR FLYWHEEL WHAT EVER YOU DO!!!
-
Use a real Yamaha flywheel, It cost me plenty of cash to learn that lesson first hand. I've got a couple of Ricky Stator flywheels sitting on my shelf of destruction. Hell one of them still has the end of a stroker crank in it, because it broke the entire end off the crank!

BIGGEST cc? for riding not drag only?

Maybe you couldn't ride a 150hp... My question was regarding the longevity of one of these big cc engines, clearly you don't know either. I was looking for an answer from someone that has experience with one of these packages. Not some feeble minded drivel from some fuck who just had to put in his two cents. thanks though. you may now continue to polish your forehead in hopes that maybe one day you will have a clue as to when to keep your fucking mouth shut. -

I hear ya about the locktight, I don't ride trails at all with mine. It's more of a logging road drift machine. 421 cub with all the goodies and added one tooth to the drive sprocket. I liken it to riding a rally car. (stock wheelbase) On old school 3ply turf tamers LOL (lots a knobbies, little weight) -

I keep reading about all you guys building the Serval cylinders. What is the difference between these and the cheetah cubs? I know the cubs are a based off the banshee cylinders (I ride a built 421 cub on VP c-114 leaded). I know the DM/DMX are a different intake (CR250?). CP Industries doesn't list the Serval cylinders online, they only list the Wampus. What is that one all about? When I started this post I was keen to hear if any one was riding a Mattoon/Scimitar or similar +1000cc twin. I can only imagine what one of these monsters is like... But I know that these are giant race engines, and if you had a car that ran 5's in the quarter your not going to use it to go buy milk LOL!. Financially one of these giants isn't out of reach for me, I just wouldn't want to invest in one if they can't be built to ride reliably. Anyone know if they will last? -
I'm curious as to how big of motors some guys are riding, I know drag guys are huge cc & multi cylinder etc. I'm talking about huge twin cylinders for general riding, how big of motors are guys finding reliable. I know some ones thinking cost etc, billet cases and all the $ associated with these kinds of setups. I'm fine with the cost to build & operate something huge x large. Just so long as its reliable, Rideable is up to the individual.

I bought a CR-250 out of Washington before, so long as it comes with papers it's not an issue. As it's an off road use only machine.
-
Well thats pretty reasonable for the value, I'm in Vancouver BC, I'd be willing to travel to Washington, possibly Oregon... So if any one has the clean straight chassis I'm seeking,it must have papers...

Hello all, I'm looking for a replacement frame for my 96, the frame must be in perfect condition,no hits or dents, bent tabs etc. a few scratches and normal paint wear is no big deal. As i've been out of the loop for the last 2.5 years, could you all share with me what you feel a frame is worth. Thanks

I've got a 421 cub that's had the ports cleaned up (internally,no mods to the port windows) and the cases have been opened up to match the cylinder. I'm curious if anyone has had the pistons intake ports widened to match the width of the cylinder intake port windows? (pro-lites) Would it be a worth while mod the next time it's apart?

Casade as been nothing but 1st class for me, I've built a 421 cub with 99% of my parts from them, awesome service!!
-
I would also split the cases, It will give you the opportunity to put in new seals throughout the cases, water pump etc... and you will be able to check the clutch wear and shifter adjustments. Make sure to use the proper flywheel puller!

Sounds like you may have damaged threads? I've had to replace a stroker crank, flywheel x2, stator and pickup assembly. All from a shit snowball effect starting from the flywheel free wheeling from the crank. It is cheap insurance to have a pro take a look at it for sure!

I bought a Hinson / straight cut clutch, but had fitment issues. It seems the basket was a few thou to thick. I could only get the main nut hand tight, then it wouldn't turn freely. I bought it from cascade innovations, They said some baskets that they have seen have needed a couple thou trimmed. They got it taken care of for free and it works great! Plus you can hear that straight cut gear spinning which sounds pretty cool.

I know what you mean for the surface texture, and yes it was running great. Until I broke the crank! Quick word of advise to anyone reading this, DO NOT USE AN OFFSET FLY WHEEL KEY!!!!!! I've replaced the following because I tried to save a few dollars: strokercrank, flywheel, stator, plus the down time! I'll post pictures of the carnage later tonight.

2-3 hp, OK. When I split the cases, it's getting some love. I'll have no problem, matching the cases to the transfer ports, but how deep did you blend the case? Any pictures of your handy work?

39mm alky carbs to big for 4mil?
screamingcub replied to ryansedy's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I don't have any experience running alcohol, but 39mm carbs sound kinda big for stock cylinders and T-5's. I've got a 421 cub on race gas, and 35's are working great. -
Can anybody tell me from experience? What is the power gain associated with matching the cases to the bottom of the transfer ports,on a set of cub cylinders? What rpm range is most affected? What is the HP gain? Torque gain? For consideration my setup is:421 cub, 35mm PWK's with K+N's, UPP Intakes, V3 Reeds, 19cc domes (110 octane), CPI SB inframes
