  1. So what size jets did you run in it? What needle?

You have to be the first person I have ever heard say "It sucked to jet a 2 into 1 carb". My 21 year old girl cousin who has a banshee can jet her 2 into 1 carb. Thats how easy it is.

About 90% of the 2 into 1 setups I come across, have the wrong needle in them. In turn they run like shit. Convince yours didn't have the wrong size needle or main jet in it! Top end loss in my experience is minimal and almost un-noticable, we use pipes that sign off at 8200-9000 rpm too. I ride holes, climb dunes, and even drag race with my 2 into 1 carb. Not only that, I ride with about 6 other people that run that intake setup, and they love it. We even have a guy with a 7mm 460cc cheetah motor that puts out 92 hp on a 2 into 1 setup with a 38mm lectron on it. So plead your case and prove me wrong.

Well man maybe I'm just a shitty jettier, but i could never get mine to run right. I got these Keihin carbs now and had no problem jetting them so I don't know.

  2. What is the 1/2" diameter machined hole that is above the kick start shaft that leads into the crankcase? On mine, the hole is about 1/2 to 3/4 in deep. I have attached a picture which shows the one I'm worried about. It looks like it's open to the crankcase. Maybe the casting blew out in the bottom of the hole? I took the cover off to replace the clutch and found some loose metal parts which were all bent up in the bottom of the case. I'm trying to figure out where the parts came from and while looking around I found the hole in question. There's some jagged edges down in the bottom of the hole and I looks like something broke in there. The bike runs fine. I think maybe the last guy to own the bike must have left something in the case when he replaced the clutch.

    Any help would be appreciated.

All i can say is that hole is sopost to be there. now the metal chucks arnt. i don't know why they are there.

  3. Anybody that has a problem with how he spells anything can eat shit. So what, he isnt a great speller. How would this spurdy guy feel if we all made remarks about any imperfections he has in his life. Drop it, it doesnt matter, we are all on here to chat about bikes and such, not having a fucking spelling bee.

Thanks Kiel, according to some people this is like grammar and spelling hq not bansheehq. Every one knows what I'm talking about, its not like I'm talking in French or something.

"Come on man. i know your only 15 but wood is a piece of a tree. Would, is the correct spelling for an adverb. Skruw is not a word in any sence. It is screw. As in screw to tighten or screw a women. You sound like an idiot. I don't want to call you out in front of everyone, or anything like that but try a little common sense and use spell check. PMs go around like crazy when you post. Just a little friendly FYI if you know what I mean.

    SP"

The two things I highlighted in red burns my ass..

If PM's go around like crazy when he talks because of a few misspelled words then the people involved are some childish fools.. "oh guys, he misspelled though wrong" Get a life and some class..

I can tell you one thing.. Eddy is a damn honest and up front guy.. I delt with him when he purchased one of my vids.. He did what he said he would do and was a plesure to deal with.. I can see where Greg is coming from and agree.. Thats good to see people who legitimately care and want to help.. Aside from that leave Eddy alone... He has come a long way and more importantly he is a stand up "kid"...

    RIPPEN

Hey thanks RIPPEN I thy to be nice to people and not make them fell bad, I like to tell the truth even if i cant spell it.

  4. Hey Eddy, Your a good kid. You have drastically improved your spelling since you have started, keep up the good work. Just ignore the negetive things some people may say to you and don't let them get you down, because no matter where you go, there is gonna be assholes out there.

I can guarantee you Eddy that for all the people that have given you a hard time about your spelling, there is at least one or several things that they suck at really bad that most of us don't know about or point out in front of everybody to try and make them look stupid.

    Mike

Thanks Mike, i thought i had gotten a lot better at spelling sense i became a member. Then there are the people that its never good enuf for them. I from to spelling 8 or 10 words wrong to maybe 1 or 2.

  5. whoever Spurdy is.. hes a fuckin queer...and yea like the guy above me said, get "firefox" ...its like an internet browser thing, my bro put it on here a while back, it underlines all the miss spelled words in red as you type, then you can correct them and remember how they were spelled, i still come across words all the time that i cant spell and wouldnt even know it if it wasnt for this firefox thing here.. anyway just delete the dumb asses PM and ignore people like that.. im sure he is perfect and never makes a mistake, wouldnt it be nice to be perfect?

Well i do have fire fox but if you try to spell screw skru it won't help you. It dos help for a lot of other things, like just know typing i spelled "other" with out a o. so it dos help like that.

  6. do you really have that hard of a time spelling? if so man at 15 you should be trying to get help! you should be well past that at your age. talk to your school counselor to get help. your going to kill your self in college.

ya i do suck at spelling! I don't know what to do about it tho. Since I started BansheeHQ i have gotten a lot better.

  8. im not sure of the max RPM the banshee motor is capable of withstanding but i raced gokarts and we had 2stroke KT100 single cylinder motors that would hit 14-15k on the big nascar tracks allday long. im sure that a banshee motor could with stand at least that much

edit: of course thats assuming you weld the crank and have quality bearings

I'm sure you could pull that out of a shee if you tried hard.

my shee with a FAST aggressive dune port, T5's, 160psi compression, +5 timing, and 30mm carbs hit 10,700 on the dyno doin 4th gear pulls. usable power went up to about 10,400-10,500ish, really fell off hard after that.

Ok sounds about right, i always thought thay ran about 12,000-13,000 tho

    Thanks

  9. so like right before it throws a rod or a piston melts? whats the point? i don't think theres a rev limiter on a shee' and if there is i've never needed it. i guess the sky's the limit. find a dyno sheet for a shee thats been drag ported with an out of frame pipe like rdz's, GRR's or oof shearers and look at the over rev. i guess it all depends on how well the crank is balanced and how high the pipe will let the engine rev. my guess is that you'd probably squeak a piston first before a rod or crank failed. the rpms where the engine blew would vary depending upon the machine and engine mods. come to think of it, this is a really pointless question.:wacko:

Sorry i dint mean to piss you off. and you are right a banshee don't have a rev limiter, on a 2 stroke the pipes determine the top rev of a bike. I was just wanted to know what thay revved at.

Ok new question what is top power band rpm's like wen your going down the rode or something?

    Thanks

  10. has anyone ever heard their reeds making noise...i'm hearing , like a plastic flapping sound and i cant tell where exactly it's coming from ? the sound gets very faint after an idleing warm up.and the reeds have been in for a season and a half .just boyesen power reeds .

Last time and the only time i ever heard the reeds making noise i had one that had rattled loose. So i wood pull your reeds and cheack to see if one is loose. if thy are pull the skrus out and put some tread lock on them then tighten them up.

  11. i just want to know what is the top amount of RPM's you can get from a banshee? i have heard like 12,000 and 15,000 so i just wanna know. I know a set of drag pipes like CPI's will rev higher than some thing line fmf pipes. Also I think carbs will raise/lower RPM's. So i just want the max you can get out of a banshee.

    Thanks

  12. you took ATF... OUT... of the bike? or are you putting it in and found alum. in your old oil...??? oh I getcha now... your ATF came out dark and.... yup gotcha

Anywho,... I was going to say that ATF is a good choice for gearboxes or chaincases because it's not overly thick in it's cold state. Leaving most of the shavings and filings from normal wear at the bottom of the case. Oil has a tendancy to pull alot of that shit into suspension and turn your lubricant into lapping compound (not literally).

i would say if the shavings aren't to numerous then it's normal to see all the crap that was floating around the inside of the engine sitting on the bottom after swapping to a lighter grade lube such as ATF.

Further more ATF is acidic, meaning it also cleans the inside of any impurities. It also is a rust inhibitor on top of all that.

And it does a good job of getting into the plates when pulling the clutch in. leaving you with a smooth shift

For my chaincase in the ol' skidoo 670.... I only recommend ATF!!!

BTW.... NEVER use lucas oil additive in your lower case! It will ruin your clutch pack. My fibers started de-lamming!

Hey thanks that makes since to me now. that makes a lot of since.

    Thanks

  13. Well i just switched to ATF type F. I changed it tonight and it came out really dark and somewhat purple. also i pulled my clutch cover off and their was aluminum shavings all over (at least I think it is aluminum). What wood cause this? It Did shift really nice to witch is not normal!

    Thanks
