  1. I was coming into a turn, and some how, my front left tire grabbed and flipped me over forwards at an angle. Broke the rim it dug so hard. I went back to where I wiped out to see if I missed something, but can't find anything that would have caused this.
  2. Well, I spent most of the weekend fixing my 'shee back up. I have everything straightened out, and some new parts on order. Hoefully by this weekend I;ll have it back to normal. I'm gonna try with the 25 Pilot jets and work on the fine tuning to see if I can get the low end power back. If I can't, I may try the 27.5 Pilot jets. Thanks, Anthony
  3. My Banshee is a 2002 with FMF Fatty exhaust, Core2 silencers, 300 main jets, 25 pilot jet, K&N filter and a K&N PowerLid. Elevation is 430ft. (Dallas, TX) Once I'm up in the RPMs, it screams, but it's really tough to get going at all with the amount of bogging...

  5. I moved this question to the Jetting/Exhaust section.
  6. My Banshee is a 2002 with FMF Fatty exhaust, Core2 silencers, 300 main jets, 25 pilot jet, K&N filter and a K&N PowerLid. There is no low end power at all. I left the stock 25 pilot jets in to see how it ran, will going to 27.5 help this out, or is it just some fine tuning to the pilot jet air/fuel mixture screw that is needed? Thanks
  7. 300 Mains with stock 25 pilot jets... Will this work? Seems to have no low end, and is hard to keep running. Will going to 27.5 on the pilot jets help remedy this? Anthony
  8. And here's where the exhaust was on me when I rolled it...
  9. Well, I put 300 mains in, and it absolutely screams! Low end is shot to hell though. I left the stock 25 pilot jets, will going to 27.5 help that out, or is it just some fine tuning to the pilot jet air/fuel mixture screw that is needed? Also, on the first test ride after the new jets, I ate it hard. Rolled it coming out of a turn, bent the rear part of the frame where the silencers are bolted on to, bent the front left wheel, broke the clutch lever clean off, and the front brake lever is almost in a "U" shape. When I got home from the test ride/crash, my wife said "OH SH*T", I asked what, and she said the back of my shorts had blood coming through them. Pulled the shorts off to assess the damage, and I have a hole the size of a quarter around and deep on my right lower thigh.
  10. yes that is the correct screw...
  11. Cool, thanks for all of the information guys... I'm gonna start withh 300 mains this weekend and see how it goes. I'm not familiar with Plug chopping, could someone give me a bit of knowledge as to what I need to do it and how it basically works? Again, thanks for all of the information Anthony
  12. It's a small flat-head set screw, and yes, it's on the left side, kind of towwards the back of the carb. And also yes, do it to both carbs. I don't have any pics handy, but maybe someone here does, dunno. Good luck... Anthony
  13. adjust your air/fuel mixture screw, also known as the pilot jet adjustment. My buddy's 'shee had the same exact issue, to the T... Screw it down to the bottom, but not tight, just enough to know your at the bottom, then start with 1.5 turns out. Good luck...
  14. Eleveation is 430ft. (Dallas, TX). I check the plugs pretty regularly and it doen't seem to appear to be running lean. What jet size would you recommend for the setup I have? 300 mains and 27.5 pilot, would that make better use of the VForce reed system?
  15. Cool, thanks for the information. I've decided to replace the stock cage with something that flows a bit more. Any thoughts on the SRP Ram Air Reed Cage? In comparison to the SRP and the VForce, am I splitting hairs in trying to decide? The SRP cage and reeds are a lot less expensive, but if the V-Force-3 are that much better, I have no problem spending a bit more for a better product. I do a lot of trail riding, but not trails like a utility quad would be on. There's a lot of straight shots that I'd love to have that throttle response to get the hole-shot, and to really pull out of corners hard. Thanks again. Anthony
  16. Hello All, My Banshee is a 2002 with FMF Fatty exhaust, Core2 silencers, 260 main jets, 25 pilot jet, K&N filter and a K&N PowerLid. The bike runs awesome but was thinking about some new reeds. Want that added throttle response. In the past, I only rode bikes, and used Boysen reeds in them. They seemed to work fine, but my question is, has anyone used the VForce 3 reed system? Is it better than just replacing the reeds and using the stock reed cage, or go with the VForce 3 reed system? Thanks, Anthony
  17. Hello all, I have just finished putting a full FMF Fatty exhaust system, K&N filter and the K&N Power Lid on my buddy's '03 Banshee... It has 220 Main jets and the pilot jet is stock, and the air/fuel mixture screw is 1 1/2 turns out. It runs pretty good, but is bogging in the lower end...and high end doesn't seem as strong. Mid-range is ok, but seems like it should be pulling harder all the way around. With this current setup, what size main jets and pilot jet do you guys run? Any help is much appreciated, Anthony
  18. What air-intake system do you guys prefer? K&N, ProDesign, etc? Thanks guys
  19. I'd like to get some opinions on experiences with some setups if ya'll don't mind. My buddy is looking at the ITP Holeshots and the Maxxis Razr II tires for his quad. We mostly ride trails, has anyone had any good/bad experiences with either of these tires? Also, air intake, which system do you guys like the best? Thanks, Anthony
  20. Thanks for the info. And no, the pictured Banshee is mine and not stock, I'm working on a buddy's Banshee. When we bought his quad, we were told time and time again that nothing had been done to it. And later after some calls to him, he said he put bigger jets in it, and that was it. I thought the main jets were mostly for mid to high end, and the pilot jet handles the idle to low end. I'm gonna go through the carbs tonight and check everything. But will start with the plugs as mentioned. Thanks again
  21. Hello all, I'm new to the forum and want to start with saying you guys have some really good info here. My question is this: I'm working on a 2003 Banshee, the Limited Edition, and it has 220 main jets. That's the only thing that's been done to it, everything else is stock. When you start off, it bogs badly. When you pull the clutch back in, you have to be really high in the motor to get it to start, but once going, it seems to run fine. It also kicks back on itself at WOT, but this I'm guessing this to be the jets causing the high-end issues. I've disconnected the TORS, and it didn't help... The filter looks a bit dirty, but nothing abnormal, or saturated with gunk. Any help is much appreciated Thanks, Anthony
