I know! I've never seen the place booked solid so early before. Not even a primitive site available. Guess I'm going to have to look around and try another spot for that weekend.

Over the years I've spent HOURS on the phone with Trinity. Now I have my Black Belt in Bullshit.

Trinity racing bullshit!
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to NickisGod's topic in General Banshee Discussion
[cmon windycity we are all waiting on you You all just settle down. What?....I'm the only guy who can run with scissors on this site? You know this company can't organize the time and materials to pick their nose. Stop pulling your punches, pull the politically correct gag out of your mouth and let reality fly! You know you deserve a big "I told you so".... but I made the same mistake you did so I can't blast you for hoping your experience would be different. (My Trinity experience dates back to 2006. You would think they would have figured out how to pull their heads out of their asses by now........But NO!) Maybe we could talk you into going over to Trinity and picking up the part that Nick needs and shipping it to me. (Might not be time to get it to Nick before he leaves, so ship it to where he's going) See....this is getting even more interesting, because Nick is planning to drive from NY all the way to me in far west Chicagoland to let me put his Banshee with a complete fresh Trinity motor that was assembled by FAST on our dyno. Now the original plan was for us to meet at silver lake and ride. But Nick wanted to make sure the motor was totally dialed in jetting wise before he dropped it in the sand. So he made plans to drive the extra 4 hours to come get it done right. (I told him to do the motor break in on his own because I really didn't think it would survive the break in. But we don't want a reputation for blowing up Banshees on our dyno. So I wanted to know it had ran at least for a while.) Um....NO. You got conned by Jaymes just like I did. He told me a 400cc P.V. cheetah was going to make 115HP on race gas with Trinity pipes! Plus the P.V. 4 mill motors have MAJOR problems! I tried to tell everyone , but YOU just called me the dumbest guy on this site. So let's not go thinking the the reason Trinity is falling from grace is that the mighty Jaymes has left. Duuuuh I think I tried to cover that repeatedly for over a year. You even echoed some of the statements I was making at the time......Till Jaymes got his hands on you. Checks were sent, posts were removed, Trinity blew smoke up everyones ass about how they were going to be involved and fix things, you came on and told everyone that Trinity deserved another chance..... Don't look now but...for about a year now you were running this site JUST LIKE DIRT WHEELS! Look....I did the whole quote and post nice and short like tyler does. I'll save the real good stuff for when we get the dyno numbers from Nick's bike. (sorry Nick but I'm not worried about the stock length swing arm your running at this point. I just hope you make more than the 68HP your first 485 Cheetah motor made.) So.....can we make this a sticky now and update it every month forever? -
Banshee Tech Spreadsheet (Banshee Digital Toolkit)
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to CarvedArt's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
This poll has had 60 views and ZERO responses. (That might shed some light on your question.) But whatever it is....Re-name the thing because "Banshee Tech Spreadsheet" doesn't really tell me what it is I'll find if I click on it. (Sounds more like an accountant's homework for a weekend.) As for the original name of your post "Banshee digital tool kit".......I've never even looked because I was thinking it was something different. Call it the "Top 20 things Chuck Norris needs to beat into your head about Banshees" and you might get more looks. Better yet....name it - "All the tricks those dumbs shits at the Blaster Forums wish they knew about Yamahas" -
SILVER LAKE DUNE DATES
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to WINDYCITYJOHN400's topic in Riding and Events Forum
We get there on Fridays between Noon and........3PM at the latest. (There is a race that weekend...but it's a National, so test and tune at the dragstrip is only for the people who are racing the whole weekend.) So we'll get camp set up and hit the dunes till 8-9pm. Who's coming with you in July? You coming down with the wife or are you bringing friends too? -
SILVER LAKE DUNE DATES
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to WINDYCITYJOHN400's topic in Riding and Events Forum
You'll be there when.... June 22-23-24 or July 20-21-22 ??? Or BOTH? -
SILVER LAKE DUNE DATES
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to WINDYCITYJOHN400's topic in Riding and Events Forum
Then you'll miss hitting the dragstrip. Sorry to hear you can't make it. That's ok tho...it'll give me time to get my bike dialed in before you come ride in July. -
let's do a little Clint Eastwood wordplay....... We could go with- Pale Rider High Plains Drifter Cause just like in the movies...we're not sure who the rider is....but we're rooting for ya. Or go with something that is a little tongue in cheek- Magnum Force Million Dollar Baby A Few Dollars More Or on the other hand we could try- Make An Offer Classified For Sale

535 cheetah rebuild question..need info

He does do some nice work. My wife's bike is a 370 long rod motor with his full dune port and it's a blast. -

WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to edgehanger's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I stand corrected. Well at least your dealing with the guy who does a great job with those 535's. They do run a lot better than the 4 mills. When did you get that motor dyno'd? Not bad on gas. -

What happened to the awesome Trinity motor? Titan Racing......get new domes...... Why does that ring a bell? I think I heard that before somewhere. Now if I could just remember who...... -
Enough to make it worth it.

Did that sound funny or like a joke in your head when you were typing it? An LOL or a smiley at the end might have saved you, but...... Sorry this whole thing is a little slanted towards an over reaction as far as I can see. I would be upset about some stranger driving my ride......but if anyone is THIS bent about it...then they must not have much in life except a vehicle that they have rapped their entire identity around. If you have to MAKE a woman listen or do things your way....then she's just not that into you and you should just leave. (If your dog needs a fence or leash to keep it from running away, you don't have a pet...you have a prisoner.) If your not ideal enough for her to WANT to do all the things to make you smile....then one of you picked the wrong partner. (If your dog isn't happy to play fetch and bring you back the bone......Don't beat the dog. Throw that bone to another dog!)

The bike comes with a set of DG pipes guys! Other than that it come complete with it's entire bone stockness........including those bald ass tires. So I'm beginning to see a HP/SPEED exaggeration factor in all the Banshee sale posts. So just what would that mean if WE were going to list our machines in a public sale like that? What would our HP/SPEED correction factor have to look like? I'm thinking mine would sound like this............ FOR SALE - Mint condition Custom 2014 Banshee All fresh 30cm stroker motor with all the tricks built by Ryan Villopoto's mechanic. (700 cubic inches!) Ridden by the entire Nitro Circus crew as a practice bike for the X-Games. It was my uncles bike, he bought it from Travis Pastrana last year for $35,000. I just had it all freshened with custom parts. It has Titanium Frame, Crank and Valves for more strength. Full Woods/MX/GNCC/Drag suspension with flame covered shock covers. A neighbor who is a cop clocked me doing 150MPH on my street......(I was only in second gear.) On my GPS it showed that I was hitting 320 MPH on a long gravel road near my uncle's house. I can pull the front end up in any gear with just the crack of the throttle. A lot of people say they have "Crazy arm ripping power"....not this bike. This bike is so fast you need to run oxygen to your helmet and wear a flight suit to keep from blacking out. Bike is a killer MX ride. Clears all the triple jumps at my buddies back yard track in the himalayas. Does 250 MPH up Olds hill at glamis. (Can include sand gecko paddles if you click the buy it now.) Has cool head with custom 12cc domes. Needs jet fuel to even start. Won't run on race gas or alky unless you tame it down some. ( pump gas domes included with sale) Has oversized purple silicone power bands with custom re-enforced carbine fiber inlays for added strength. New dirt digger 32 plate clutch with Busa fibers and Z06 shift forks. Custom Rocket R3 out of universe drag pipes custom modded with CPI silencers for freight train low end torque and Trident missile top end. Beats every 4-stroke I've ever raced from YFZ450's to Turbo LT-1's. I tried to race an SR-71 that had cams...but he chickend out. Have the fastest Banshee ever built. Top speed right between sound and light. Has all surfaces polished or chromed. (even the tires) Not for the faint of heart. Won't sell to anyone under 30 years old. I don't need to sell so NO LOWBALLERS! OR I'LL COME TO YOUR HOUSE WITH CHUCK NORRIS AND STONE YOU TO DEATH! If you need pics THEN YOUR A DUMBSHIT CAUSE YOU SHOULD JUST RUN OVER HERE AND BUY THIS BIKE CAUSE IT WILL MAKE YOUR LIFE BETTER BECAUSE IT'S SOO BADASS! But call me and I'll text you pics one per day. Can't get pics right now.....the bike is stored in my air plane hanger and my G6 is blocking it in. I'm out of town working on the space station and I'll get some pics when I get home. Bid with confidence. Ignore my bad seller rating. FUCK THAT DUDE! You can ask my mom...she'll tell you I DIDN'T DO SHIT! So feel free to contact with any questions (Like why are you so stupid you haven't clicked the buy it now yet?) and I'll try to answer them for you. If your not already on the way and so excited that your wearing a NASA space diaper so you can drive straight thru so you don't miss out on this deal, then FUCK YOU! (I can crate it for an extra $3,000 + shipping costs if you send cash via USPS) Days left in auction - 3 days and 5 hours till your chance to NOT be a slow looser anymore are over!

I'm a huge fan of nice V-8 sand rails. (I know by the time I hit 50 years old I'll be upgrading to one because "With age comes the cage".) But for now it's fun to fall in along side of them and ride around on their wing. I just like to know I can do what they do for thousands less. But you still make a good point about vouchers.....But it's like that almost every weekend in June - July - August. Just part of the work that goes with trying to have fun.

Have you tried starting the bike? Ok, seriously......Your stator has a separate lead for the lights. You can have power to the ignition, yet still have now power to the lighting system. It may be in the stator. Hope that helps.

shearer custom made big bore inframes
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to BLOODRAGE's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
No, in case you haven't noticed....I like to test those "Common beliefs" on the dyno. What I found was that the SB pipes work very well for the 421 motors. Now if your set-up liked the BB pipe more, then that's fine. Many who like the BB's on smaller motors tend to run a lot of compression and a lot of timing. (This tricks the pipe into holding more heat and acting like a smaller pipe.) So I was just asking a simple question. "Why?".... I was expecting an answer like "I saw lower times at the track" or "I dyno'd it and it gained ____ HP vs. the SB's" or "It felt faster" I wasn't trying to start anything. I was trying to share info. I did a ton of testing on a 472-492 motor and found that with exhaust timings from 193 to as high as 202 the motor tended to make the same top HP with both SB and BB's. But the SB pipe made a stronger front side torque curve. So I was hoping you would add to the discussion by sharing the real world testing that led you to choose the BB's for your 421. -
We'll be there July 20-21-22.

shearer custom made big bore inframes
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to BLOODRAGE's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Why? The SB were designed for the 421. His OOF SB were designed for a 421 on alky. -
shearer custom made big bore inframes
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to BLOODRAGE's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
The Big Bore pipes are designed for motors that are 535cc's and bigger.......What motor are you running that would breath thru an air box and still feed a motor than needs BB pipes? I ask because I think you either need to be running better, bigger filters on your big motor....or your running Way to big of a pipe for a small motor. -
Best head for the banshee?
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to My03banshee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
If it's a Trinity head with Trinity domes you might be detonating and that can cause small amounts of water to enter the cylinders. It won't happen when your sitting still inspecting the radiator, but might be happening at certain wide open throttle situations. Eventually your O-rings will blow bad, or you'll have piston damage. Do a squish check of your piston to dome clearance and post the results. If we rule that out you can go on to guess #2....... -

How do you think your new 485 stacks up against your other past motors? -
421 cheetah p.v v.s 421cub
WINDYCITYJOHN400 replied to bansheeboie's topic in General Banshee Discussion
How did it do compared to Matt's motor? (I know Matt has the best tires for the coal....but did they ever shake them down in a drag?) I tried to talk him into skipping the whole P.V. install and just running it the way I had it set up....but those PA guys really like the P.V. motors. I figured it found a happy home. When are you guys going to go dyne some of your motors? Talk someone into a group rate, or rent by the hour and be ready for speedy jet changes. What did you end up doing as far as your build with the 535? (I smell a HP war coming in the PA.)
