  1. Why doesn't Yamaha do a total remake of the banshee? Certainly there would be a market for them? I am sure they could make the 2 stroke engine a lot more efficient and put some technology in it. Imagine a brand new high tech 2 stroke 350 banshee with a full race set up (YZF350R). It would damn sure shut the gates on all the 450s...
  2. must be in good condition
  3. the LTR450 is quick. I have ridden it. It was beaten by another banshee with reeds, exhaust and filter (non paddle tyres). I want to really wake this thing up with pipes, reeds and maybe a port and polish? Anyways thanks.
  4. Having a couple of runs with these bikes on sand. I have already raced the LTR450 and was beaten by about 15 -20m over long distance (all the beating was done in the first 50m). The ltr had pipes, computer and smaller pipes. I raced on standard banshee tyres in loose sand - LTR had wide good quality aftermarket tyres (not paddles). I just got paddles on the banshee and airfilter, and now a mate got a yzf450. We are all racing on the sand this weekend. How do you think it will end up? Banshee - filter + Paddles LTR450 - exhaust, computer, small sprocket YFZ 450 - stock. Also, should I be starting in second gear on the banshee in sand with paddles? I found that i was starting in first before and it would just spin and go no where until i hit second... Lastly, i put my airfilter in today but i kept the box lid on their because Im not sure how to rejet..? is it easy? anyone know where i could find a decent set of instructions? All new to ATV's.
  5. I went to price some tyres today. And the shop assistent told me that my banshee would not have enough power to use paddles because it is stock. - I'm calling bullshit and i correct?
  6. does it make you lose power? Does it sound OK?
  7. Whats wrong with the standard banshee exhaust? Is it because they have bafflers in them? If so, is it possible to take them out and what would the likely outcome be?
  8. Just undecided if i should get paddles or a good set of tyres that work great on the sand but are not paddles. I have a new banshee and km's of sand to go riding but at the moment all i seem to be doing is spinning everywhere. Not to mention getting my ass handed to me by my mates LTR-450. Paddles or not?
