  1. Can I get some larger pics please to kevin.mk86@gmail.com
  2. I didn't have time to look through the whole thread while I'm at work, but can someone tell me the exact date that was chosen for this? I saw on the first page either the weekend of the 15th or 22nd. Thanks
  3. Lid is off air box. Thanks for the info..Where's the best place to purchase some jets..?
  4. Can't wait to see it.. Those wheels looks awesome..
  5. Damn it looks really good already..
  6. Alright guys now that I got it running and broke in last night. I'm looking to see where I should go with my carb jetting. Bike has t5 pipes, adj. timing plate(+4), pro design air filter setup, and a .040 over fordged piston kit. Everything else is stock. I believe the current jetting is stock. Do I need to rejet? If so what would be a good choice..? Thanks Kevin
  7. Well sure enough, swapped stators last night with one of a running banshee, started first kick..now to just break it in and have some fun..Thanks for everyone input..
  8. Well the reason for checking the stator will be because on a 250r my brother had, he would get spark and it would test good, but just wouldn't fire the motor, swapped it with another stator and it fired right up. I'm pretty sure it's either the stator or something in my wiring harness. The tors boxes are still on the bike, but has be over ridden. The reed cages looked good, and have new boysen reeds. Hopefully I will figure something out this evening..
  9. Haven't really tried starting fluid for that reason. Haven't checked the pick up coil gap. Will check that tomorrow, and will also be trying a stator off a running banshee. And yes sure its +4..
  10. Rings are installed properly. Compression when I checked it earlier was 120-130 on both sides.
  11. That sucks man, but mine won't start at all..
  12. Ok they're in correct then. Anyone else have any ideas? I tried my cdi box on another running banshee and it started with my box so that should eliminate that as being an issue.
  13. I believe I have them installed correctly. But just to make sure which way should the half moon cut at the bottom of the slide be facing? Towards to motor or towards the air box?
  14. I knew I forgot to put some info in the first post. Yes choke tube is installed. I pulled the flywheel off to check the key, all good there. The pick up coil seems a little worn but tried the top of a spark plug box like some say to try and it seems ok. Haven't pressure tested for any leaks, but if there was a leak wouldn't the compression be down? Have went through and cleaned the carbs, floats are installed and adjusted properly, jetting is the same. What are you meaning by ohm plug caps?
  15. Alright guys I'm about my whits end. I'll start with some details. 00' Banshee new pistons and rings, adjustable timing plate(+4), and toomy pipes, stock everything else. I've got it back together and just can not get it to start. I have tried just about everything I can think of. I'm getting fuel, spark, and have good compression. Have tried two different cdi boxes, and stator ohms as good. It seems to fire every few kicks, smokes and even smells like it wants to start, but nothing. Is it possible for a stator to test good but not be enough to fire the bike. It has backfired twice while trying to start making me think something with timing maybe? Have tried kicking and pulling both to start but no luck. Does anyone have any ideas at all? This is driving me crazy.. Thanks in advance guys Kevin
  16. Nope not the piston seal. But luckily I took a trip over to my local atv shop in the hopes to find a used caliper or pin boot. And come to find out Honda actually sells replacement boots that are the same as the Yamaha. Still makes no sense to me why they wouldn't sell them. Oh well found what I needed. In case anyone else needs these here's the part #'s 45133-166-016 & 45132-166-016.
  17. I tried doing a search but couldn't really come up with anything. I have a 00' banshee, picked it up for $600, project, going back together with it now and I was changing the brakes last night and ran into a problem with the front right hand caliper. The sliding pin for the caliper that connects it to the mounting bracket was seized up not allowing the wheel to spin freely. No big deal except on further inspection and taking it apart, I find that the rubber boots are dry rotted and trash, which would have been what lead to this problem. According to the manual Yamaha doesn't sell these parts I'm needing. Anyone have any idea where I can find them. I will try to get pics up in a bit. Thanks
