  1. That PRM z-plate looks nice

I have a solid aluminum plade that only goes half way, similar to JD's just not as pretty. It made a huge difference getting over the ruts. Just slide over compared to the stock anchor getting hung up

  2. i've got 23 razrs up front and 22 bear claws for the real soupy trails and 22 xc holeshots for more dry mixed trails.

I like the clearance and my rims are offset so I don't find it tippy at all.

I think if I needed to buy new tires I would go for the razr2 or try out the Kenda Kutter XC.

In the rocky woody crap I ride in I'd rather they be tough than light.

  3. Is that duplicolor's Graphite Wheel Paint / coat?

That is some good stuff. I painted a dumb and dumber mini bike and my raptor 660 engine with that stuff. It is a tough paint too.

Good to know. yeah it's the graphite wheel paint

I just picked up some gloss black to touch up the calipers and rotors so i hope they turn out as well as the wheels

  4. Figured I'd share some paint results. Lord knows my bansh would love some attention but the gsxr's first this time.

I used an etching primer and duplicolor's 'granite' rim acrylic enamel.

    Two lessons learned

1- I used two cans and it did well but i would have liked another can to lay another wetcoat.

2- I should have used a respirator (I thought about it but not bright enough to buy it)

    Prepped

  5. Just checked out your web page. 85 for a re-valve and 40 for a new seal. Sounds good

Would you recommend a new/stiffer spring? I got this shock off a member and it squats damn low. Or would a rebuild with some valve work do it?

    I'm about 200 on a stock swingarm

on racetech's website their calculator says Recommended Rear Spring Rate: 7.13 kg/mm .... seems like a big difference

    thanks for advice

  6. I'm pretty sure that there are a lot of friction modifiers in ATF. Which is the big no no in wet clutches.

There is a logo on the back of motor oil that shows if it has friction modifiers or not.

I have a couple jugs of full synthetic Shell Rotella waiting to try. One of my friends has been racing gsxrs for years with that and swears by it.

  7. I'd like to coat a bunch of the shee's parts (swinger, arms, nerfs, bumper, rims... etc.), my gsxr and truck could use some parts. If i could do parts as big as my bikes rims I'd think it would be worth it.

I'd love to do both my frames but It seems like that won't be doable without a custom rig.

Would you mind posting a pic of your extension that you mentioned for the oven?

i was joking about it being an ezbake. just asking if it was a DIY setup

  8. my wife fell off the back when we where riding in the Crowsnest Pass a couple months ago. She'll come out for the drinking but no more riding for her... lol

She's a bit of a delicate flower anyways, I didn't see any bruises. but then again she won't even get on the back of my street bike anymore either. Oh well more toy money for me.
