Yes it does, when I jump on it there is about 3 times more smoke out of the right side.

Also came across an outerwears airbox lid. Anybody try these? I like the idea that they dont use velcro

So there is no potential hazard of removing these end caps then. Wil the change in backpressure cause any problems?

I know I am supposed to search before I post, and I'm sure somebody else has a thread going about these but I'm having alot of troubles with this search on here. So...I apologize in advance. Anyways...My question is, Do these things actually work or are they just a money grab? If somebody could give me some answers, or at least a link to a thread with some answers it would be GREATLY appreciated.

Speaking of one side running different than the other, the right hand side smokes way more than the left hand side.

It is definitely 2 stroke oil burning, and it is the right side that smokes more.

One of my exhaust pipes smokes way more than the other. I assume this is just a carb tuning issue. Can somebody confirm? Thanks

Hmm, sounds like I need to get new pipes and probably a tune up. I'm gonna run some Lucas oil engine treatment fuel additive through it and see if it helps at all...anybody advise against this?

It sounded pretty neat, and I thought I noticed more performance but maybe it being louder just made me think that. :ermm:

Yep, I'm a new owner. Just got it on Saturday. I don't know a whole lot about them but even with the problems it has its an amazing machine. Guy I bought it from told me he thought it could use a tune up.

I pulled the caps and what I believe is the spark arrestors off of my stock pipes today just for fun. It sounded really cool and seemed to be more peppy too. Now, what I'm wondering is if it is alright to run my banshee like this? Is it going to start a fire??

My engine seems to really bog at low RPMs. Only happens through 1st and 2nd gear though. Once I hit third it goes like mad. I'm assuming I just need a good tune-up I just wanted an opinion from fellow banshee owners.

Ordered a K&N today, does the filter come with the filter flange or do I have to order that seperately?

Just bought a used banshee today and don't know much about them. Can anybody give me any quick tips and tricks. What kind of spark plugs should I use? What ratio should I mix fuel to? What kind of stuff should I do to it right away to make it more fun? The quad is a 1997 and is bone stock.
