  1. thats what i meant. why should i remove it and i was just wondering what it was! haha thanks tho guys. first off. how do i remove it and how much is a TORS removal kit second off- yes i know what that triangle thing on top of my carb is but i thought that was something with syncing or something thirdly-what does it do with it on? and last what does it do after i take it off?!? thanks!
  2. hello i am in the prior lake minnesota area and would be willing to haul out to whereever it is needed to find a bansheehq ride or just a ride with some guys and gals on there shees and yamahas.... thanks!
  3. i have a 2001 shee with the stock rear fender graphics on it that has banshee with the swoop type of design if thats what your looking for? if so ill get you a pic up on here asap! lemme no!
  4. hey there fellow shee lovers, just wondering what exactly a TORS setup is and what it will do for me? if its a twist throttle i dont want it..... thanks!
  5. ok sounds good, so how about some yfz450 shocks in the front along with some +2 a arms, dual 35s, and a new clutch with hd springs from JEFF at FAST??? thanks guys
  6. sounds good im still looking into some suspension componets n what not. how hard is it going to be to do yfz450 shocks on the front? with the grinding and everything? im going to be doing a new chain and possibly sprockets soon with a barnett hd clutch...
  7. trail riding and just all around messing around, adrenaline on wheels! haha and my mods are in my sig, im thinkin of a two into one instead of dual 35s? how much will i be spending for a 4 mill crank. and i can spend basically what i want i mean nothing too insane but prolly in the 500-600 dollar range.i want pure performance. enough to make me pretty untouchable by some competive quads, what would be the biggest improvement above porting.
  8. hey guys i was just wanting some advice from you guys on what i should get next? i was told a 2 into 1 carb.... then what? whats the next/best bigggest bang for my buck? what would i do to get the most out of it next? thanks!
  9. yes thinner will get some lil crap thats built up like that, for old stickers or old glue or anything use thinner or goof off.
  10. a buddy. no better of a tool right there. i did it myself and took about 2 hours n was extremly hard and still have some wrinkles on it and a tiny rip get a buddy
  11. oic well i was not aware of mothers having a new product cuz i bought my last 2 big jugs of the polish a while ago n havent went out to get some more yet. but im sure it is better and what not. but idk about wd40 on the pipes cuz when u start it up and they get hot then the wd can react to that and create a nasty smoke... anyone else wanna chime in on the smoke portion please do
  12. yea i will have to check the compression out again when i get my fresh 110 in and with my sea level area, idk how high he raised the port, but actualley it bangs out nicely right in the powerband and before it, it hits them fmfs nicely and could it be because its not completly broke in, new rings and new ports? thanks guys
  13. i have the blue and grey ones for my blue shee and it looks really nice.
  14. for rusted parts i would use lime a way or some kind of rust remover. on aluminum parts i would use a buffer/buff ball/elbow grease with some mothers mag/aluminum polish. shines nicely. for chrome wheels and pipes sos pads with mothers polish is priceless.
  15. first off if you use plastic renew make sure you read the directions right and if you do that that system works very very very very well. it took alot of deep scratches out of my plastics then i lost the pack some how so now its not very full of scratches, and once i got the scratches out i used high quality platinum tire gel from target for like 8 bucks a bottle and put a little bit on a nice terry cloth and rub that stuff in nicely, no need to use sparingly, use that stuff man, with a terry, elbow grease shee will be shining like no other. freshly sanded plastics+tire gel= HELL YEA! haha well thats my 2 cents. n o ya the tire gel also helps repel water and what not, it just beads off.
  16. alright i will do that as soon as i have the chance. thanks guys.
  17. alright sounds good. he might have. would he have done that for my pipes?(fmf fattys with PC2)... he ported it according to my pipes.
  18. no offense taken man, but if u full out drag ported it wouldnt u have to rebuild quite often? i got it back today with those mods and its really nice, i love it, pulls so hard and im not even on it cuz im breaking it in... but i ended up paying 400 for parts cuz rings for each side were 40 n that hurt me and the advanced timing bumped it up n what not... but he gave me a hell of a deal on the port n polish. he originally said 450-500 but i walked out paying him 280. nothing but good from PAUL-LAKE MINNETONKA MOTORSPORTS MINNESOTA GUYS!
  19. hey guys just got off the hotline with my builder who just got done with my shee today and he said compression is sitting at 150 each side, with 18cc domes, sound right? he is at Lake Minnetonka/spring park MN, im not aware of the sea level there.... but that sound like its in the right ball park
  20. hello to anyone still watching this post, i just got off the phone with my builder, and he says with the new advanced timing, cool head with 18cc domes, 100 oct. in it, reed spacers, fresh rings, and original jets, it just takes off like a rocket and really rips thru the pipes nicely. here is his pricing for everything. tell me what you think full port and polish-350 parts (advanced timing, new rings for each side, reed spacers) 150 and labor for everything-150 so im lookin a nice chunk of 650 for everything including engine tear down and jetting and tuning and installation of every part and gaskets n coolant, oil, 100 oct, stuff like that, and port and polish. i told him i only have around 600 for now and he said yea thats fine we can work with it a bit. sound like a good deal? Flanny
  21. yea i know you have to have it tuned in very well, thats why ive been waiting to have it jetted n tuned just right, its the MN weather gotta love it, one day 80, another 17 n snow, haha but we are getting very lucky and having a very nice streak of 60+ weather! im located in the new prague or prior lake area, and it has more of a MX port job but a lil bit on the conservative side so i dont have to rebuild very often... thanks guys
  22. just a mild port job, but with quite a bit of snap on low to mid, n conservative so its still reliable. thanks.
  23. hey guys, i am patiently waiting for the shee to come back hopefully this weekend, damn MN weather! but anyways i was just wondering if anyone on here can tell me what kind of power i shud be feeling when it comes back? my mods that r done right now r in my sig n when it comes back it will have the port n polish done, cool head with 18cc domes n 110 oct, new jets n jetted perfectly, reed spacers, new rings in piston, +4 timing, completely cleaned out carbs n floats n what not run thru n cleaned, shud be really nice and fresh. thanks! ps what difference will i tell with these mods done compared to the other mods ive done? thanks
  24. ya i know what ya mean i rode his also with full jets n exhaust n the only half way interesting gear was 1st, cuz it pulled up when it wanted to, its very very boring in the rest of the gears tho.
  25. haha ok thanks guys, and i will, were up here in the PL area kinda... just waiting for my bike to get done getting jetted, waiting for that golden weather so we can get it up nicely! haha i should be able to smoke him, i put fresh rings in it and reed spacers, prolly 171 compression ish, on that 110.. aka liquid gold.
