also is it worth to get the shocks with the reservoirs???? what does it do? Im just learning about all this and dont want to by the wrong thing......

well after a day of riding , the shee was faster.... But im not going to lie, it was closer than i thought. From a dig i would not pull untill about 4th gear. Then i would pass him. But in the woods his suspension was so much better he was gone. I guesss ill be upgrading soon.........

thanks for all the replies guys. I just got back from riding to day and we did a lot of trail riding. Which i like the most. And wow i believe this is the worst suspension bike i have ever ridden. But its also the funniest bike as well. If that makes sense. So hopefully in the next week or 2 im going to order new suspension. Now its going to cost some money, so will it be worth it to do the front suspension and not the rear? Also how are the works shocks. Are elkas really that much better??????? Just because it will already cost a lot for works, and if the few hundred more is worth it ill porbably go that route.

i worked at burger king when when i was 15. Now that i have real job,(im 23) i realize it was prob the best job i had. besides the pay which sucked it was a lot of fun. But i just went from a z400 to my banshee. Now the banshee is way faster but like everyone said suspension is horrible. But its worth it :beer:

well a little update on this thread. My buddie just brought the bike over to my house and i ran it up and down the street a couple times. It does not feel like it will keep up with my banshee. Its fast, but does not pull as hard as the shee does when its in the powerband. But were going out tomorrow so well have to line em up :biggrin:

My thumb throttle is a little on the stiff side. After a couple hours of ridding i can barley push it in my thumb hurts so bad. :: Sorry if its a dumb question.

thats what i was wondering. I had a blaster with a lot of work done to it as well and could barley hang with a 400ex.

thats what i thought. I have had 2 different 250s as well. But we raced like 5 times. :shrug: if we took of in 3rd gear it would be dead even. but if we took of in first i was gone. But my banshee does feel as fast to me as my 250 did.

My buddy is picking one up on friday and we are going riding on sat. He thinks it will run with my banshee if not beat it. I told him i didnt think so but i dont really know that much about it. The only thing i have raced on my banshee is a rm250 dirtbike and i did beat it but just barley. The bike he is getting is stock and i have the mods in my sig. What do you guys think?

Sorry for another suspension question but i dont know that much about it. This is my first banshee and it is deff my fav quad i have ever had but the suspension blows. My last bike was a suszuki z400 which was not near as fast, but took the whoops and trails much better. So im hoping over the winter to get all new suspension. As far as riding style, i do the trails, little bit of jumping(no mx just random things you can jump off ) and a little in the sand. Just looking for good all around suspension. I have been looking at works shocks but there are a few diff kinds and i dont know the diff. Also is it worth getting diff a arms? and swing arm? What are tha advantages of having like +2 a arms? Sorry for the dumb questions, just want to get my wish list going :biggrin:

i have not messed with the carb at all. Im pretty sure its because its not getting gas. Because when i do spray the eather in there the first time it only burns it off then dies. If i give it gas nothing happens. But after i spary it in the the 2nd time is when it starts right up with no problems.

thanks for the replys guy. How do i do a compression test? I guess something screws into the spark plug hole? And where would i buy the guage at? Also if it does need a rebulid what all would need to be done? I was told buy the guy i got it from it got rebuilt in march.

I have had it for about 3 weeks noe but never got to go anywhere besides my street. But went out to day to tear it up. Everything was going good until my tie rod fell off :: . But it was just the nut that came off and by a maricle a stock lug nut fits the bolt on the tie rod. I was the happiest man alive when i realized it was going to fit. So i got to ride the rest of the day. Also was very impressed with the bike when i beat my buddy in a drag race. He was on a 95 rm 250 with pipe and other stuff. Couldnt belive that when i pulled past him. Any ways that all i got. :beer:
