i think he was talking about the cylinder studs in the middle. head studs will be longer than oem as well but i dont think that's what he was referring to. either way not going to hurt anything imo. i dont have an opinion on the carb jetting, i'm running dual 35 pwks so i cant be much help there. good luck, keep us posted!
drag ported 421 stock cyl, 35pwks, cpi in frames. did quite a bit of duning at little sahara and some drag racing too. very pleased with the slingshot.
We're going to Little Sahara this week/weekend. If it survives this trip it must be bullet proof b/c the bike gets nothing but abuse while it's there lol. I'll report back how it acts and/or if I blow up the motor. I've got good expectations though. Heard a lot of good things about them.
Bought a slingshot last week and went to put it on last night. All went well, followed the instructions provided. Only set back is the steel plate on the lockup rubs the inside of the clutch cover. The nubs have been ground smooth. Instructions say there needs to be at least 0.060" between the steel plate and the lockup after the bolts have been torqued. After I torque mine there is about 0.100". Any ideas......?
Thanks in advance.
No not really. Kid I got it from was pretty small. He was smaller than me which makes me think he bought it from someone else who already had them on there. I'm at 225 so I'm definately not a "small" guy lol. Any idea, ballpark, what it'd cost to get them resprung/revalved? Thanks for the info.
I bought a banshee and it has dual rate works shocks up front w/ the stock shock in the rear. To make a long story short they ride way too rough and beat you to death and I don't like it. Do I just need to send them off to the manufacturer and get them resprung? Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
You need the one for the front shaft or the back shaft? I've got some spare tranny parts and I might have the gear you need. I'll have to look though. Let me know if you need the front/back/both gears.
I've used it to put cases together. I didn't like the yamabond b/c how stringy it is. I prefer the RTV and haven't had any problems with it. Someone else might have some more insight though....jmo
