  1. been a while since i've been on here, i did a search and didn't find much and what i did find was a few years ago. i live in santa cruz ca. use to riding clear creek, hollister etc. i'm probally moving to new england for business offer in a couple months. haven't been there in 10-12 years 2 spots i'll be living worcester area , mass and sanford / alfred ( estes lake) southern maine. can anybody give me links to specific riding area's with size of area and style riding looking for some hillclimbing and tougher trails. and i'm use to driving 2-3 hrs for the good stuff ,so that should open up a good portion of new england thanks in advance
  2. QUOTE(Climb Any Hill You Point At! @ Mar 10 2007, 11:31 PM) Never been there but thought the temp at night is around 50 degrees? Furthest I've been is north is San Francisco & too damn cold for me.. san fran is generally foggy and cold period i was out riding hollister last sunday i swear it was 90 1st time in a while i could ride in just a t shirt.... hell i was riding in snow flurries sunday b4 last out at clear creek i'm 2 blocks from the ocean , in santa cruz and its 80 and it will go down 2 50 2nite any thing on the ocean usually goes dwn to 55-60 at nite ...natural a/c
  3. get both if you own the banshee outright ..keep it find a used street bike from a private party 4 good deal and go talk to local credit union they got good rates 4 something a couple years old stay away from the stealerships! and don't go crazy on price in case u don't end up getting into street as much i've had both street is awsome long all day cruises down winding backroads not to mention ..140 hp strapped btween your thighs but can be dangerous as well..people are in way to much of a rush these days and just do not look 4 bikes my street riding and fzr1000 came to an end a couple years ago when a toyt p/up pulled in front of me while i was doing 50-60...broadside...5 full somersaults through the air and pogo off my knees back will never be the same ..but i'm alive b4 that it was pretty much an every other day event with assholes almost running me down ..not looking out 4 bikes the guy that drives truck 4 me..sitting at a stop light on his harley..gets rearend by a chick who never even looked up or hit the brakes..slams him at 50..sent up and over the back of her car laying in the street...she had no insurance either! his back is f'ed up..10-16 cortezone shots every 4-6 month in his spine i've also seen a few of my buddies die on street it's a reality at least with the banshee there is only a couple variables ..unlike street and not to many people die riding quad/dirtbike and as far as places to ride it...i have to drive 45 mins 4 hollister after that then i go 2-3 hrs 4 riding...well worth it like said above...when riding ur limited with what u can bring and do..no coffee, ciggys,or luggage i grew up/rode in mass your also limited in riding weather and seasons...thats the main reason i moved out to california out here you can get up and go ride all day with out worry of the sun dissapearing..pretty much 10 months a year back east was 5-6 good months more if your a diehard the get up and leave while its sunny & 80 and 1/2 way thru day (usually about an 1 hr b4 your getting out of work) its black and pouring/thunder and lightning and parked under an overpass an hr from home sorry for the ramble.. which ever way you go ....goodluck and just make sure you think every thing out b4 you rush into something .......don't sell the banshee
  4. on the idle screws i had to file/grind a good amount off the side of the body in order for the screws to actually affect the idle. not just file the angle flush i believe it was a measurement of 3/4" from inside bore to jamb nut surface if u go to toomey web site on home page ..scroll to bottom and click on tech documents it will have the instruction for idle screws you probally don't have enough material taken off 4 the idle screws to affect idle
  5. when you go to check out on ebay it makes you log on to ur paypal account. once ur logged on and go to payment page it will give you the option to send money from whichever..checking , credit card , paypal account , whatever you have entered as payment options if you never used that credit card b4 u need to input it on ur account and i think it verifies it b4 u can use it
