  1. I have a 1999 Yamaha Banshee 350cc. atv for sale. ATV is in great running order and looks good as you can see from the images. I have taken decals off plastic and looking to get new ones, but would like to sell as is- and you can add your own choice of colors. ATV is mostly stock- only added a few changes to make it a little faster than it was. If you are looking for a great quad. for the money, look no further. No trades unless it is for a 4stroke quad of equal or greater value. you can e-mail or call at 937-459-9234. Thanks
  2. I just replaced the sprocket and noted a lot of slack in the chain without changing the carrier from the original 14T sprocket. I still have the stock 41T rear sprocket installed. Just thought some might have done it and found how many to take out. Thanks for the advice...
  3. I just changed froam a stock 14T front sprocket and went with the Renthal 12T front sprocket. My chain is the 520-104 and I need to know what length I will have to go to for the chain to be the right length. Thanks
  4. Itried what you stated to no avail. I put in two new needles with the clip in the middle, 250 mains & 25 pilots. Now I can not get it to idle (which was not a problem before) and it revs very low. WOT is sluggish and slow. Tried 290 mains & 25 pilots with the same results. WHAT NOW?
  5. it seems as if I am getting closer... I pulled them again and changed to a 320 Main and 27.5 Pilot, 2 turns out on the air screw and changed the needle settings. Noted one needle on 2nd from tappered end on one and 3 from the tappered end on the other. Both now on 3rd from blunt end as my needle has 6 slots. Does the Shee not like the low rpm of putting around the yard in 1st? Cause when I get on it - it reacts very well!! It also seems to top out quickly in the low gears. is this normal? Thanks for all the help!!!!
  6. I am up to 300 mains and it seems to be close. Getting to WOT it sounds good, but tops out quicker than I feel it should. The problem I have now is the 1/8 to 1/4 throttle. It sounds bad. I have the pilots up to 30 and tried changing airscrew from 1.5 to 2 with no change. Do I need to go up one on both the mains and pilots?
  7. Great!!! Thanks for the advice. I have been doing some more checking and it seems between 280 & 320 is the range to be in... I will start there and find the happy medium  Thanks again
  8. I have a stock shee as I only have K & N pod filters as a mod. (Like to keep things simple) I tried running 220 mains and 25 pilots, but it seems to be lean. I kinda need advice on how far to increase either for the conditions stated in the topic... I tried searching for topics with my same elevation and temp. but could not find any. I was looking to go to 280 mains and 27.5 pilots, but I am unsure. Just looking for a starting point. Thanks!
  9. Thanx!! This atleast will give me a start... Let me know if you end up doing it before I complete one and what you came up with... Thanks again...
  10. Is their or has anyone tried using a fan to keep it cool? I thought of an oversized radiator, but thought this might work better if someone has tried it. Thanks
  11. The jets were: 220 mains 30 pilots I checked the carbs and noticed that the right one is slightly lower than the left, but not by much... How do I adjust the slides? Thanks
  12. Yes everything has been removed (TORS) and has ran fine since. I then have taken the FMF two into one pipes off and replaced them with the stock pipes... The only add on is the K&N filter in the stock box. Idle screws have been installed... elevation is 1025ft and temps 60-85 deg... Has new gas and oil...93 octane and with new plugs No compression check done.... THANKS!
  13. I am still getting the same results as above. The top end seems to spit or back fire when you bring it up to the top. Do I need to increase the main and pilot? Thanks
  14. Great that must have been the issue..... I still am getting a little bog when trying to drive off. I have to give it more than what I thought I would have to, to get it moving. What is the cause of this????? Also I feel that it might be loosing power on the top end. what adjustments must I make to correct this? While keeping it stock...... THANKS GUYS!
  15. honestly I do not remember. I have a feeling it was not... Would this have caused all of this???
  16. just took it a part again!!! Slides look good and are in the right carb... Slot facing air filter....
  17. Alright guys!!! I have a bone stock 1999 Shee. I have just rebuilt the carbs and have 200 mains and 25 pilots (Sent with kit). I then put everything back together and have a bigger problem then what I started with (Leaking thru over flow-"fixed"). It now is very hard to start (Takes starter fluid to start), Once started, I have to keep in the throttle or it dies. As I am hitting the throttle it starts to bog, come up on throttle and spit out the pipes. Noticed today that it runns a little better on chock and smokes out of left pipe more than right. I live in Ohio and want to keep it stock, to just play around on. TORS have been removed completely..... What are the possibilities? Thanks!!!
  18. Do you still have this quad? and where are you located? Thanks
  19. Where at in NC and what would it cost to meet halfway? Thanks Jeremy
  20. Thanks Guys!! I appreciate all the feedback that I have already received, just in the two days I have been on here.. I have been through a lot of fourms and have read a lot of helpful advice. Hopefully I will be riding next weekend. Just have to find the right one. Thanks
  21. I have had quads before, but I did not want to invest in one that I will have to work on all of time. I hear honda's ex is a pretty reliable quad, but I like to looks and sound of the Banshee. Just thought I would get a feel for people on here before I made my choice. I plan on doing alot of Sand riding, As my family has land near Silverlakes ORV area. Thanks agin for the advice......
  22. I am looking for the right quad. I have always heard horror stories about the Banshee's, in the fact that they are a mechanics nightmare. Is this true? or is this just some peoples bad luck.. I want to start off with a older quad and upgrade after getting more familiar with the make up of the quad. I have always noticed the looks of this quad and the many upgradable parts. I have many people that race this quad and yet I am still on the fence on whether getting this quad or a different one. Can anyone help me with the pro and cons of getting a banshee? Thanks for the help......
  23. what are you asking for it now? Thanks
