  1. Just got my F.A.S.T sync tool and just wanted to make sure my thinking is correct. First of all I dont have the tors removed yet, I know, I know, I know! With that being said, what are the steps to syncing. From what I saw on youtube I will take my pods off and adjust the tors screw to make sure that both slides start moving up at the exact same time. Then from there I was going to start the quad and adjust the idle with the pilot screw so that both carbs have the same reading, and then do the same at half throttle. Now heres where im confused, if you re-adjust the pilot screw at half throtle wont that affect what you just did at idle. Fuck this, Im out, Im buying a four stroke!
  2. Whats up Sean, We are going in mid November if your plans change. The guys Im going with like to stay away from the Halloween crowd, but I am also going for presidents day with some other guys. Let me know if you are going then, we could meet up and have a brew!
  3. Stupid question but where do get k and n pods for stock carbs. I have looked online and cant quite find them. Also I was going to stick with a 300 main jet, stock needle, middle clip, and 2 turns out, you think that will be good.
  4. So I was checking out the owners mannual and it says that factory settings are 3rd clip and 2 turns out. I was thinking about just changing the mains to 300 and seeing where Im at. Please correct me if you see something I am missing. Thanks.
  5. I live in Tucson Az. When you are talking about turning the air screw out dose that mean counter clock wise? I was going to turn then all the way in then out so I can be certain that I am only turnning them out by the amount I want. Do I need to do a carb snyc after this? Please correct me If im doing this wrong. On a side note to everyone, I called RideNow and asked how much it would cost to jet my shee correctly and they said $300 It will work out better this way, I wanted to know everything about my quad anyway  !
  6. Sorry, I went a little bit gangsta up in here. Must be the so cal in me!
  7. I will be doing most of my riding in Glamis. So what you are saying is just get new pilots (32.5) and Mains (300s), install and go. I dont have to mess with the screw, or the clip position? Also toomey sells the "perfect jet kit" withe the air filter, vents and jets do you think that would do the job? By the way thinks for your time, I cant wait to hit the dunes again and hook up with some other shees and just shoot the shit.
  8. Just to let you know I real new to THE GAME, so sorry if the question might be stupid. Im getting a set of used FMF gold series fattys and I was just trying to figure out what I need to do with the jetting. It is bone stock, nothing done, no adjustments made, ridden 3 times. Will I need to get new seals / orings (sorry I dont know). It soulds like all I will have to do is change the main but I just want to make sure. Also wheres a good place online to order what Im going to need. If you guys had to guess how much of a difference will this upgrade make, provided I get the jetting correct.
  9. Thanks man, Ill get it all figured out one of these days.
  10. Just wondering if your bike has to be completly warmed up in order for it to idle on its own. The reason for my question is that today I couldnt get it to just sit there and idle by itself, the bike was cold and it was about 95 degrees. A few times after reving it , it would idle for about 5 to 10 seconds then quit. It seems to be that when it is idling its right on the verge of cutting out. I was thinking about messing with the idle screws but a dont have a synce tool and it also says that I need to adjust the pilot air screw. Im very new to THE GAME, just love to tinker and since this is my new toy I cant stand not knowing everything about it. Thanks guys.
  11. Hello, I have a 06 and it is brand new. I have not adjusted anything on the suspension yet and i noticed after watching a video that every time I would come off a small mound or hit a small rut it sounds like im bottoming out. I dont intend to get new suspension anytime soon, espesially since I dont really jump that much. Should I make the suspension hard or soft to avoid bottoming out.... probably a stupid question. I weigh 170 and a friend of mine is 200. I would rather have a slightly softer or harder ride as long as it get rid of the problem. By the way, will bottoming out hurt anything. I figure that stock suspension has to be at least Ok, not the greatest , but OK, enough to get the job done for some rec riding. Thanks for the help in advance!
  12. Thanks for all the help, this site is the greatest, its like getting free tech. advise from people who really know what their talking about, not some Joe schmoe 19 year old working at shop.
  13. Yeah on a good note, its paid off and I can just keep adding shit on till I get it done. Plus the banshee is just way more fun to ride. I prefer it over the raptor 700 I rented. There will be a time when my 350 is knocking off 450s, just got to give it time. I see what you guys where talking about now, in regaurds to making it faster. It starts with pipes, then this and then that and some more of that.....it will never end. I will enjoy the ride, pun intended.
  14. We didn't know the guy so I will have to wait for another race. Im going to get some hole shots on the back and then just put some hours under my belt. It will be a few months till I put the t-5s on.
  15. What order would you guys do things, also how much does a good port job cost. Yeah I heard the tires do make a difference.
  16. So I was out on my 2nd trip with the new banshee Saturday and these two guys pulled up my friend points out that one of them has a ltr450. So I get this bright idea to see if he wants to drag. After the proposal he tells me its got a pipe, cherry bomb, and one other thing. I figured since Im not that great of a ridder, and my bike is bone stock that he would win, I just wanted to see how my shee would compare. It was no contest, he walked all over me! Both times I just gave up in third gear. He would be at least 6 bike links in front. So my question to bansheehq was whats it going to take to keep up. My plan was to get the t-5 package, K and N pods and bigger carbs. Will these adds get me close? Thanks for your imput.
  17. Up for sale, 2006 banshee, need to get rid of asap, will trade for BMW Blaster that gose just the right speed!
  18. Yes a brotherhood, anyways If any of you are interested we are planning a trip to Glamis the first weekend in December, let me know if you want to go. We will have beer, fireworks, beer, food, beer, and a cooler for you know what. I can't wait to hit the power band and shoot sand all over my friends new four stroke.....while drinking a beer. Im not an achoholic I quick yesturday.
  19. By the way this was my first trip the glamis and this in it self made me buy a banshee. The raptors were our rental, but as you can see a friend of ours had a banshee.
  20. Thanks guys, I feel like I have joined a club and didn't even know it. The only plans I have for this thing is pipes and all kinds of chrome. Would you guys recomend T-5s or T-6s. The only thing Im going to do is a K&N air filter. Also what are the jetting requirerments for such a upgrade? As you can tell Im new to this.
  21. Hey Guys, I bought a brand new 2006 in Indio CA for $6200, the all black SE, out the door. Still has a 90 day warrenty. This is my frist banshee and prior to owning I had never ever riden one. One of my better investment! The reason I bought it was because all the fast quads at glamis seem to be Banshees. I will post pictures soon.
