  4. does anybody know the portimings for a serval cub I know they are lower than the regular cheeta cub but how much lower
  5. have any body tried the exhaust wide to 80% of the bored it is posible even with the best chamber you can do. I got a set of cylinders lying around that never got to install because who ever did them made the cylinders exhaust that wide got them in a trade for some parts. I am willing to try them on my banshee just for the hell of it but not sure do not want it to breake and ruined mi crank. The bore is 65.25 the exhaust mesures 52.00 mm that the 80% of the bore

  7. yup thats true i live in pr and over here we run small ratios. You would never see a banshee over here with 13 in front we ride with 15 or 16 here. My banshee i have 16-42 or 16-41 is fast as hell with my fat ass 300 pounds and with a diy port job i did 194 exhaust with 124 transfers t-5 . Its a 350 o yeah are favorite combination is 15-40 or 15-39(38). Have no times havenot taken it to the drag stripe yet maybe soon we race in the street or open fields dirt tracks no times man to man.
  8. ok here it goes Im aking these question for a friend. He has a twisster motor 78mm bore not sure of crank I think is 16mm the problem is it broke a reed a vforce and we cant fiind or get in comunication were he bought the motor. He wants to know were he can find the vforce its imposible over here in puerto rico to find we have no clue and the worse part we cant get now body from twister we call and no answer. We have a match with a snowmobile motor bought with out the reeds we cant race need help asap thank if anybody can help please.

  10. What is the diference in using diferent sprocket numbers with the same ratio. Right now I'm using 15-41 but would like to try 16-43 is almost the ratio but bigger sprocket would there be any diference in motor output. I heard that it will put more stress on the motor . Please opinions please
  11. yes checked fot leaks everything is ok. I have 30 pilots and orings are new elevation is like 100 feet above sea level. I did take the wireing harness out took it apart clean it re taped it. Tomorrow going to buy new sparkplug cable and caps just to be safe ,oh and temp is 80 degrees I live in Puerto Rico great weather all year round.
  12. here is goes i had my cylinders ported by a local builder two years ago,but after reading for a while i tried it my self. I did a little more to them they were almost stock now they have a little more agressive timings. The problem is that I think is detonate problems ,but went up on pilots got a great idle and went up on the mains to. Here is my set up stock carbs taper bored 27.5mm with T5 ,prodesign kit full airbox with lid modded,ada coolhead 19cc domes 155 psi,4 degree timing advance. my current durations are 194 exhaust degree with 124 transfer duration boost port added intake was smooth out for better flow and exhaust was polish to a shine finish. The problem is the it idles perfect, revs perfect but as soon as you ride it if you cruise on it no problems. When you pin the trottle it acts like is detonating but you look at the plugs and they look fine brown chocolate color . I have gone from 290 before porting to 320 and it keeps doing it I am leaning towards a electric problem because I have pin it out of anger to see if it blows and it just keeps going like nothing and plugs look fine. Maybe something electrical need some opinions it does it when you put load on it as you pin the trottle please some opinions.
  13. Okay here it goes if how do tell when your ports are open with a degree wheel this is what I came up with. When the piston starts to uncover the exhaust port I get 188 duration or when I do it the other way when I don't see light trough the port it gives me 190 duration which one is the correct way. O by the way top of piston crown transfer are 120 duration is those duration a all around port
  14. The reason I ask because I live in pr and most of all of my friends ported banshee don't have the transfer touch. I want to know those it gets better when you raised them a little. Want to know the benefits of raising them alittle would like to do it to my banshee I already have the exhaust raised 1mm. Can somebody chip in please
  15. what are the benefits of raising the transfers ports at least 1mm .How those it affect the powerband those it comes sooner or later.
  16. can some body turn this numbers into degrees .I know is more to portimg but just want to find some type of info. From top of deck to top of exhaust 27.50mm and from top of deck to top of tranfers ports 42mm. can somebody tell me what the durations are in degrees and what type of porting they think it is got cylinders cheap from a friend. willing to try them out if ia a good timing duratrions right now dont have a degree wheel need help . Thanks in advance if anybody can help me i wuold really apriciated

Are those numbers good for a port job what kind of port job is that with those numbers.Is it bad or good to have the transfers with diferent duration each.I want to know because I bought this cylinders of ebay for a great price. I got my bike running with stock port cylinders just want to know if is worth swapping cylinders.
  18. sorry cuold not find old topic I strated, here it goes from top of deck to top of ports,primary transfer port measures 43mm,secondary port measure 42mm,and exhaust port measure 29mm. I know the best way to find out what type of porting you have is with a degree wheel, somebody here has to know aleast something with these numbers please if you know let me know too thanks in advance will apreciate you help

  20. How much can you grind out of the transfer tunels,if you have 65.25 bore. What i have read thats the part were banshees are choke, cylinders already have a mild port done ,but transfers were not touch that much. I have read that the more bore you have the more you can grind out.
  21. ok this is the question,I bought cylinders of ebay they were on a stock stroke but ported. I want to know if any one has stock mesurement of the ports. Want to know how much was cutt off the ports. Right now I dont have a degree wheel just a digital caliper. I want to know the original sizes of the ports from the top of the deck to the top of all the ports and to the bottom. Please if any knows I would really apriciate your help asap. thank you in advance

  23. heres my setup,t5 prodesign foam filter,160psi,4 timing stock airbox with slotted lid 25[pilot]280[main]. Heres my problem banshee was fine until today, took it for ride and the left pipe felt alittle hotter than the right.Check everything took carbs apart clean them out it idles fine, revs fine all through the power band.Sprayed everything with carb cleaner no change in nothing but you can still feel one pipe hotter than the other.Carbs are sync the bike feel great is just the difference in temp on the pipes, doesn't feel like it has a air leak everything looks good need help before going to beach on sunday.
