yeah, thanks kaos! I will try that tonight. I wish the rebuild would just be done I do not want to put it back together I just want to ride it........oh well it will be worth it when its done thats what I got to keep telling myself anywyas

yeah unfortunitly i do know about it..........bad thing is I learned about it after I had it powdercoated! so i have to probably get a punch tool to get it out huh? so is that the only way to get it directly from yamaha? maybe a frame up restoration wasnt such a good idea (sigh)......

They look great! I want to see pictures of them on the bike! I'm going to be doing this to my Gold Fatties soon also. I have been pondering how White would look on them. I've got White and red plastics, white stem and swing arm......thought it might look kool. What do you guys think?

I know it is hard to answer but how much more stress is put on the engine if you buy a 4mm stroker and not get the 5mm longrods to go with it.? or how long would a longrod last vs stock rod lenght

Mine was stuck on there also, I torched it off and bought a new stator/flywheel. Broke three pullers trying to take it off the "correct" way haha.

I've had a few questions about the stroker crank also. (I hope you don't mind Wako) Vitos has a 4mm stroker crank that does not have long rods on it... what is the benifit to having long rods? Without the longrods you can use the stock pistons correct? so why not go that way? 4mm stroker spacer plate and thats it? sorry for the questions but I thought his might be good info to get out there. thanks

Have not heard much from them and i live close to toledo. I would personaly just send them out to Fast or another well known banshee Buiseness. That is what i am planning on doing later.

I just put some on two nights ago and love mine, it did not take long and was not a pain at all. you will need help putting them on though because compressing them by yourself is hard. you need to compress them about an inch to get them to fit into the upper shock mount. no big deal and a very good (cheep!) upgrade. If you are on a budget like me its a good upgrade.

If you have any pictures/information of the swap post it up I am sure we are all very interested (at least I know I am).

there are alot of diesel Lemans Race cars that do very well, and put out a huge amount of horse power. Tourqe wins races not horse power. :wink: as far as economical diesel engines are get alot better miles to the gallon vs gasoline cars. That is the main reason Audi does so well in races because they can go alot further inbetween pit stops. I can understand wanting to be able to rev an engine. But personaly i would rather have a tourque engine than a 9k redlining 4 cyclender. I know many people that would rather have it the other way around though. To each his own. :shrug:

I think pictures of all of that stuff would be great. Pictures are always a good thing! If some one was looking to do this swap how much do you think it could be done for. I understand that there is a big difference in the price of jugs sometimes but a ball park figure.

how much can you get a topend from a RZ? What wiring would have to be done to splice into the Stock banshee wiring? I actualy am curently looking for a good project but do not know where to buy parts for them....I see parts show up every now and then on the for sale, part of this forum, but is there any other places to buy a RZ topend? and where can you buy these new powervalves and electronics? Sorry for all the questions just trying to spark some more conversation on the subject. thanks all of you for all of the great information keep it comming!

Powervalves are kool, but a desiel engine banshee deffinatly be awesome. Diesel engines are by far my favortie type of engine. but like Whitbread said kicking a high compression engine would be kind of hard.
