for $1000 you will be able to put some coin in repairs (if needed) and still not be out much, sounds like a steal. I ride an '89 also and it is still a sweet ride!

Keep it clean too! I learned the hard way that if you dont clean it after each ride its a bitch to get the grime and crap off it. Keep it clean!

I just got my new combo switch in the mail and I wanted to know how involved it is to get it on. what do I need to take off my handle bars to get it on? do I need to take my grip off, or what? I just thought I would ask before I started! thanks in advance for the input!

Does anyone know where I can find the billet exhaust collar that will fit the CPI inframe pipes for less than $60? I am looking at a set on ebay but I still dont know if they fit. I got some rubber ones that should have fit stock and they were not even close to the right size. I really need something. so even if you have an idea that would work besides billet let me know so I can get this done! thanks guys.

Ok, I have a hidakey that I want to install. How hard is it and do I need anything special to make it happen? I know I have all the hardware but is there wires needed, or anything else?

I used fix a flat one time on a rear tire and it worked for a while but the tire seems to leak slowly again. I havnt fixed it because i dont use my nobbies ever so it isnt a big deal. the slime might work but I dont think it would be a long time fix. I would just plug it if I were you.

I have a boost bottle on my stock carbs that I want to trade for a cross over tube (stock). I dont know what brant the boost bottle is but it is in great shape. Let me know what you have!

I dont usually leave my bike there either, I put it there last night at 8:30pm and by 5:00 this morning dude was all over it.

So I left for work this morning at 4:00am and my bike was in my driveway under a tarp (I usually keep it in my sisters garage but I moved it to my house because I am taking it to the shop today.) I saw it at 4. my wife called me at 5:30 and told me that my neibor came over, woke her up and told her that some dude tried to yank my bike. Apperantly the guy pushed it out of my driveway and down the road almost a quarter of a mile, my neibor say him recignized my bike and scared the dude off. What the Hell is going on when people will steal a four wheeler right out of someones yard ! The cops came and we did a report and the whole deal. I wouldve been hella mad if not for my neibor. Thank God for good people like him. :biggrin:

I have some they are on my bike right now. they are scratched and have normal wear and tear, but they are in good shape for the most part. the stickers were removed a while back so the spot where they were is still way red but the spots whrer there were not stickers are fadded a little. I can send you pics if you have an e-mail. I would like to get $100 out of them. Let me know.

Is there a high output stator that isnt garbage? I would like to run brighter lights, if I had the chance but if my bike will run like crap it isnt worth it. Other than Ricky does someone make a 200w. stator?
