I'm not sure my buddy did it. But Dan said something like when you get in the grove you turn it for some reason. I watched my buddy do it, he did get it into the grove but didn't turn it.

Well the banshee blew up last weekend. Dan Hull @ A&S racing thinks it blew because my buddy trying to do me a favor and rebuilding my top end last fall didn't put the c clips on the wrist pin on right. They came out on the right cylinder last weekend while riding and the bearing exploded and got all into the motor top and bottom. Dan's redoing my motor and won't be done till first week of May. I want to ride, but at the same time can't Waite to see the magic that he works. Oh well another three weeks to go.

Where did you guys go?

Have you guys had work done by him before? My buddy swears by him.

Well the tally so far is $975. That includes tearing it down the rest of the way rebuilding my crank with true and weld, rebuilding the rest of the bottom end with seals, rods, gaskets, and bearings. One new jug since the bearing got pounded into it, new top end kit bored 30 over, and milling the head. A smokin deal if you ask me. Also adjusting the clutch and carbs.

If my bike was done I would be up. But not till the beginning of May.

No need to even look at them now. Dan Hull is doing to the whole motor top and bottom for me. Told me that he'll have them done by the first week of May. Just dropped the motor off last Wednesday. Made it easy for him, took it off the bike and tore off the top end. :biggrin:

Whoops my bad I though you were dan HULL. My bad I just saw the number in your sig and called it. Thats funny, what ever at least I know his real name now. My buddy has the his reciept from 01 when he got his port,cpi inframes, head cut, and everything you need to go fast with. What a sleeper! Thanks for the Tip on everything.

Actually Dan is going to do a complete rebuild on my shee. Didn't even realize he's the guy that did my buddies port job. I've heard Dan Halls name I think everytime that we've been riding. So thats good enough to me. Taking my motor from detroit to Dans place on wed. Can't wait to get it done right this time. Only problem is I"m not going to make to the dunes on the 18th

Well we went to the gap on three banshee, Two servived. The trails were mostly ice, slush, snow and water. We made it pretty far for the sercomestances. About four hours of riding the bi@ach blew. The bad part is that I just had the top end completely redone last fall. Long story short after riding it one and a half times its never felt completey right. The bottem end has alwarys been a dog. When it was redone it had 292 jetts in it and felt like a dog so I changed them right before this time to 260 just like they way fmf suggest since I run fattys. It has also felt like its cutting out on the left cylender time to time, and just like it wasn't tuned. Still fast but after 3/4 of a days riding she blew herd a messed up noise and she just died. Got towed by my buddy like twenty miles and countless snow, mud, water, sand, and rocks blewn into my face and body. It was the coldest I've just about ever been. He towed me to Mckinnley bar. : Thank good beer and Jaaaggggeeeerr. :beer: Well tore her down today and a wrist pin thingy pin or what ever released from both sides of the right piston and killed the jugs,piston, head and got down into the lower end. It won't ever kick over with the top end off. :: THis sucks big time. If I have the bottom and the top gone and one jug this is going to cost me a fortune. I need help guys where can I get a Crank and pistons cheep. This SUCK BIG YOU KNOW WHAT.

I have plans to go there with like 8 people that weekend. I hope the weather is going to be good.

When I have my shee in nuetrul and shift into first It jump forward a little bit. Just put a new cable on last year and did it before I did. Adjusted it the best I could but still does it. Any ideas?

Hey guys I have a 99 banshee with fmf fatty .20 over piston reeds kn filter 260 mains. My question is the right side smokes more than the left, is the common?
