  4. ^^ haha that will do it !! do you think suspension would help ya ? after market front shocks makes a big difference, youll be able to go faster through the trails. maybe a lil trail port , some timing advance. id throw 2 carbs on it too.
  5. dam, its hard when they fix them selves. maybe some worn wiring touching, or got wet and shorted ?. ive had mine soaked as well and it never gave problems (only with the tors connected it would) so i cant think of anything common that would fault. is it using coolant or just a top up after rad refill ?. not that i think that would cause it. is your fuel tap blocked or something like that ?

  12. yeh stock banshee trans are poooooo , one of the best mods is modding the trans. camatv, hjr and a few others do this, its not an override but it makes a world of difference and you dont have to adapt your riding style to it.
  13. running a bigger front sprocket is going to make your "problem" worse. less front teeth = shorter gear's, more teeth = longer gear's
  14. your only ever going to use those gears, as sprocket, tyre and primary gears dictate speed. the question is, do you want to lose some top end power (rpm) performance in those gears, changing pipes ? if your happy with how the bike pulls, leave it. if you want more bottom end power (rpm) go different pipes.

  17. the 421 will be torquier with more low and mid range. i dont know if it would be worth the swap, peak hp would feel similar. the serval can be ported for more power, where the dune port stock cylinder is at its max, with decent bottom and mid. id only get the serval, if you plan on wanting more power later.

  21. does sound kinda fat, are you running a spacer plate or cut 4mm domes ?. due to the increased compression, that puts more load on the engine, maybe enough load to break down the spark, it happens. can you adjust your timing ? if your advanced, you could retard it 1-2 degree's to see if that helps. maybe try gaping your plugs to .025". worst case throw ya old domes in there.
  22. having great spark doesnt mean you have great spark under load.
  23. have you checked the plug caps ? or other ignition parts ?. 290 is pretty lean, whats your elevation ?
  24. if the jetting is perfect, id check all the ignition resistances (plug caps, pickup, charging coil and ignition coil/leads) and check the pickup gap. RM stators have a pretty bad name, so inspect that (like bad wires or something burnt), have you got a stock stator you can try ? when did the bike start doing it ? were new parts fitted or anything ?
