  1. Just got the shee the other, day, and it was running great when I parked it, so I go out this morning to ride, and start it up to warm it. It immediately shuts off when not given gas. I rode it around a little bit thinking it just needed to get good and warm, it runs pretty good while moving, a little boggy b4 it takes off, but not major. It still has the stock carbs, and TORS, but I need help getting it to run? As soon as you let of fthe throttle it will shut off soon as it RPM's drop to where idle should be. We tried turning the screws on the rear/top of the tors, from under the seat, but that didnt seem to make a difference in either direction.
  2. Well, I'm sure you'll need to disconnect the posts... and probably pull the batter out of it's tray/basket whatever it is. Maybe some1 with a little more knowledge of the problem will chime in. Or you could try looking on www.EXriders.com
  3. If it's an older bike, like my friend's 99, you might just want to buy a new battery. But yes, you can charge it I believe, take the seat off and all that, and you ought to be able to figure out how to get the battery out.. I'm not able to give step-by-steps without looking at it, but I'm sure it's do-able. Good Luck! Those things aren't any banshee, but they're fun to ride!
  4. Just got the 'shee last night, and went out ridin with 2 of my friends, who both have bone-stock warriors. Now, this is a little embarrassing, since I've got a '97 'shee, bored over, wiseco pistons, FMF Gold Series pipes, no airbox let, jetted, and 22" holeshots. Anyway, we lined the 'shee, and one of the Warriors up to drag, for the first time. It was a straight away, maybe 300ft.. Anyway, it was soft sandy kind of conditions, and then there was a grassy part you could run on right besides it too. First run, I was in the sandy part, and we took off, and I couldn't pull away, we were pretty even the whole way.... I know I've got moooore than enough power and all to walk him easy, but I couldn't get ANY traction. I made it to about 4th gear before I ran out of room, but was spinning through the first 3 gears. The second race, I ran in the grass part, and it was better.. but still spinning like mad. I won all the races, but I should have left him in the dust I think... Any tips on taking off in those kinds of ground conditions, or clutching/shifting technique's? We dragged on the pavement a little while afterwards... and well, you can assume what the results were when I could hook-up.
  5. i got it, already, thanks for the help tho, I used 16oz to 4gal's for 32:1. MAN THESE THINGS RIPP! :baseball_bat:
  6. I'm gonna be going to pick up the banshee here soon, and wanted to know the best way to mix my Yamalube 2-R. I've got a 5 gallon gas can, and I assume 32:1 would be a good mixture, but what is the easiest/quickest way to get the right mix. I'm new to this premix stuff. --I'm only using the Yamalube for a little while till I order some AMSOIL.
  7. FINALLY, today I sold my Blaster, which means Friday I'm gonna be picking up my 97 Banshee. I had the worst luck selling this Blaster... I rebuilt the top-end about 10hrs ago on it, and it was running like new, then the night the first guy was supposed to come pick it up, I went to take it for one last short ride in the afternoon, and the thing quit on me, 10ft after takeoff. I couldn't figure out the problem, and so I tore it all down and found the base gasket was leaking, so I ordered a new kit from the local shop for 30 bucks, and replaced it. Luckily that night the guy had a family emergency or something, but I never heard from him again. SO, then I get the new gaskets in last Friday night, and it runs decent, but has a horrible knocking noise, I was completely clueless as to what it could be, but I just said F'it, it's running. Then got 2 more calls on it this Monday, and a guy wanting to come look at it today. It had sat all weekend, and when we brought it back over here this morning before the guy was here, it wouldnt START! So out in my driveway.. I tore it down to piston and empty jug in about 45minutes, everything checked out, and we couldn't figure out the problem, it was like it wasn't getting gas, but anyway.. The guy showed up, and ended up buying it for 900$ cash. I'm just SOO happy to get rid of it, I know this is a long story but I had to tell someone haha, and who better than the BHQ, right? Anyway, bottom line is, Blaster SOLD, 97 piped banshee coming FRIDAY!!!
  8. I was going through that Magic Racing site to find some of the things I wanted, and I came across this K&N filter, but I'm not sure if I should set the quanity to 1, or 2, or if this is the correct one? http://www.magicracing.com/KN-Filter--Banshee_p_170-454.html I hear people talking about K&N Pod filters, is this what it is?
  9. There's soooo many different bars, and different bends, on RMATV for example... any suggestions? I'd like to not spend a ton of money just on bars.. like around 50-60 would be good. Something higher, would be nice, your thoughts on a set?
  10. A friend of mine, and I went to see/ride that banshee last night. It seems to be very clean, no signs of leaking around any of the gaskets, or seals. The oil was all good. It started up with 2 kicks or so when cold. After that it would start 1st kick. The handlebars are low, but they are kinda cool feeling like that, and I'm 6'2". All in all, it seemed to be in great condition. MAN do these things have some power??? I was test ridin it down a sandy/dirt road, and I was just trying to get a feel for the power, and seeing if I could get the front end up in like 1st/2nd, and everytime I'd hammer it, all I would hear was KKKSHHHHHHHHHH the tires spinnin and throwin rocks and sand everywhere lol! I loved the sound of it too. I'm hoping to get back up there next week to pick it up.
  11. I realize the front tires aren't good. He said that they have small leaks in them that run out after a week or so, but he's willing to put tubes in them for free, before I go to look at it, since he works @ a shop.. So all in all, if everything checks out, it's a pretty good deal?
  12. Well, this thursday, if all goes to plan, I'll be going to check out a 97 banshee. It is red and black, has a red PC'd frame, and black PC'd swinger, FMF gold series pipes, imitation holeshot rears, YZ handlebars, and some other little stuff. Is there anything specific I should be looking at on a banshee to show signs of problems ahead or whatever. It also has a new wiseco top end less than 10 hours ago. He's asking $1900 firm. What do you think of the price? Here's a couple pics I have.
  13. PM me your email, and I'll send you some when I get home tonight.
  14. I'm pretty new to banshee's, and hoping to get one pretty soon. I'll be upgrading from my blaster, which I cant wait to get rid of... so out grown of it. Anyway, the group I ride with consists of a piped 400ex, some warriors(all stock), and some stock cr250f's. I basically was wondering if a piped 'shee could handle all of these in drag-style races.
  15. Well, I've sort of stopped playing over time... Don't know why really, just loss of interest I guess, but anyway, I have a Hartke 410XL cab, and a Behringer BX3000T head for sale. The cab has 4 10" aluminum cone speakers, handles 400watts. The head has a few different effects, and equalizer controls, and pushes 300watts. This thing is LOUD! The whole thing is in good-as-new perfect condition. Comes everything you need. The equipment is located in SW Michigan, 49046 to be exact. Willing to deliver up to a certain distance if needed... Asking $600 for the whole thing. I paid close to 800 for it, my loss is your gain. This amp is MORE than enough to play with a full band without needing any additional boost from PA's or whatnot. It WILL shake your house, guaranteed. Also Up for sale is an Ibanez GSR200 bass, it has a gloss transparent red finish. Has Dimarzio pickups, and near-new DR strings. Sounds like new! Very clean, and smooth sounding. Only one blemish in the finish, but is very small, and covered by your arm when playing. It comes with an Ibanez hard case, a Dunlop flame strap, and a cord from Guitar Center w/ a lifetime warranty, take it back if it fails, and get a new one, no questions asked. Asking $150 for it all. If someone is interested in buying both the amp, and the bass, I'll knock some off the price. Once again, it's located in 49046, SW Michigan. You can PM me, reply here, my E-mail is: [email protected], and my AIM is: BassLine GT3. I can also get pictures if requested. EDIT: PIC ADDED: I know the pic is of poor quality/lighting, but it was taken with my 1.3mp phone cam. If your interested, I can take better pics of whatever you'd like upon request.
  16. Nevermind... just noticed the rules. Please delete this thread.
  17. Up for sale is a 1995 Yamaha Blaster, it's located in SW Michigan, zip is 49046. It's in great running condition, looks good for it's age. It has less than 5 hrs or so on new top end, wiseco piston, UNI air filter, RAZR 18" rear tires, 'shee front shocks, race cut plastics. Ridden as a trail quad, but have outgrown it, and time to move up to a SHEE! If anyone's interested, I'll trade the bike + cash for a 'shee. I'm asking $1400 OBO. PM me for pics, my email is [email protected] and my AIM is: BassLine GT3
  18. I'm in SW Michigan, around the Kalamazoo area, but am willing to drive to pickup within 2hrs driving distance, or 100-150miles. Maybe farther depending on the price.. Year doesnt matter, I just want something that runs strong, a piped shee would be preferred but doesnt really matter. Also, I'm looking to spend no more than about $1800.. Post up replys here, PM me, or drop me an E-Mail @ [email protected] Thanks for the replys! P.S. I also have a 1995 Yamaha Blaster for sale, it's got 'shee front shocks, wiseco piston, UNI air filter, and RAZR 18" rear tires. Top end rebuilt with less than 5hrs on it. Asking $1400 OBO, will deliver if needed up to 25miles, and buyer pays gas. PM me for pics if interested. Also, my AIM is: BassLine_GT3
