  1. It may have had a miss on top end yesterday but it still beat a YFZ 450!
  2. OK first of all, you know you should not have been riding on the streets (even though we all have done it), so man up and take your lick on that, now with that said with the insurance thing that was kinda dick of him on that part. As far as a lawyer dont waist your money on it for something as pety as this BS, now I can speak on this matter because lets just say I have experience in this "field". If you go to the District Attourney or city prosecuter or whoever it is in this case and speak with them about it alot of times they will work out some sort of plea deal to where it wont cost you the whole amount and wont go on your record, trust me they will do everything they can not to take you to trial on this, it is a complete waist of thier time, and the judges time. (unless you are a complete shit bag with a record) In most cases they will accept only one of the charges and use the other as a barganing tool to make a deal, get their money and be done with it because they have bigger fish to fry. As far as you hoping the cop does not show up, that is BS because a cop does not have to be their for youre arraingment only in the event of a trial will he or she be ordered to appear. But like I said before just go and speak with them before entering any plea of guilty and they will usually try and work something out for you, but if you just go in and plea guilty you will be ordered to pay the manditory fines and the shit will go on your record.Just remember that when you speak with them not to be a smart ass and just be strait up with them and that alone will go a long way.
  3. My banshee is an 87, its like it was said before the only issue you may have is suspension, and those damn J-arms, however almost everything else is the same on all year banshees. You could always if you seen fit but an A-arm frame and switch everything out. For me the J arm works fine, however I don't really do a lot of MX riding I mainly ride sand, dirt, and trail riding. I have found that the Banshee is very easy to work on using this site and a clymers manual. Between the two I think anyone with a little bit of mechanical skills can fix just about whatever comes along. As for me I have been very pleased with my "20 year old quad" and have beat almost any "new quad" that has come along!
  4. Hey man I Live in Houma and go to the spillway all the time hit me up!
  5. I will be planning a trip to the Forest Hill area which is about a four hour drive for me, and was wanting alittle input as to which place is better to go La dunes, Camp Claiborne, or Camp Livingston, I've heard good and bad about all but before I make the drive out there would like to have a good idea as to what is the better place to go. Any input will be helpful!
  6. Well I can't say I think very highly of the guy I talked to from Vito's either, however their parts are okay, but the advise they give I later learned was a bunch of crap, In my opinion any questions you have post on here and someone will answer it for you, and it'll be right, and also talk to Jeff at F.A.S.T. the guy knows what he is talking about and can get you any parts you need, and you can call him anytime and he will help you with any problems you may have.
  7. I spent an hour cursing and getting mad, and decided that I would bring it to an upholstrey shop, It cost me 20 bucks and it was done in one hour, and came out great, well worth my 20 bucks. In my opinion it is a big pain in the ass and not worth the hassle!
  8. If you are in need of a frame you should check out the for sale section of HQ, I have seen frames on there from time to time, you should even put an ad out that you are looking for one , surely some will make you a better deal that getting raped by a dealership!
  9. Try using an impact screwdriver on it that should get it right out.
  10. I run 270 mains with 27.5 pilots and needle on middle clip on my .60 over stock motor with pipes, airbox with no lid but I am at 0 elevation, you should for sure do a plug chop that way you know for sure, but that seems like it would be a bit rich IMO.
  11. Let me know if youre interested in it, I'll make you the same deal, if not it will probably sit in my shed collecting dust forever, till my wife throws it out!
  12. I have a red and black FMF seat cover that I just pulled off, but still in good shape, I can e-mail pics if you want I'll give it to you for 10 bucks plus shipping
  13. I sent you an e-mail. I am having trouble posting pics on here for some reason.
  14. I heard you say something about a different seat cover for your bike, I have an FMF red white and black seat cover that I just took off of my shee, still in good shape but I'm changing my bike around a bit. I have no use for it and if you would like I'll e-mail you pics of it if interested I'll give it to you for the shipping! Just let me know..
  15. Yea spillway will be closed untill mid march from the last I was told by the Army Corps of Engineers. It flooded really bad when they opened the gates, and they are repairing the trails in atv area 1 and area 2. If you go to the south louisiana trail blazers web site they give you good updates on it. I live in Houma, what about you?
  16. OK So I have been hearing alot about the La Dunes, I live about 4 hours from them but have not been there yet.. but would like to go soon.... What is this place like and is it worth the drive for me is it open year round.. I usually ride at the spillway and with it being closed right now I have no place to ride!!
  17. I ordered a sync tool and other goodies for my bike with Jeff at F.A.S.T. It got to me in 3 days, he was super helpfull when I called he talked me through on how to use it and gave me many tips as to what to do to my beast next, as many of you already know he is always willing to help you and has just about anything you could dream of in stock! He defintely goes out of his way to help you and get you what you need! Thanks again Jeff
  18. I am in the process of painting with fusion paint, but I was wondering if anyone has tried any type of clearcoat after painting and what kind would be best?? and what kind of results??
  19. WOW !!! After looking at the slides on my carbs, I learned they were mixed up!!! I switched them around and WOW!! It is now running great, and I was easily able to get the jetting right on it (checked it with a plug chop) Thank you all for the great advice  Good luck tealvitt I'll keep checking in on you.
  20. I am having the same problem with my banshee. Like you I have re-sealed the entire engine, new rings, have got good compression and am currently working on getting the jetting right, however mine is doing the same thing, I heard someone mention something about the carb pistons being in mixed up will this cause it to be very difficult to get jetted right, I got the bike about 6 months ago and cant seem to get it right, and how do i tell what side is supposed to be where is it marked??
  21. O.K. I did forget to mention that I have removed the lid from the air box and I have an aftermarket filter. Since posting this I have tore the carbs completly down and cleaned them leaving the 30 pilots and the 270 mains. at full throttle the bike runs great screaming through all 6 gears, but low range rpm's like idle through say 1/2 throttle in runs rough, however both cylinders are firing great that problem is now gone. The only reason I went with the 30 pilots and 290 mains was because thats what the guy at Vito's told me would work best with what I have. Now that my mains are good I think I will try going to a 27.5 pilots like you guys are saying to and I have also ordered a carb sync tool from F.A.S.T. ( These guys seem to be very helpfull and know their stuff about the almighty banshees). Let me know what you guys think!! and thanks for all of your input once again you guys are great!
  22. Yes I Am
  23. I can run the VIN for you. e-mail it to me and i'll run it and e-mail you with the results. [email protected]
  24. well i tore the carbs down again and everything looked ok, so i went down to a 270 main jet and the problem corrected. now i just have to adjust the carbs correctly and i think i'll have it.
