I just got my motor back together. And now I'm at the jetting, and need a place to start. elevation-350ft 4mill stroker cut 20 cc domes in a cool head(thinking about 19cc) 4+ timing pj 34 carbs(just bought them) Anyone know where I can get the trottle cable k&n Pod filters toomey t5's Stock stroke cylinder porting(not very aggressive) Will my port timing be off without using the plate, since my cylinders were already ported before the 4mm? Any Idea's on were I should start with the jetting?

So I looked at the case today and there is a crack right were the cases split in one of the empty chambers that support the motor mount. My question is since the crack is to an empty chamber will anything happen if I put the cases back together. All I can see happening is a little oil squeezes through and pooles up in the chamber. Or do I need new cases? I don't think I can get down in there to weld it but I don't knoe if it will cause problems in the future.? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!!!

See that is the question I have been torn against. Somebody says the porting won't work and some say just get the domes for now. My problem is that there are no real bashee builders here in Southeast Missouri that I know of. Seems like everybody knows a good ole boy that has a very fast banshee, but a stock banshee is fast to what most of these farmers ride.

So since my cylinders are ported already for the stock stroke, I don't have to run the plate? I can just run the stroker domes in my coolhead, correct? But I could get even more power with stroker ported cylinders? I'm going to have to keep my stock cylinders for a little while so I will get the cut domes and not run the plate with my stock stroke ported cylinders. Is that the best way to go? Either way I will have to keep the stock cylinders and stock carbs(for now). Will this still be a good power increase over stock, without the stroker cylinders and stock carbs? Or will it be running like poo.

So what is the deal. Is the space plate or the stroker domes better? It would seem to me that they are both the same. Do people tend to have problems with the spacer plate? People say the cut domes are better, but why? If your cylinders are ported for the stock stroke, I would think that you could use them if you used the spacer plate. Is that true? I just don't understand the difference. It seems like they both do the same thing. I am also running stock carbs I will replace them later. How much more fuel does the stroker kit need? Will I damage any thing if I use the stockers?

So the cranks breaking has been because they have shity welds. So if I run the spacer plate on the 4mm will I have to get the cylinders ported still. Can I get them ported later and still ride it.

Okay I got the bad news today. I broke a rod and it messed up the crank. So I am going to have to start from scratch. Well I called Hot Rods today and I am going to go with the 4mm stroker. I heard that these cranks break alot, is there any truth to that. Does anyone sell a 4mm kit with pistons and everything? I run a coolhead with 20cc domes, the guy from HotRods said that I will have to chamber the head. What does that mean? What will I have to do with my cylinders, will I have to have them ported? If I don't have them ported will it damage anything untill I have them ported. Jeff (F.A.S.T) is really swamped right now, I wanted to send him my cylinders and ride on the ones I have. Also what is this squish that everyone is talking about? Sorry about all the questions but I really need to know this thing inside and out. Any help is greatly appreciated.

So will the decrease in dome size give me worth while increase in hp or should I wait and put on the adjustable timing plate?
-
Okay so I'm not in need of any cylinders yet. Is it the general consensus that the 20cc dome is about lowest I should go?
-
I don't mind running race fuel but am I going to get a hp increase worth the hassle. My cylinder is bored to .020 right now. They were saying the next size up from where I am now is .20. Basicly they were saying that the .020 was a mistake. I suppose it would be on the piston but I couldn't read it.

I locked up my motor the other day and decided to take the motor out. So I took off the left side exhaust and...metal shavings poured out. So I finally got the motor out and took the cool head off and come to see that the pistons were still together. The right cylinder seemed fine but the left seems like pretty bad at the top. I didn't take off the cylinders because I couldn't break the piston loose. So took it to the shop. It seems that the piston seized in the cylinder. I just hope the crank isn't broken. The guy that I bought the bike from said that the bore was .020. Is that a bore? The guy at the shop said that I could only bore one more time, is that true? I thought the bore last bore was .20. I wanted to get the HP wiseco piston kit to rebuild the top end. Are those the best piston or are there better ones? What type of piston do you guys run? In my cool head I run 20cc domes. If I go to let's say 19cc domes that should up my compression, right? Will that hurt anything? When I drained the oil I didn't find any metal flakes, so I guess that is a good thing. Thanks for any help

Just asking if the 4mm stroker was good or not, and if it is good for trail riding or just the drags. Just looking for input on what would be the best set up for me.

So I blew up the banshee today. My cousin started her and she purred her two-cycle crackel. Then I went into the house and let him ride her for a little while. I came back to see him pushing her back into the yard. So I ran out to see if it would start and damn near broke my ankle. It wouldn't budge. I didn't try too hard 'cause I was scared to break something. But it was enough pressure to see that it wasn't going to move. So on to future plans... 60% of my riding is in sand and wide open on country roads other 40% I don't know what will be the best setup for me. I would like to get a 4mm stroker but I don't know what the hell I'm talking about. Any help will be greatly appreciated. But at the time it seems like I got a expensive paper weight. I heard that the 4mm stroker was not dependable though. Dependablity is very important but kicking 450 ass is even more important. Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You know what you are right. I just hate when I'm on fourms for help and people like that don't help they just say off the wall crap. You are right that was immature. I think I will delete it.

Okay this is the thing. My banshee wasn't in the best of shape when I raced this honda 450rwith HRC kit. He beat me pretty bad. Then I got a new clutch and reeds.(stock gearing). Well we decided to go play in the sand. They bolted up their ITP sand sharks and i bolted on my 4-snows. Well I tore them a new ass hole. They couldn't touch me. It felt so good, because they were kickin' my ass in the woods. But they said it was because the tires swell up like at higher speeds for more top-end. I know those tires are pretty good but do they really make that much difference in a race compared to pure sand paddles.

Did you just buy that bike? 'Cause all that stuff in your sig and you don't know what exhaust to run I like the t5's myself.
-
I raced a kfx at St. Joes in MO. I heard he had work done but he was unbeatable out there on sand. Yamaha 450's, Honda 450r's suzuki 450's banshee, others beside myself( I don't know if my bike is running like a banshee should or not) but he was very fast next was the yamaha 450 then me

My Bike must not be set up right! It seems they are right there with me.
-
So I finally got a banshee, and it doesn't have an air box. It just has two K&N airfilters on the stock carbs. Is that normal? And when I bought it the guy told me that I need bigger carbs. The ones on the bike are stock. Should I step up and get bigger carbs with the mods in the sig or will stock do? And final question would it be a good idea to go to a smaller dome.

It seems that everyone can just run off and leave these new 450's on this board. When i raced them be when I first got my bike a 450r with the hrc kit kicked my ass....Baddd. That was on the drag strip. So I spent a little money got new clutches and new reeds(vf3's). And I finally got my chance to prove myself and my bike. So me and the two 450's both with the hrc kits head to ST. Joes (MO.) to do some riding. So we hit the trails. I'm not that experenced of a trail rider but damn I just couldn't keep up with them. It seemed like they were just easing up the hill and I was struggling to make it up. Some hills my motor would almost stall. But then we hit the sand, what a glorious day it was. They mounted up their sand sharks and I was the odd man out with the 4-SNOWS. I was kicking there ass all over the place, and they had all out paddles. Both of these bikes are stock except for the honda hrc kit on both of them. I still haven't raced them on the strip but I'm so curious to see how it will pan out.
