  1. has not set their status

  2. Went out again last night and yep... the the plate just wasn't put in right. I took everything off and did again, and no she seems good. Now, tonights project is to install a helicoil for one of dthe reed cage bolts. Thanks everybody for the input!
  3. I like to ride! My two kids changed my priorities and I have a two year old that loves to help, but very counter productive. Hopefully it won't be long and we'll be ridin' together!

  4. Rebuilding after re-doing top end and installing shift star. Problem is that everything is tight, but when the clutch lever is not pulled in there is still some play with the disks. I don't remember if this was like this the last time i did the new basket? There is more play when the lever is pulled in, but thought there would be none when the lever is out as in dis-engaged. Is this how it is supposed to be? Need some help don't want to miss another riding season.
  5. I would be interested. Let me know. There is also some cool shit up around here, trails and shit.
  6. Live in Lloydminster, Alberta I have one and the one I bought for the wife is being rebuilt.
  7. I need the fuel tank. Are all mounting holes and threads good? How much for shipping to Lloydminster, Alberta, Canada?
  8. Do you still have the swing arm for sale?
  9. Thanks. I read today what i posted last night and i don't know if it was exhaust fumes or what?? But the 10 degrees difference was in the outside temp. The TORS are removed, I am pretty sure now that it is a jetting problem. I will drop a size and see what happens. I just don't know why it run great and now have that snapping sound, because it sounds different. I'll try swapping plugs and see what happens?
  10. I had to re-do the orings on my coolhead due to not re-torquing. I won't make that same mistake, thanks to everyone for their input, the nuts did back off and loosen. Problem fixed! But the problem I have now is that the right side pipe has a snapping sound too it. It is quite abit cooler by about 10 degrees celcius. Would that be a jetting/lean problem? It ran strong and fast last time, and now this?
  11. That is what i am hoping for, it is really the only thing that makes sense with the coolant, not over heating, still has compression, still turns over and it is cheap.
  12. I did do the proper break in, I spent a LOT of money on my banshee this last winter. I took all precautions so something like this wouldn't happen. what do you do?
  13. That used to happen to me, so I spent about $6.00 and never had that problem again.
  14. it was 150F. the jetting seems correct. i know i didn't overheat it. i won't know until tonight, the wife is gracious enough to let me work on it tonight. it is surprising how fast it can go from being the fastest to being towed?
  15. I checked at lunch and it was 150 degrees F, so I should be ok for temp. I'm going to work on it tonight, and hopefully it isn't too bad?
  16. That is on the to do list tonight. But how do I get it to run at an optimal temp?
  17. I do have a aluminum impellar, oversized rad, cool head... and the list goes on. What should a banshee run at?
  18. I was out on my third ride since i rebuilt my engine. It has ran strong and fast and i have been able to beat all my friends. but yesterday i had to get towed home, good thing i got good friends. I was going and shfted down to third, no funny sound and my friend came up beside me and i shut it down but i did see heavy, thick white smoke coming out of the pipes. I took my plugs out and they were soaked with coolant. I am thinking the o-rings in my coolhead melted, when it happened i was 150 degrees celcius. Are there anymore ideas out there? Has this happened to anyone before and what am i dealing with?
  19. I had the banshee running for about three minutes and the right side pipe was HOT and the left side cool? I went down to 350 mains and clip is third position with 27 pilots. The bike ran fin before except for the clutc problem, but that is fixed now. Could it be a fouled plug or the air fuel ratio???
  20. I just installed a magura hyd. clutch as per clymer manual. It moves when i have the clutch pulled in and have to rev to keep it running. Is there a different procedure for the hyd. clutch? All the marks are where they are supposed to be. I have new FAST clutch, billet basket and new outer hub. Anybody got some useful info on this?
  21. I live in Lloydminster and I sent mine down to Kevin @ Herr Juggs Racing. Very impressed, always answered his phone and it only took three weeks this winter to send them to California and get them back. It is a new quad now, snappy and more power then I need.
  22. Can anybody tell me if this stuff is for real? Is there another fluid I can use in my magura clutch?
  23. I put 280 jets inand dropped the needle one more clip position. i have a bog at wot. at first it was in 6th gear and as it cooled off it even happened in 4th. but when it was warm it had some serious punch! i don't know if i should go back to 270 or should i adjust the needle up or down? i will have to play with it this weekend and see what i can come up with. since it is in wot throttle it should be my mine jets, so do i go bigger and adjust or smaller and adjust?
  24. I think I should be able to beat my buddy on his new 700r raptor bad, but i can barely beat him in top gear. i have t-6 pipes, twin air intake, boost bottle, v force reeds, tor cap kit and bored .010 over. i have stock carbs. i am currently running 270 jets. what can i do to increase my accelleration.
