i called toomey about mine blueing/purpleing...they said it is very normal for color change....they said it should only be about 5-7 inches from the start of the pipe.? anything further and it may be defective..replaceable?

wtf!!!! was yamaha thinking when they produced the yellow and purple shee? can you imagine them putting out a yellow and puprle ...yfz450?

ok so i have the tors eliminator....i pulled my carbs off for the first time today..i had no idea what i was doing ..but followed the advice from one of my previous posts...but i do know that the needles were set differently..one was set on the 4th notch down..(out of 5)and the second was set at the 3rd down i still dont know what jetting im running? the only # i saw was on the needle..and it was weird..it had a 5 n 7 ? what does the jet itself look like?

so i was reading alot of posts before asking this and couldnt find what i was looking for... do stock carbs come with air screws? and is the lock nut on the screw supposed to come off if i unscrew all the way?or is it supposed to stay in place on the carb? the reason i ask..is that last week when i went riding around my house for about and hour...it took about 6 or 7 kicks to start vs. the 2 it usually does...but it wouldnt idle with out a tab bit of pressure on the throttle..while riding as soon as i let off the throttle it would want to bog out..after walking a couple wheelies..it all of a sudden would run and idle perfect? go to start it today and it took even longer to start...i adjusted the air screws and got it started and then while running it bogged completely out and wouldnt start back up until i messed with the screws again..and it started and bogged again...i'm curious as to where my screws should be set? is it possible i need to clean my carbs out? my mods are t-5's,.vf reeds,pro flow adapter with air box lid removed...i do have a boost bottle(i dont want to hear it!)and i'm not sure whats in my carbs..never had them off..i'm really not sure about my tors...it might be removed?whats somevisuals that would confirm that? thanks for all your help guys..if it wasnt for you and this site i'd be lost

i was going through aluminum sprockets like they were goin out of style!(and they were more expensive)but now i go all steel as well....and i have a blue o ring chain also... couldnt you hear the chain slipping?..when i bought my bike from my brother the first thing that went wrong was my front sprocket..as i was about 2 miles from home...i heard this abnoxiously loud grinding noise and extreme loss of power...i was like WTF!!! i thought my transmission took a shit...i had to ride 2nd gear at like 10 mph all the way home...got home and didnt even realize to check the sprocket...plus with my cascade case cover you cant really see the sprocket teeth....so i sat like a week and a half not knowing what the hell i had done... my teeth didnt break off...it was round..lol

can someone describe clutch slippage...and what are signs of my clutch getting ready to take a shit?

i'd really like to hit up ocala...havent been there yet...but im willing to drive anywhere.... they have supposedly restricted quite a bit of trails/areas in ocala...but it's such a big place.....keep me updated......
