  1. I agree with big on this one 100% 250R has good geometry but with limited cash you would be farther ahead to keep the shee since its allready got some good mods...
  2. we have about 12 gallons of gas mixed for the boat from summer and it isnt good quality oil so I wont run it in my shee. It is just gunna go to waist and with gas prices today thats about $28 in gas so I am thinking of dumping it into my ranger. what ya think???? will it foul my plugs or will if just run through and not hurt a thing???? pic of the truck (my daily driver)
  3. get the +4 degree key thats cheap then go with a trinity head or cool head they are all good, then pretty much what everybody else said, and tuneing is very important, you can bolt all that on and get 5 hp and go back to the garrage and tune it right in and get 10hp so make sure you jet and jet again,,,
  4. I have done it a few times. I live just below the canadian border in NY, we have a good -40 weekend or so per winter. and lots of cold other than that. im usually on the sleds in the winter but I have been know to blow up a sled and go home and get the shee out... make sure you jet it up a little to compensate for the colder air I would recomend having good foam air filter with good water resistant oil to keep any snow out and yes definately a good pair of leather gloves to keep that windchill off...
  5. what? no one has anything to say about their belovid sox anymore??? ONE MORE GAME FOLKS... THEN ITS ALL OVER BUT THE CRYING
  6. good to see a familiar name back around the community again...
  7. nice kit!!!
  8. ok thats not normal. there are some good ideas here but if you are overheating in just a couple runs then you have a prob. not something that just engine ice or an inline cooler are gunna fix. maybe you aren't overheating at all. ok.. if your head gasket is no good (as mentioned above) you will blow coolant out the over flow cause the head gasket is allowing exhaust to enter the coolant and pressurizeing the system. run it and see if your radiator is getting warm all over. not just at the top but all over. if it is then check your head gasket. if it isn't getting an even warm temp all over then you better check your impeller and impeller gear and see if one is fuked up. if the rod holding your impeller gear in place is spinning in the gear you will overheat and if your impeller is broke or stripped it will overheat also . you need to make sure it is def over heating. Remember if your rad. isnt getting an even hot/warm all over then you are not circulateing coolant and you have a problem (most likely with your impeller or impeller gear) if your rad is gettin warm and you are spitting coolant out the overflow then change your head gasket. (and when you take it off look at the head/cylinder decking to see if there is black on one or the other from exhaust passing through them this will tell you that your head gasket was def. the problem. GOOD LUCK!!! trust me Ive been exactly where you are now and it is a pain in the ass... makes you feel like this
  9. I had it setup so just the very tip was in the flow of coolant but it seemed like it took forever to tell the temp. so I changed it so it was right down in and now it changes temp fairly quickly but i was just afraid it was blocking the flow...
  10. YANKEES F*CKIN RULE !!!!!!!
  11. score: 19 yanks, 8 socks how about that.. so much for the "home field advantage" hahahahaha see ya.... you just got smoked!!!! YANKEES
  12. HUM... I have never really heard feedback on the dmc's I just havnt heard much about them...
  13. RED SOCKS???? Who the hell are they a rhode island team or sumthin?? hahahaha lol YANKEES RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its like linen up a banshee and a 400ex they dont stand a chance. The yanks might give the socks a game or two just to make it look good for em so they dont get the shit kicked out of their loosin ass but other than that its all over boston... sorry!!!
  14. cool, Thanks guys. Im sure there is room for an air bubble to pass by the temp guage rod it is just obstructed alittle bit.
  15. I dont think with your mods you will have to worry too much about a 450 kit in a suzuki... line him up and see. im pretty sure youll smoke him in a drag race... look at my mods, I have beat yfz 450s, lots of modded raptors, 2 local modded 250r's, a tacate that is bored and stroked to a 350 (acording to the owner anyway, he got beat by a ported and piped 250r as well as me), I think you will be ok...
  16. I have a temp guage on my shee just so I can kinda keep tabs on it. I took the small hose that runs off the top of the head and unpluged it at the radiator. I put a brass T on it and put a small section of hose from one of the other two nipples on the T to the radiator and the last nipple was sticking straight up. I put another small section of hose off that one straight up so it came out just under the handlebars. I put a sysco food thremomiter that runs from 0 degrees F to 220 degrees in the hose and put a clamp on it. now my only concern is will I have problems because of my temp guage "rod" partialy blocking the flow of coolant in that hose. I know that hose is really just to stop hot spots by allowing steam or coolant to flow off the top of the head. but will my reduction in flow cause me problems??? I had a setup just like this on my old shee and had no problems at all but I only had it for about 6 months after I put the temp guage on it... sorry for the long post I just wanted to realy explain everything that I did... thanks in advance!!! also... would an aftermarket head elimate the problem of a possible hot spot on top of the head??? if so I wouldnt have to worry about partially blocking the flow of that hose with my temp guage....
  17. my silencers are very much level. im not sure if they were when it was stock. I dont remember but it is level as can be now... I do have floppy fenders (especially when im doing a brake stand) and I do smoke more out of one side...
  18. mine did it before the port work and it still does it. I have matched cases and a good cleanup port and im still gettin it. but im not worried as long as others have the problem too and im not gunna loose a motor over it or anything...
  19. hahahahah lol nice!!
  20. yup, I spank into the intake before every race
  21. HUMMMM well if its fairly common im not gunna worry about it...
  22. has anyone ever figured out why some shees have one pipe that smokes more than the other??? I know this is fairly common but WHY??? my old shee never did it and my new one has always done it. I have even had the entire motor done (top to bottom) and it still does it. both carbs are in perfect sinc. both cylinders have exactly 140lbs compression... anyone know why this happens???
  23. he prolly sits in front of the computer hitting refresh until someone replys to his ignorant post and then goes out and beats off all over his mojave... AAAHHH kawasaki rules whoooo oooohhhh aaaahhh wow... someone likes me they replied to my thread.... aaaahhhh
