I have paul turner hi revs i think they sound better than the t5s. the pts dont stick out like the t5s so you wont burn your legs

I used a cut off wheel and it looks fine just paint it and you are good to go. You can get a block off plate for less than $15.

You can take all the wiring out and the little box on the left side of the frame under the gas tank. Thats should get you started

you might need a new throttle cable it might let the slides down to far and choke the motor out a friend of mine had that same problem cable fixed it

K&N with precharger should be fine i just ran them at silver lake with no problem

If you put your bike in the back of a truck and are "dune ready" i do not think that they will check for spark arrestors I was there on memorial weekend thats what we did with a sled we took and a bike and had no problem we might have just got lucky.

You can have a frame sand blasted and powder coated for a few hundred that would be your best bet
