So heres the deal. I bought this basket case shee last summer to "save" money. Bullshit! So anyway, she's all painted up and going back together. Besides missing half the fuckin parts, the engine that was supposed to be solid had a fucked cylinder. So I rip the engine apart and as i'm pulling the head off I notice the head gasket still in there. Now, i'm no fuckin genius and have no experience with cool head but i'm pretty sure that the head gasket shouldnt be there. So here's where I need help. The guy I bought this thing from was a "racer". I mean, he had trophies up the ass all over the garage but what the fuck does that mean anyway, not that he knows how to put his shit together but I would hope to god that he would.
So heres the questions that I cant find answers to anywhere. Do I put the head gasket in under the cool head. I hope fuckin not, it just seems wrong. Wouldnt that defeat the whole fuckin purpose of being able to swap domes with all the pretty fuckin o-rings sealing her up?
And does the coil have to be hooked up a specific way, orange on any specific terminal and black on another or does it not matter?
I'll be back with more stupid questions as the build progresses. There are some good parts on the motor and I definitely need tuning help when the time comes....
