I have the Knarleys in the rear & Klaws on the front, they seem like awesome tires but this is my first four wheeler. I have had dirtbikes before so I am not used to quads. It seems like non one can give me a real reason why they are better which is kind of odd. I could save myself some money to put towards the Hipers if I stuck with the Kenda's.
-
How & why are they better? I think I am going to go for your Quad-Roks with Razr II's or Kenda's. How are the Razr's better? Do they handle better, grip better, wear better or what?
-
I really need the clearance around here though, the trails are just filled with rocks. I live in the Granite State, literally! I figure if I drop down a tooth on my front sprocket I will be fine.

I have a set of Kenda Klaw XCF's in the front & Knarley HT in the rear. I am thinking of replacing them with 23's & 22's for better clearance. Everyone raves about the Razr II's but are they worth the $20-$30 more per tire? Are they really that great? So far I love the Kenda's but figure if I am going to replace them I will go with the Razr if it is that much of an upgrade. I ride in New England, our trails are rocks, dirt, mud & sand. In other words everything but with more rocks!

So you feel the Quad-Rok's are lighter & stronger than the C-Series?
-
Thank you, glad your happy. I still have the tank, radiator cover in yellow as well as the blue front race cuts. If anyone needs those please let me know.

I wish the websites had weights listed, I am not super concerned about it but I would prefer to not have the heaviest wheel out there. Rotating mass is rotating mass no matter what. I guess the Quad-Rok is a good choice but how strong are they, they claim they are the strongest but so does ITP

So no thoughts at all on any of these wheels? Maybe the mods can move this question into the proper forum?

Hello, I am looking for a strong wheel for woods & rock riding. I wish I could justify Hipers but that is a tough one at the moment. So I am thinking C-Series but I read on here there are some cracking problems, I don't know if it was just the old ones or what but I am concerned. I am big & ride in really rocky terrain. Part of my reason to switch rims is so I can go up to 23's in the front & 22's in the rear for better ground clearance. I am concerned about strength because I whacked my stock front rims a few times this weekend & dented them. So I haven't seen any recent concerns about C-Series but there have been problems in the past for sure also everyone claims they are really heavy. I am concerned about bigger tires & heavier rims affecting the handling. The Quad-Roks seem like similar rims but possibly even lighter, but are they as strong if not stronger? Only one person on here seems to run them. Finally for a little more money I could go ITP Baja's & they certainly seem strong enough but they are a little more pricey.

I just went through this last week when I replaced my lines & it was a major pain even with a MightyVac. What you need to do is crack the lines first & pump the brake lever until you get fluid down to the calipers, after that you can hook up the MightyVac. It took me two days with just the straight vac, I have done dirtbikes like that before but it is always one larger line only.

No problem, I don't blame you that is crazy for shipping!

OK, so where should I get jets? I don't really want a kit b/c it looks like two sets of jets, I think I will need & feel better if I had the 270-300's.
-
I just picked up a used pair of Fatty's, I have searched & searched but the recommendations are all over the place. So I know I will need to jet & do plug chops but I am wondering what range of jets I should buy to start with. My bike is completely stock, I will remove the snorkel but plan on keeping the lid, too much mud in New England! I am also keeping Tors until it gives me problems. I plan on riding in temps from 10 degrees to 100. Basically I need a starting point for summer & winter at sea level. So I am looking for a good range of jets to buy for winter & summer, lets break it down to winter range of jets & summer range if possible. Thanks.

Savage, let me find a box & let you know how much it will be.

I need to get an angle gauge actually & will measure it when I do.
-
OK, the rear fender is spoken for, how about the rest? I was hoping they would all go in one shot.
-
Ouch, didn't know you had to pull your pipe, that blows. Are you sure you can't snake it out?

You still need to fix your heim joints so when you take the upper arms off you should try swapping them. I think yours are on correctly from what I can see but to be safe just swap them. All you need is a 14mm socket & a 17mm wrench, it will take you a few minutes. Finally just look down from the top, is the upper balljoint behind the lower ball joint? If so, your good to go.

I tried to post pictures of my control arms but I still have fenders & my front wheels on. I have maybe, a quarter of inch of space between my shock springs & my control arms, in fact my shock covers velcro rubs against the control arm slightly. I went for another ride today & the bike handles excellent.
-
Yep, he said the large hoop does go to the front or the shock will not fit, I confirmed this for sure when I took my arms off & tried to swap them. I think the other guys in the post may have newer arms that could be redesigned but yours look like mine & I have two rides on mine already with no problems.

We must be driving them nuts! They are probably like where are all these Banshee questions coming from

OK, I will box everything up tomorrow & work out shipping estimates but does $50.00 a fender & $25.00 for the tank & radiator shrouds sound fair?
-
That sounds fair to me, I am only trying to recoup what I paid for them & felt I got a good deal, I am just passing it on.
-
Ok, I was hoping to sell them all in one shot since they are boxed but I can probably come up with individual boxes & make it work. I will take some pics but I haven't been able to post them up here because they are too big. Let me unbox them & maybe if I e-mail pics to one of you they can post them up here?
