You might be riding next to that bike wherever you ride and you probably would never know it by now. Thieves are scum but there good at what they do. I used to work for John Deere in the construction and forestry division. We found out that one of our customers had a brand new 24 ton John Deere excavator stolen from there jobsite overnight. Later that day we found out that customs had found the excavator on a ship at Port Newark on its way to wherever. It didnt even look like a John Deere excavator anymore! james

Unfortunately these days, if someone wants what you have, there gonna take it regardless of how bad ass you have your shit locked down. Theres always some type of device that will get past whatever security you have. A few years back some skell sneaks into me and the old ladies backyard to steal some of our shit, our kick ass dog "little man" eats this fucker. "Little man" was an awesome, well behaved, well manored pitbull. He never hurt anything, used to lick little kids when they went to pet him in public. He did his job! You believe we had to have "little man" put to sleep and we got sued by this low life? Because he wasnt in our home, apparently your yard isnt your home, he wasnt a threat! It doesnt matter what you have, dogs, chains, security systems, if they want it, they'll get it. Just get insurance! Everything material can eventually be replaced. You cant replace life or time if you kill the fucker. james BTW, I still have dogs. The two weiner dogs are the early warning system and the Mastiff is the final warning. Anyone ever tries to have one of my dogs put to sleep again and i'll be on CNN for some crazy Waco style bullshit.

Thanks, thats what I was looking for! james

You guys know what the differences in the models of the Hiper wheels are from the CF1's to the Tech3's?
-
I think I have what your looking for still in the package. Its a drill bit, tap and two idle screws plus instructions all made or supplied by Toomey. Came with the basket case bike I bought last year. PM me if your still looking. If you just need the tap than the kit says its a 6mm x .75 tap if that helps in your search.... james

Same opinion, no fuckin way. You've got a sick ass shee and will never be able to get another like it that will ever be that clean if you decide to go back. You can pick up a nice YFZ from ebay for $3500 any day of the week driving maybe 2 hrs into PA. And you could always use the bullshit excuse like i'm going to. "But honey, I bought this one for you so we can ride together!" On another note, were you ever riding in those sick trails in Brooklyn right off of the Belt pkwy that they turned into a shitty housing development and a fuckin mini mall? I cant remember the name of that place to save my life but we used to blast along the beach there, they had killer hills, for Brooklyn, and nice sand and dirt to play in. You would ride in between cars that were smouldering that were stolen and stripped the night before. Used to be good riding......

Trying to get in touch with FAST....
deerekillr replied to deerekillr's topic in General Banshee Discussion
Thats exactly what I need to do. I usually do all my ordering online because i'm never around and my hours at work suck. I tried calling FAST at lunch which is about 5 or 6 pm EST and I always get the machine. I dont get out until 11pm, by then there closed and I leave for work at 11am ish and there not open yet so i'm screwed either way. I'll try the PM thing. thanks guys! OH, what is Jeffs member name so I can track him down? -
I know its Sun and there closed today but i've been trying to call FAST for the past couple of days and just get a recording. I work afternoons on the east coast so i'm limited to calling during my lunch break and always get a recording. I dont leave a message because I dont carry my phone when i'm working so its no use having someone call back and leave a message and end up playing phone tag. Does anyone know the best time to call Jeff over there? I need a needle, some jets and some other stuff for my PWK that I can get all in one place but they dont take internet orders and I cant get in touch with them over the phone because my hours suck! Just trying to get the shee tuned before it starts to snow over here. Either that or i'm jsut gonna buy a yfz for the old lady and ride that.... Thanks! james

Sorry to hear about the layoff, I know what your feelin. I used to be a GSE mechanic in the airline industry. It was the best fuckin job ever. Flew all over the place in first class for free, worked with awesome people and made great money. You couldnt beat it. Finally got layed off 3 years after 9/11 after taking pay cut after pay cut and losing all sorts of benefits. Had to sell my sick ass Hydrostream speed boat that i'll never find another like it. It sucked and I think I cried too when it drove away. james

Instead of going through the trouble of getting 104 octane why dont you just mix some 93 pump gas with what you have and lower it that way? Might save you some running around. james

The track in Modena sucks and is mainly only open on weeknights once or twice a week. I've been seeing signs around Monticello for some MX stuff but not sure what thats all about. No rec rider wants to go run in any organized event anymore, too many rules and usually too many riders. You have to hook up with local riders that know where all the good trails are at. Nobody is just going to shout out the location of awesome trails because then everyone in driving distance is going to be there riding and its eventually going to get shut down. It sucks but thats the way it is. james

First off, I did search around and cant find what i'm looking for. I know i've seen a compression chart somewhere here before but I cant seem to find it now. I need to lower my compression to get off of race gas. I've got 185+ compression with 18cc domes and need to get down to a respectable safer compression where I can run 93octane. I dont know if the crank in this thing is welded either and I dont want to scatter it all over the woods. I dont care about the power loss, i'll deal with it for alittle more reliability and less hassle trying to get 5 gallons of race gas every weekend. Can anyone fill me on on what size domes will get me to a compression where I can run pump gas? Like I mentioned, i'm currently at 185psi with 18cc domes, some sort of MX port, at about 1600ft. thanks, james

Sorry to hi-jack the thread! Trav-99, where can you get the ITP's direct or even for the price you listed? I only see them listed places for over $100 a wheel. james

I agree with TeamRealTree about the AVGas. I worked in an airport for years as a GSE mechanic and its all we ran in the vehicles and caused alot of maintenance issues. There are alot of chemicals in avgas that were not aware of to help the fuel stay stable at high altitudes. Also, back in my boating days, I knew alot of guys who ran it in there outboards with less than desireable results. Were talkin about serious little race boats also, not some johnny fisherman rig. james

Remember, these are the people on the other end of the phone line when you have a problem with your computer or any other electrical item you buy these days..... If that guys that impressed with a boost bottle than someone should sent him a Ricky Stator. That piece of shit will blow his fuckin mind! james

Time to start playing with another Yamaha.
deerekillr replied to Snopczynski's topic in General Banshee Discussion
My girl is a Vespa scooter freak. We currently have three right now. An LS150 a GTS 250 and a Piaggio BV500. There all 4 stroke. The 150 does about 59mph and gets 80mpg. The 250 hauls ass and goes about 85 and get 80+mpg. The 500 is alittle less than a rice rocket and does about 120+ and gets almost 100mpg. We live up in the mountains in NY and they pull the hills no problem. The two smaller ones have small tanks, only about 2 gallons max, but the 500 has about a 3gallon tank. I was totally against these stupid little things when she started going crazy but now I realize there pretty nice. We save a fortune in fuel being that we both have long commutes, over 60 miles one way, and surprisingly enough, you get alot of respect from bikers. Most real deal bikers really like them and sit and bullshit with you, the dickhead boat shoe wearing, mid life crisis, stock brokers give you shit but thats because of there little penis's..... james -
I see his problem! He had an 01 Benshee, not comparable to a Banshee. And he was riding his Raptor like a tractor. Now I love my tractor, it does great out cuttin the field, but i'm not sure how it would do on trails... And last time I checked, you could get two awesome running stand up skis w/trailer for $1700. What fuckin world is this guy from. I honestly feel stupider after reading that.... dick!

Its almost time to start and after all the money I just spent getting this bike back together, I dont want to smoke the top end and have to park or sell this thing. So heres what i'm running. Cool head with 18cc dome about 180psi compression cylinders bored .080" over some type of woods/mx port done by "krank It" (whoever that is?) v-force 2 reeds Graydon 2 into 1 with a 35 PWK will be running straight 110 race gas about 1600ft elevation DMC 916 exhaust timing at +5 for now Heres whats in the carb now. 200 main 70 pilot DEK needle set at 2nd clip down from top and the slide is marked 45 Just looking to make sure this will be a good starting point and its not too lean with the new, bigger bore. Will dial it in after it actually starts and runs I appreciate any help you guys can give.

I'm no expert here but I just went through the same thing and you should check some basic stuff. Are the cool head studs installed in the right spots so you can get the proper torque before the head bolts run out of thread on the stud? The two front studs are longer than the rest and if you put them in the wrong spot you'll have a problem. Are there any burrs on the coolhead that might be keeping the orings from sealing properly? That was my problem and I just took a small hand file and de-burred the area of the head that was damaged. Good luck, this can be a very frustrating problem... james

Unfortunatley DMC does not make the 916 exaust anymore. You'll have to settle for the Alien setup if you want something new. You can find a set of 916's every now and then on e-bay for a decent price but thats your best shot. I looked around for over a month at different stores online and actually ordered the 916's from two companies that had them listed only to get a phone call two days later saying that they dont carry the 916 anymore and they just hadnt updated there website. Good luck, james

I finally picked up my compression test kit from my garage and got to checking my fresh motor. After kicking the crap out of it I got about 185 out of both cylinders. Like I said, this is a fresh build from a used basket case bike I picked up. I had the cylinders bored out because they were fucked and they had to go .080" over to get them clean. That was alot bigger than I wanted and expected. Plus theres what I believe to be a woods port job done by "Krank It" whoever that is....and the 18cc domes from the cool head. I was expecting to run race gas because before I put a gauge on it because it felt real snotty just kicking it, but I didnt expect the numbers to be that high. I'm just planning on riding trails and blowing around in open fields, nothing major. I dont think I need the added stress of all that compression for just jerking around. My little penis days of having to have the fastest shit around are long gone, now I just need some after work stress relief and having to pick up the pieces of my engine will not help that cause. So what do you guys think and what size domes do you think might be better for my situation to drop the compression if thats necessary. james

Can anyone with a DMC 916 exhaust please measure the dimensions of the bracket that holds the muffler to the rear grab bar area. I just got a used set of pipes and the bracket was missing and the rubber isolators are gone, apparently with the bracket. I need the segments of the bracket measured from bend to bend so i can fab up a new one without too much thought. If anyone has a spare bracket or rubbers for this thing that would be awesome also. I'm getting real lazy as I get older..... thanks
