  1. yea we had the bike running then replaced the reeds and it ran a lot worse.

  5. just the bike running. about the only thing it will do is idle. when i try to rev it up it bogs down and wont rev at all?? ive took the carbs apart numerous times and cleaned them. i have no clue whats causing it. any help would be greatly appriciated.
  6. the domes say 17 on the side. i havent cc'd em. but i had the jugs re-honed and put it back together and made 100 percent sure the rings were corect. i did a compression check and about 165 on each side. im pretty sure both rings weren't seated properly? kinda weird but its the only thing that makes sense. thanks for all the help!!
  7. take them to a hardware store and try to match them up.
  8. just call up fast racing or herr jugs racing or wildcard racing and tell em what you want. and they should give you a price quote.
  9. just try it. if you mess it up stock swingers are pretty cheap. thats just my two cents. lol
  10. luckily i didnt see any damage to the pistons!!
  11. its a stock stroke long rod crank. it has the 513 pistons in it. i think i found the problem. the ring didnt seat properly and l left a gouge right next the exhuast. but that was only one cylinder? so i still dont know why it would be the same in both cylinders? im just using the orings. how do you check the cc's?
  12. damn. i told my dad it needed race fuel. well ill tear into it tomorrow and see how much damage or how little was done. ha
  13. fuck. ha. with that short amount of time would it cause it to read that low? and do that much damage?
  14. i had 93. and it only has about 20 minutes at the most on it. im using maxima castor 972
  15. yea they had them. but tey still could have done a shity job. i didnt think about it. but it does make sense. :wallbash:
  16. yea it still has me stumped?? ha. the pakage the rings came in said there was a top or bottom. another thing im thinking is if the domes were marked wrong. but even if they were a bigger cc the comression should still more than 135?
  17. the rings were lined up. maybe they could've moved when i put them in the jugs? they are facing the right way. i dont remember but the gap was within the tolerances of the little book that came with the pistons.
  18. my dad and i put it together.
  19. i just did the squish test and it the solder measured .055in
  20. had it bored and put brand new pro-lites in it.
  21. it will be tomorrow before i get a chance to do this. i will let you know when done. what does the squish measure?
  22. could a leaking gasket cause that much of a drop in psi?
  23. im leaving thursday atfer i eat a big ass dinner :biggrin:
