  1. yea if somebody could give me some measurements mainly how deep into it (depth of cut) would be greatly appreciated.
  2. does anybody know exactly where the weight is removed from .i was wanting to try to do it myself i have access to the neccessary machinery and experience just scared to start hacking away at it without knowing where and about how much to cut
  3. you have to get used to fanning your clutch go out on the street and practice alot i run mine at the drag strip stock length swingarm lean all the way forward as far as you can youll prob still wheelie a little but if you can keep from having to let up on the gas you will do alot better any time i wheely my time shows it but still beat the 450s

  6. i was reading the paper that was in with my prolites it says to drill two holes centered on the exhaust port not going to waist your time on the exact dimensions. have any of you heard of this or done it .im not really sure if its nececary ive installed alot of pistons and never heard of this any info on this would be greatly appreciated also they are supposed to be lube holes and they only drill half the wthickness of piston skirt :: :: sorry about my spelling fingers not cooperating today

  8. take your filter off and try to start it i have a k&n and ive had something like this happen sounds like your not getting any air. it might have to much oil on it also i had an outerwear once get sealed up tight with dirt but looked to be clean. just a suggestion
  9. same here im lookin at brand new set of prolites they and also my 250R both have two rings only thing ive ever saw with one is real small engines
  10. im guessing you didnt read the first post on this topic "i bought a set of ported jugs that the intakes were also polished" and yes i it is apart i wouldnt take the top end off to polish my exhaust ports i dont think anyone would
  11. i am gonna rough the intakes up a bit. also gonna polish some more on the exhaust i can get it alot smoother than already is. thanks alot for the info, wasnt really sure how rough on the intakes

  13. get a 3M or scotch bright abrasive wheel, goes on a table grinder .i used one on my jugs and a few other things it will take out all casting marks gets it real smooth and very shiny.only down side is all the tight areas. just 2cents
  14. got a set of used jugs from a guy locally they are ported ,but they have been polished smooth inside is that good or bad i would think a little texture would be better for atomization im really not sure any advice greatly appreciated. sorry i have no pics. ,camera f'd right know
