  1. thats wierd.... how many kirks with shee's in the wack are there? ive only seen 2 shees around here, and they were in a guys pickup at the bar. and thanks for the site.
  2. no... should i be?
  3. i run it, and when i tore down my engine, it looked like it did when it was put together.
  4. thanks for the advice, i really apreciate it
  5. im in the middle of rebuilding my top end for the first time and i have a few questions about some things, Ive been reading up on everything i can to help the build go smoothly. but as Ive been reading i have come across a few horror stories that are making me more nervous than i really want to be. what is the piston ring end gap supposed to be? which direction do i point the ring gap? should i mix my gas with a little more oil for the break-in period? 20:1 or so? i usually run 40:1. i have heard about lubricating everything as it goes together, but im too too clear on that one, what do i need to do about that? during the break in would i let the shee idle for about 5 minutes, then let it cool and check all bolts and retorque everything. and do that a few times (2-3) then i would ride around nice and easy for a tank, at no more than half throttle. would that break in be good and safe? if anyone else has any other ideas and pointers i would really appreciate it.
  6. yeah that could be it. people have been doing a lot of weird builds on this site haha.
  7. wasn't it something like "taking the ugly out of a banshee"?
  8. i think he did get it running, and he was always posting new pics of it on that thread.
  9. i remember that, that guy took quite the "constructive" criticism.
  10. yeah, i'll replace the bulbs and see how that goes
  11. yeah they're stock light, but they wouldnt be burnt out because they both work, just not at the same time. its one or the other. yeah its good too see someone from around here.
  12. i have the 22 inch all traks on 9 inch rims and they work pretty good, they work amazing in the mud and snow but in cali thats not too big of an issue, i like them but you gotta run them at a pretty low psi (3 to 4) but personally if i got another set id get them a bit smaller as they are kinda on the heavy side. but they really are good in any terrain.
  13. when i have the lights on high, only the left one is on. when i have the lights on low only the right one is on. can you guys help me narrow down what the problem is? its not a big problem but its just annoying lol. thanks
  14. why would they call it the banshee if it had next to no similarities to the actual shee? and a four stoke! i find that quite insulting for the name.
  15. how about the 2 piece ones with the teeth
  16. im out in chilliwack
  17. got it running for real this time, it was the bowls and the pilots too lean. started up right away.
  18. stock air filter, no lid. so the problem came back.... it can cool for about an hour now and still fire up so its getting better haha if my bowls are on the wrong sides will it still run, just not start and the choke not work?
  19. so i fixed it today. my pilots were super lean, 3 3/4 turns out. looked in the clymers manuel and it said 2 turns out, so i did and it fired up in 2 kicks. but you guys think my mains are lean? and thanks for all your help. this site rocks
  20. my altitude is like 14 feet above sea level, and i just have the silencers, and its like 10-30 degrees Celsius around here most of the year.
  21. all it has is fmf pc2 silencers, airbox lid removed and boyessen power reeds. im not sure on the pilots, how many turns out should they be?
  22. so my banshee won't start cold. if i pour some gas down the sparkplug holes it fires up no problem and runs great. but as soon as the engine cools for 5 minutes or so it wont start again. it also starts if i roll down a hill and drop the clutch. I'm jetted at 210 mains, 3rd clip, at sea level. it runs good so i don't think its the jetting. for the bowls which one goes on that side? on the inside of them one has a 1 it in, and the other has a 2. anyone know what number goes on what side? (one has that little brass plug thingy on it, cant remember what one) I've tried the bowls on both sides but they both did the same thing. the choke tube is on, I've double checked that. I'm not sure on the compression because i don't have a tester, but it pushes my thumb off the hole if i kick it. this problem is beyond me, please help me. (its had this problem off and on since i bought the thing) could it be reeds maybe?
  23. saw those today in dirtrider today they sweet
