I built my bike for sand not dirt and if you think we only ride on sunny days you got another thing coming .But dont get me wrong iam not saying my set up will work for you or anybody else if you ride in mud your not going to run paddles and if you ride in sand you dont run dirt tire so whatever or whever you ride you set your bike for those conditions. And i ride my bikes hard and keep them in good condition these are not cheap toys thanks
-
you need to get you eyes checked i have been in cascades store there large cc bike do not have single carb set ups i took the liberty of posting one of there bikes for sale . http://67.199.65.66/cascade_innovations/ne...ore_dept_id=604
-
I completely agree with you build the bike for what you ride .and my setup works great .
-
What come on you know as well as other stock has it limitations .
-
Yeah that makes more sense at first thought you were talkin 80hp with stock crank .I guess i just push stock parts to there limits.
-
dont get me wrong you would do great on that bike out here and your wright there are more than us two i know of of least few other asses out here .Do i think 80 hp can be done sure if you dont like reliable i have had heavily modified stock cylinders heavy race port and plenty of tig welding resleeved ran 72.5 pistons and cut t3s old school yes reliable no but was the only way to go and i assume you mean with 4 mil crank good luck ps on your way out stop at st anthonys in idaho worth it for sure
-
yeah its weird shit the funny things is you dont see the pv setups out here at all.I am just power junky that decided i would go a different way and it works this is my third 460 motor just found it to be a power monster and reliable
-
Not the way i wanted to go with the bike dont care for the pv and as far as save money not really it is all expensive my power band is great and yes i see your point and on one hand thats what i built but put it together the way i like it .This trend is catching on out here everyday i know it seems backwards but it works and if i want i can throw out of frames and get all the top end and the motor is a twister small mono block with 4 mil 72.5 pistons .It works really well these pipes provide bottom end i just cant find with any other setup now understand we are riding at sea leve in really soft sand
-
what bore and hell yes teduned if that is what you want call it way better than stock
-
I dont know if you are asking me these question now i did jump in but is that the idea behind a forum and as far as trashing i dont see that only strong opinions on both side .First of all the reason i would build a motor like and yes i built this motor is for the hp not the top end sand robs hp and if i build 400 420 and run paul turners still a fast bike but not as much power as i would like so i built a 460 and put some low end on a bike that from the factory that has to much top end already. So this set up makes really good all around power i know this sounds weird but it works really well and it is reliable i know the old school thought is to put a set of big pipes on the bike and haul ass fun yes but out here if you like riding in the sand you have to deal with trees and narrow trails .Dont look at it as detuning the bike as much as placing power where i want it and in my situation bottom end grunt is helpful.I guess the best way to describe it is would you like to drive a top fuel dragster all day or if you could or drive ferrari that has more than enough power and can carve the canyon and drive all day.Trust me works very well
-
Well i dont know where they ride out in michigan but i guarantee you riding in the sand is know where as big as it is here
-
very well written just because people post umpteen thousand post on here they must be correct .The 80 hp out of stock ha ha ha.The truth is we have a huge pool of individuals here in the nw in are back yard to draw knowledge from.props to charlie brown
-
I see where you are coming from and if all you want to do is go in a straight line you are correct get some out of frame drag pipes and got to town. But if you like to a little carvin and some trail i dont see the problem with detuning a bike to get the power where you want it .Cascade bikes are fast dont doubt that
-
Not on straight drag bike on duneable bike this is great and works good in the woods ..If you stop and think about it this is what the factory did with a stock banshee detune it to make it a more user friendly and thats all people are doing is placing some of the powerband where they want it to make it a more duneable bike .Not to mentiuon i get off the line faster than alot of people do running cpi pipes .But hey to each his own i personally have been down the road big bore cpi pipes and did not like the way it worked now that is not to say i wont run drag pipes again on mky bike they just wont be cpi
-
Before you go crazy why dont you check out cascades website most if not all the bikes run paul turners so if there such a bad idea why do they do it and yes they are on cub motors twister setups.I run my paul turners for the bottom end that cpi pipes can not provide so i can get the hole shot bottom end grunt we here in oregon race up the bowl not on the flats and the sand can be real loose i dont want to just spin my wheels down in a deep tree shot . so if i have to give a little on top to get some on the bottom so be it . This method is common out here makes for a much better duneable bike might not be the quickest in a straight line will hand most people there ass most of the time .SO IF YOU NEVER HAVE TRIED IT DONT KNOCK IT
-
Now how would anybody know what is going to suit the cub motor if you dont know the size of the motor riding style .They all are guesses at best personally the question is open ended there needs to be more info .
-
Hell yes brother if people think that the cub is for drag racing only. What do they think of my twister setup is for getting into outerspace AND YES I RIDE THE TREESHOTS AND TRAIL RIDING ON THIS BEAST AND HAND SOME PEOPLE THERE ASS
-
I agree with you 100% i would never think cubs are for drag racing only give me a break

I dont know if this will help but check out a arm components on this website http://jjandaracing.com/ goodluck -
He never said what the size of the motor is and what he rides in sand ,dirt, trail ?? I dont think with a small bore cub setup you would see a big change if you are running small bore drag pipes or t5s .Now if you running big bore setup with large bore cpis you will see a huge difference .Just depends on what you want out of your bike.I have had cpi big bore pipes the worst pipes leak oil chrome is crap just all around bad pipes. My paul turners are awesome made well make for all around smooth riding bike and yes i do loose about ten hp but i will give up the hp to have a good all around duneable bike that hauls ass

Try por-15 works great used on alot of old cars turns black dont have to do anything after you paint it on you can leave it black like a paint and never touch again good luck
-
Great top end pipes .But they are made poorly chrome plating sucks small pin hole in the welds all in all just a poorly made pipe save your money and buy some t5s
-
HELL YEAH WHERE DO I SIGN UP
-
Thats kinda what i thought to just kinda crappy.I wonder how many bidders bid on this banshee and dont know they dont win if they are the high bidder .Can you even do this kinda auction on ebay
