  1. You might be able to make it with just the shift shaft. Which wouldn't require a tear down. The value of what i post is what you pay for it. I don't always do things correctly and this was a long time ago before knowledge was easily shared. If you are in a hurry and trying to do this in a couple hours mind the circle clips and keep the flat side out. Don't ask but same goes for replacing lock tabs. If you are going to buy a manual i'd get the factory or a pdf of it. Be sure to get to the parts girls bottom end though ,sounds like a score. Good luck
  2. I'm not a pro but did solve this problem on mine. It's been over a decade so i don't remember the details but i ended up just buying a new shift shaft and forks. It's shifted fine since but might have been a cheaper solution.
  3. If you have a hose shop near by see if they carry silicone hose. Mcmaster carr may have some if not but will be pricier. The only issue is it's 1"id instead of 7/8" but works fine. The stuff i have is federal hose heater hose #5526-10??something and was only a couple bucks a foot.
  4. Lots of reading and a good understanding of what your doing and it's possible. I've known a few people that have been successful doing their own porting but if you have to ask then you don't need to be doing it. There's alot more involved than just make this hole and that hole bigger. Save some coin and grief and send them to someone who has a good reputation. Air dremmels work nice also. Hate to highjack but anyone put or seen boost ports in stock banshee jugs? Think that's the term for them but if not i'm talking about holes that run from the intake to the transfer ports on each side.
  5. I think i still have mine laying around. pm me if you haven't found any and we'll see if we can work something out.
  6. they did.if i remember right they were hand made(sectioned) pipes lol you edited it. that should answer the pipe question.
  7. Don't forget to check with dhl. They have saved me a bunch of money shipping heavy and oversized items.
  8. No love for the 2.5 at all. I could see if you just wanted to bash the ax5 but sheesh. i've pulled a many out of spots with a 4 banger and have towed a 3500lb boat. That wasn't safe and wouldn't do it for much distance but it did it and up some big hills....going down was tricky Had 3 heeps all with 4 bangers and still have one scrambler(i hate myself for selling) yj with fg body yj
  9. that sounds high. i checked a couple years ago and it was around 175 a year. don't remember who it was through but had decent coverage and i was sr22 at the time. Guess i should add i had 2 other vehicles through the same agency at the time.
  10. Lol didn't someone make a song about the craptor? somthing like.. craptor craptor it's the quad theat cheats to go faster craptor craptor
  11. Is this street use or rural road use? check to see if it's for the whole state or on the county level? Bmv is as useful as getting financial advice from a burger flipper if utah is anything like indiana. May want to check up with some local riding groups or shops.
  12. Might aswell since you have street tires. Oh ya, cancel the poll thing. bastages took it down when the pro votes went higher than the no votes.
  13. A poll is up now. If you would ,take some time to vote yes. The link is on the bottom right of the page. LINK
  14. I wouldn't think so. Is it sticking open or shut? If your getting fuel drip then the needle could be worn or floats are out of adjustment. Mine leak sometimes so i just got in the habit of turning the fuel valve off. 32:1 is 4oz a gallon
  15. Actually jackson county does. You just have to register them which cost like 10 bucks and put some #'s on the bike like a boat has. oh ya, what do you guys mean when you say "cub" motors?
