Do the flatsides take a special throttle cable? The few I have lying around would give me half throttle idle.

Yeh the one with the 250 motor has messed up the mounts and all. Not worth the hassle trying to put it back. The one from Concord wont return emails and the other in NC thats hurt wont return phone calls.

I have a set of Lectron 40mm Alky Carbs with K&T Billet Bowls and UPP Intakes. I just spent $96 on parts from Packard to make sure these would be fresh but I am going back GAS and wont have a need for these. Two 40mm Lectron Carbs K&T Billet Bowls Throttle Cable UPP Intakes 4 New Floats 2 New Alky Gravity Feed Needles 2 New Need Seats These were setup by PACKARD and have the PE-1 Needles. I was going to take these apart, clean, and freshen since they came with a drag bike I bought and have been sitting. $600 Shipped for it all. Will Trade for a stock rolling chassis Banshee as well.

Sounds like trash in the carb or fuel blockage to me. Hard starting is usually a lack of fuel. I would also turn those screws out 1.5 to 2 turns.
