  1. I'm in Tennessee, but I'm willing to travel some. I've got an 87 w/ a 4mil cub I'm trying to sell or trade.
  2. why don't you just buy my bike, swap the cub in mine onto yours, but your stocker in mine and have a backup!
  3. My mods are listed. This is an 87 frame shee that was built last year. I bought the $2300 complete 421 4mil cub kit. It's only been ridden a handful of times since the cub was built. The lower cases aren't that great. The upper was broken by a chain break and the lower has a hairline crack around one of the clutch cover bolts. However, there are no oil leaks or anything. The frame's in pretty good shape and the j-arms are tight. Currently the headlights and taillight are not working, because I've bypassed the on/off switch. I have an extra set of pretty good wheels and tires. The ones on it now are only a few months old. It has a +4 swinger, chrome CPI's, 30mm carbs, new chain, etc. etc. I've got about $6,800 invested in this thing and I just don't have anywhere to ride it. It's too fast for the trails around here. I've got a group of friends who are getting into mx pretty hard core. My 01 yz125 ain't cutting it in the woods, so I'd like to trade or sell the shee so I can get a newer thumper. If anyone has a nice fourstroke bike, like a CRF 450R or something, let me know. My cell is 423 508 4747. I'm in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and I'm willing to travel some distance to meet.
  4. I'd like some billet or polished exhaust hangers, some plain black shock covers and some after market nerf bars with black nets. I know I can get all of this crap off of feabay, but I figured someone may have this stuff laying around gathering dust...
  5. I want some exhaust clamps / connectors for my CPI sb inframe drag pipes. Specifically, I would like to get some billet clamps
  6. I may be interested in the broken case. What's the best you can do shipped to Chattanooga?
  7. If anyone knows somebody looking to get rid of a decent set of extended arms that will fit an 87 frame, let me know. Thanks! P.S. I know where I can buy 'em new, I just don't want to pay $480 for them.
  8. I'm looking for a replacement headlight/on-off switch for my 87. Apparently the plug style changed at some point in the 90's. I need the old style square plug type switch. I've seen a few on ebay for around $15, but they look like crap. I'd like to find a decent looking one if possible. Let me know if you can help me out...
  9. Thanks for the advice! My pilot is a 55 and I'm on the middle clip. It doesn't bog or anything. For what its worth, I can't be more happy with the way the cub runs. I got my setup from majicperformance by the way. Mike over there is super nice and very helpful.
  10. I've got an 87 shee that I've been messing with. I bought it a few years ago pretty cheap and ran it until it blew up. The bike came with those OKO keihin knock off 30mm carbs by the way. When I had the motor torn apart we discovered that I was already .80 over so I had to decide whether to resleave, buy new jugs or do something else. I figured what the hell, so I bought a 421 68mm 4mil cub /hotrods crank setup and a NOSS coolhead with 20cc domes. My friend and I built the motor and put everything back together. I then added some CPI inframes, a +6 swingarm and new wheels and tires. To be safe, I ran 178 main jets and I have taken it pretty easy on the bike for the past few months (I've haven't run it for more than a few minutes at a time and I've always let it warm up good). It has been running ok, but I have some oil leaking from the tailpipes and the plugs are pretty wet and black all of the time. I just went from the 178 mains to 168's (I thought I had some 172's but I don't so I just ordered a set). I ran the bike with the new plugs down to my friends house to let it warm up and then ran it back wide open in third gear and shut it down while it was still gunned. I pulled the plugs and they are both a lighter tannish color and dry. (I'm running Motul 800 32 to 1 on 93 octane FYI). My elevation is about 650-700 ft above sealevel. I'm also running the stock airbox with no lid and a K&N filter kit. I know I'm under carbed and that ideally I would have pod filters, but I ride alot of trails and dirt roads, so I want a good filter. Now I also understand that a cub setup is not for woods riding and all that, but I wanted one so I bought it - so be it. However, I would like some help in terms of jetting and what my plugs should look like. Here are my questions: 1) Do 168 mains with 30mm carbs and an airbox sound way too rich for a 421 cub at 650ft elevations? 2) What should my plugs look like? 3) Will the stock radiator keep me cool enough? Any other advice would be appreciated!
  11. On Ebay item number: 260050724252 java script:ol('http://cm.ebay.com/cm/ck/1065-29296-2357-0?uid%3d21336267%26amp;site%3d0%26amp;ver%3dLCA080805%26amp;item%3d260050724252%26amp;lk%3dURL');
  12. Pictures Sorry about the delay - Ben out of town.
  13. I'm not sure how much shipping would be. You could get on fedex's website and get an estimate. My zip is 37920 in Tennessee. The SST's don't have as much torque as the gnarly's but more than the fatty's. They are a great all around pipe for stockish motors. I'm not sure if they are the only chrome pipe that FMF makes. But I do know that they look great! I'll try to post some pics tomorrow.
  14. I've got a set. They're fine. I haven't had any trouble.
  15. I just got a set for 519 from power-yamaha in Oregon. They buy them unfinished and then have them triple chromed at a local shop. Supposedly, the chrome is better. We'll see. I get them on Monday.
  16. Well, they're going on ebay tomorrow if no one's that interested. These are chrome w/ high polish. They are in awsome shape. Shipping will be $20.
  17. I've got a set that are .80 over. I just melted a piston in one, so I went with a cub setup. They have not been ported. One needs to be cleaned up anyway because of some debris from the cylinder that melted. No studs in the jugs, as I reused them in the cub  These would be a great candidate for sleaving! Make me an offer....
  18. I have a set of FMF SST's w/ powercore 2 silencers for sale. I'd to get around $275 for them. I ran them for 4 months before my latest meltdown. I just built a 4 mil cub motor and I just bought a set of CPI's from power-yamaha in Oregon. This setup is in great shape, no dings or scrapes. There is the normal bluing and wear on the pipes from four months of use. These pipes worked great on my stocker. Call 865 310 6594 with any questions. You can check out my feedback on ebay (username tomgautreaux), I have 100% positive feedback. I'll take paypal, check, money order, etc. Thanks!
  19. I want to buy a good set of used CPI inframes. I have a set of SST's for trade or sale too.
  20. I'm building a 4 mil Cheetah stroker this weekend. I have FMF SST pipes and silencers that are immaculate. From what I've been told, these pipes will suck with the new motor and I need to go with a CPI setup. Let me know if anyone is interested in trading or has a good set of pipes for sale.
  21. I have a 95 with 30mm cpw carbs (kien knock offs), bored .80 over. NOSS cool heads w/21 cc domes. FMF SST pipes and turbine 2 silencers. K&N cone filters connected directly to carbs. Running 93 octane and 36:1 motule 800. Temp 80 - 90 degrees. I live in Knoxville, so not too much altitude - maybe 750 ft. I ran the bike at half and full throttle w/ 55 and 155 jets. The plug was light grey/ ashy color and the bike surged alot. Also, it started dying like it was running out of gas at low rpm. I just put in a 162 main last night. What clip should I set the needle at? Is this main too rich? What else should I know?
  22. Yep, I'm in Knoxville. We ride at Royal Blue towards Onedia, TN. Also, of course, Winrock is unbelievable. I'm not happy, on my way to work this morning, I looked under the shee, and its leeking oil from the crank case cover again. It's seeping from the lower left corner. I added a new gasket and siliconed it and everything! Oh well, I guess I'll have to give it another go tonight to seal her up.
