  1. Okay, my throttle cable that came with the tors eliminator kit was really stiff, so we started looking at that. took the carbs apart and cleaned them...Still stiff. Then we tried cuttin the spring...Still stiff ran like shit. Then we swaped the slides out of another parts banshee and it started and idled really high like it was about to blow. So we adjusted the idle adjustment...and she purred like a kitten. So the saga is over it runs like a bat out of hell now. My partners were all making fun of me talking bout how 2 strokes suck and should have bought a honda 450r now they are shaking. It feels so strong on stock timing, I don't know how it's going to act after I bump the timing to +4. Thanks guys for the help.

  3. I just got my motor back together for the second time, and I got a pro design timing plate. I want was told that my advancing the timing would take away from my top end and just add bottom. Is this true? Mod's in sig.
  4. I think my problem is that my bike is running too rich. because it was jetted for the pods and now I have the the K&N box in there. I'm going to start from there.
  5. Wow I didn't know that. The guy that rebuilt the motor said that it needed to be rich to help seat the rings. Is that not true? It also did run alot better with the lid off, so that means that it is too rich? Okay, I will check those slides also.
  6. Thanks for the help, but i think I posted this in the wrong forum.
  7. Okay I went for a ride yesterday to break in the new motor. I noticed that I had no power, I mean no power on the bottom side. It was breaking up really bad until I hit the powerband. So we get to the sand pit and I change my plugs because of the break in oil. Now I still have no power. I still have my stock carbs on but I added the tors eliminator kit, and K&N Intake box where I use to have the k&N pod filters. I took off the top off the box and my seat and it ran alot better but still no power on the low to mid range it has power on the top but it still breakes up on the top. This is the worse part. I noticed that the left side wasn't firing so I would rev it a little to see if I could get the left side to come online. It would start reving out of control, I would have to shut it off before it blew. I don't know what to do. Where should I start? What should my jetting be with my mods. My elevation is 328 ft.

  9. Thanks for the useful info. Use search needed a straight answer. Too much crap popped up so I asked, thanks again for the info. And since we are going to make this a thread about searching, Half the time search doesn't work is that my computer or what?
  10. Is it best to break in a fresh rebuild on stock timing or +4? When I say rebuild I mean, new crank, rods, pistons. My mods are in my sig.
  11. I run the t-5 and from what I get from this fourm is that tomey is one of the best for banshee's. But I don't know anything about the t-4's. Give them a shot. Like fouledout said got to be better than stock
  12. Man, you can do it with out getting a stroker. I killed 440's with my banshee with horrible portwork. Get the timing plate get a cool head with 20cc domes, vf3's and a good port you will murder him.
  13. Yea, you give me what I need to run single carb and I will give you what you need to run dual.
  14. I have two pj34 carbs I am willing trade for the single carb set up
  15. I'm in Sikeston Missouri, 63801. So I guess that I will look for some stock port jugs.
  16. Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I got some pics of the carnage as somone put it. Take a look:
  17. So I took a look at my cylinders and decided that I wanted to get some portwork done. I took the my cylinders up to this local shop in sikeston mo called C&C owned by Billy Clayton they do a lot of flat track racing and have some pretty decent 250r's up there. So I asked him to do my porting. No prob he says. He wanted 350 for the aggressive dune port. Okay. I go and three days later to pick them up and I was speechless. I these things looked like a 3yr old got a dremel for christmas and jammed it inside my cylinders. They look like $hit. I grabbed my cylinders and walked out. I am so steamed. Now here I sit with two chewed up cylinders wondering if they can be cleaned up with out damaging them. Does anybody do that? C&C of Sikeston Mo, Billy Clayton owner sucks giant pig balls!!!
  18. I guess it would have been way to hard to get a connector for the ground, instead of wrapping the wire around the bolt. What a hack job. Just as bad a hack job as the guy that ported my cylinders. No thanks!!! Tape looks like some rigged up walmart brand cd player install.
  19. There is a black banshee on the Bansheehq page. On the the page it says any hill, trail time. It looks like he as stock pipes but custom tips. Does anyone know who, or what kind of pipes those are? I like the tips. I was thinking about goint to my local exhaust shop and buying the tips and fabing some myself. Anybody ever done this?
  20. Thanks for all the input. You guys are really helpful.
  21. This is not a lets see who is the better builder thread. That is the reason I asked about FLOTek, not who is better than flotek. I was hoping to hear some reviews about flotek that is why I asked about...FLotek. It seems that I am not the only one that didn't know about them. And thanks for the info jbooker82!
