  1. for the life of me i cant remember what to torque my cool head at or my cylinders, i really nned to get a repair manual
  2. ok i think im gonna start with a 45 pilot ,155 main and a cel needle and go from there. As long as it will start and i can ride it around to see what it needs ill be happy. thanks for all the help everybody. ill let ya know how i make out on saturday after i get her all put back together
  3. so i just bought 68mm cub cylinders stock stroke and unported from rdz racing i asked him where to begin jetting at and he said he runs strictly alchohol and i have no idea where to start jetting at!! heres the rest of my mods toomey t5 pipes, keihn 35mm pwk airstrykers,pro design coolhead with 19cc domes, cases were ported, k&n powerlid, and plus 5 timing. right now my carbs have 160 mains 48 pilot and a dek needle thats how i bought them. any help is appreciated i just need a ballpark to get it running thank you also my elevation is about 1000 ft
  4. well i bought em yesterday theyll be here friday he said hell clean up the ports before he ships if theyres any casting flaws but other than that i cant wait
  5. im thinkin about buyin a set of cub cylinders off of rdz racing just looking for an opinion on how they run and what kind of hp to expect i have 35mm pwks v force 3s cool head 19cc domes timing plate crank trued and welded and cases ported the cylinders are 68mm bore any opinions appreciated appreciated. and what might a fair price be
  6. have seen it happen ride with this guy frequently as a matter of fact my banshee is in his garage waitin for cylinders to be returned from jeff personal opinion is cdi
  7. I have to disagree with that I run 20 inch I razrs all you have to do is find third and slide back in the seat and ya won't need ugly mudders.
  8. what color are your plugs and are you checking them after a nice wide open run. if they're white go with a bigger main and if the quad gives ya a hard time startin when its cold and ya have the choke on get bigger pilots.
  9. 280 main 30 pilot stock needle clip in the middle.
  10. 30 pilots may be a little big but its better to start out rich and work your way down.leaner is meaner but too lean equals engine rebuild. id go with a 280 main and start your way down. I have a set of carbs jetted with idle screws carb caps and throttle cable set up for your mods if interested.
  11. stock carbs with idle screws tors removed.carbs are jetted for toomey t5s with k&n filter at around 800 ft. Carb caps and throttle cable for thumb included 100$ obo stock head no cracks,leaks,dents dings etc like new 50 obo stock reeds and cages still good make offer unsure of what theyre worth. stock boots 15 obo all parts removed due to new engine build, came off of 06.
  12. thanks for the help deffinetly leaning towards the new side of things then, ive been thinkin about a set of cpi's or shearers anyways.
  13. i was told dynojet jet kits use different numbers than just picking up jets from a shop, i ran a 270 main and a 27.5 pilot from my local shop with those mods at that level with the needle clip in the middle .but rip off that airbow lid or drill some holes in it gotta let it breath. next good mod is a cool head , pro design water pump impeller, and some engine ice.good luck

  15. most places that i know of that do pc also do sandblastin gt fabrication in pittston pa did my pipes and stingers for 100 bucks sandblasted and all unfortunately even hi temp pc didnt hold up to exhaust temps to well now looking for somewhere to chrome anyone have any ideas.
  16. i ran 19cc domes with a k&n air lid,toomey t5s and stock reeds and vp c12 race gas at about 800ft for a year and had no problems top end looked beautiful when i tore it apart,my crank is at fast now ill let ya know if anything was wrong with it when i talk to him again.
  17. i have a set of stock carbs with tors removed new carb caps throttle cable and jetted for toomey t5s at roughly 800 ft. idle screws also installed. 75 sounds good if anyone is interested , have other parts too
  18. so heres my question i have toomey t5s and theyre not chrome plated i want to get them chromed but dont know how well it will hold up or where to do it. has anyone had this done if so where how much and how is it holdin up for ya.any advice is helpful thanks.
  19. well my buddy bought a yfz then he went out and bout an 06 banshee se and rode it like 2 times.realized he liked the yfz more "stupid" and let me take over the payments. it took a little while and a new job to get my motor to fast to get a play dune port cases ported and the crank trued and welded with a tz and maxload bearing among the other various parts i ordered including 35pwk air strykers,vitos billet intakes,v3s,cool head w19cc domes,adjustable timing plate,hd clutches,k&n air lid,baja wheels,t5s, and all the other bolt on stuff to make it look nicer and go faster. i dont know why someone would rather a 4 stroke than a banshee. I cant wait to get it all put back together to show him why he never should have parted with it
  20. so im in the market for new carbs and i notice a pretty big difference in price between the pwk and pj has anybody used both of these and whats the difference performance wise?
  21. talked to jeff yesterday he said 33 or 35 pwks would work really nice and he could give me a good idea on jetting. I think im gonna go with the 35s cuz I know im still gonna want it to be faster.thanks for the helpeveryone.
  22. basic rundown of my bike play dune port by jeff,v force 3s,cool head with 19s,adjustable timing plate gonna run it at +4,and stock airbox with k&n powerlid i do trail ridin hill climbs and want to do some drag racing this summer need a good all around carb i guess,any help is appreciated.
  23. i do a little bit of everything from tight trail,to hill climbs , to dragracing ive contemplated getting a 2 into one setup because ive heard they give some wicked throttle response and bottom end but at the same time i dont want to run an exposed pod filter because i do alot of trail and crick crossing, i guess ya cant have the best of all worlds
