    Handlebar Riser

    I'm looking for a handle bar riser to fit my stock bars. I dont know how much of a rise I can fit with the stock cables and such but I'm 6'5" and stock handlebar height is uncomfortable for me. Thanks

  5. I think I have a bad crank seal as well, I know it is leaking oil from the shifter though. What's involved in changing this seal around the shifter?
  6. I have an oil leak from my transmission. I think it is coming out of the seal around where the shift lever goes in. Is this possible to leak from there? Where else might it be leaking from? Also, Is it possible for oil from the transmission to get into the combustion chambers?? Any help is GREATLY appreciated!!

  9. I have a bone stock 1994 Banshee and on the weekend I raced my friend's 2003 Raptor that has K&N and is piped. I see all these posts about Banshees being faster than Raptors so I need to find out what to do to beat him. It was a pretty close race so I don't think it would take much. Like I said my Banshee is bone stock so I'm assuming there is a couple simple mods or something that will put me ahead of him.
  10. Is replacing the crank seal alot of work? or is it something I could do myself? How long does it take? Any info will be greatly appreciated.
  11. Alright yea, the green stuff is cheaper anyways so I think I'll just put some of it in there. As far as draining it... Just pull the rad cap and the two bolts from the side of the block?
  12. I was thinking of switching over to the long life coolant. I was at Wal Mart and they have some pre-mixed long life. I believe it is made by a company called Zerex. It is a 50/50 mixture and is the pinkish stuff. I think it said G-05 or something like that on it. Wanted to make sure it will be alright before I switched over. Was going to drain out the green stuff and run just some water through before switching just so I dont mix too much of the old coolant with the new coolant.
  13. I learned something new about my banshee today.... It appears that the key in my quad does nothing. I looked quickly and it doesnt appear to be hooked up even. I turned the key off and it didnt die. Looks like the previous owner hacked that some how. I guess I'm getting rid of the ignition switch all together.
  14. Well..when my banshee was warming up today I decided to try something. I covered the left exhaust tip and there was pressure there but nowhere near as much as it should be because it stayed running. When I went to caver the right tip the banshee just about stalled out but I uncovered it before it stalled. I'm kind of worried now because I dont assume that it's a good thing
  15. I see a bunch of guys have no ignition switch on their banshees. Do they still use keys? Could somebody explain whats involved in this igniton switch removal deal please.
  16. Could somebody explain to me what detonation is? It sounds bad but I'm not sure exactly what it is.
  17. I can afford to run pump premium if it's gonna save me money in the long run. Race fuel is just about double the price though and for the amount of riding I do that could ad up quickly. I'm gonna try some premium tonight and see if I notice anything at all.
  18. The best premium around here would be Shell V-Power I guess. I can't afford to run racing fuel. If I were to run 91 octane would I notice anythign in the performance of my banshee? The previous post says that it doesnt matter what grade I run.
  19. I have a 1994 Banshee and I've been running regular farm gas (~87 octane) Should I be running premium (91 octane) or is regular fine for a completely stock banshee? Will there be a power difference or something if I were to run a higher octane fuel?
  20. I do some trail riding and some all out fast riding. A little bit of everything I guess...
  21. I know absolutely nothing about piping a banshee. Looking for some opinions as to whats the best. Was looking at FMF Fattys on ebay, are they any good? Is there any one pipe that makes the most power? Any other ideas to help me decide what I want?

  23. oops, maybe some misunderstanding I just bought the quad on saturday. Been doing it since I got it.
  24. I would love to just buy some aftermarket pipes and call it done, Power and cool sound in one shot BUT... I'm a student and Banshee exhaust is soo expensive so I was just trying to find a way to get some effect of aftermarket pipes without the pipes themselves.
  25. I was hoping the carbs were just tuned differently and one was running richer than the other. Is this a possibility?
