I mean yea stock brakes are good for every type of racing right?, I mean who upgrades brakes that just sounds like a waste. My guess would be formula 1 cars and stuff use factory brakes too.

    Good bike to start off with.Not sure how well the paint will hold lol, wouldnt have been too much more work to strip the rest of the stuff off before painting. at least with rattle can its easy to touch up as you go. 0000 Steel wool also helps cleaning chrome up along with the wet foil. Like already said, just keep reading on here and youll figure shit out, along with asking things on here as you progress through shit.

The brakes are 1987 designed brakes and were nowhere near designed for track in mind in the first place. Then if you have to bring up why go banshee vs 450 to be competitive, i ask why the fuck you ride at all and own a banshee to begin with if you cant figure out and answer that question for yourself. I vote just make a jake brake for the banshee to save weight all together.

    Banshee brakes work fine with everything, except MX. lol 1987 brakes has their limits and it comes to a halt with MX riding.

    Might be able to find a few people in here with close to that setup http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?/topic/99361-what-jets-are-you-using-fill-out-this-form/, im not really familiar with those carbs too much, more of a keihin guy. +5 timing your high altitude and 97 octane is a pretty rare combination compared to most setups also. I would say main somewhere 280-300ish and pilot should be around 30. Dont hold me to that too much, im sure someone else on here might get you a closer idea. But definitely best to start rich rather then lean and work your way down.

    Sell those pipes and get drag pipes, Better reeds/ vf4 or alike,carbs 35pwks or something similar depending on what you are doing, +4 timing, bigger radiator, mull waterpump impeller. Being .080 over on the jugs i wouldnt put money into them they are on their last safe leg, otherwise you could get them drag ported, might wanna start saving money for a stroker setup if you have most bolt ons already done.

    3/4" bolt, 1 1/8" head. Double nut or weld an 11/16 socket to the thread end of bolt.

    I dont work with it all the time, most shit im around uses Jet a or similar. I said both TEL and lead because most dont know what TEL is. If i say channel locks and tongue and groove am i talking about two different things?
