Does anyone know which type of chain i might have?

 

Apparently the different chains need their specific master links because of the size their shaft size.

(something like a fat pussy needs a fat shaft.... SORRY)

 

Basically when I tried to put in the link it didn't fit and i wasn't really thinking and I hammered the shit out of it to get it to fit. And it wouldn't fit so I had to put the same effort into taking it back out.

 

 

Please post what mater link I should look for.

[Installing new Chain]

Yeah, make sure your adjusters are where you want them first. I nearly pulled mine all the way in and then marked off where to cut.

 

Otherwise you might not have enough room to tighten the chain as it stretches. And you'll have to take off a couple more links for your next ride.

List everything thats already done to your bike.

Everything is stock that I know except for the pipes. They are fatties with power core 2's. The rest is cosmetic.

 

 

i also have this setup and im tookin to trade for 2stock or 28mm carb setup with air box and tor eliminators.

actually id prolly trade it for a jet kit and air box wit k&n and the tor kit and cables.

I was looking around and didn't see too much on the advantages except it is good for trails.

 

I'll look into an adjustable timing plate, I wonder if I can mod the exsisting one. I have a 13tooth sprocket that is waiting for me to put in already.

 

Anyone have a single carb set up that can vouch for it? Or is it not worth the fun of putting it in?

I want to get the most out of my ride and I've heard suggestion that a 2 to 1 carb set up is great for trails. I want to play a little more in the bottom end... ... of the power band. :biggrin:

 

What parts do I need to do that?

 

Would I reuse a carb?

 

What would be the advantages?

 

(Also any other mod suggestions for trails would be appreciated.)

Is there anywhere that I can get a good rear shock for cheap? The guy that was going to rebuild mine saw the chrome wearing off of the shaft and said it isn't worth rebuilding because the seal will just go again. and to get that part chromed it would cost up to $200 on top of the rebuild.

 

All I see is used ones (who knows the history) or new ones for 400++++

 

Any advise would be great.
